It's because TenZ retired and C9 dropped moose

There are 2 Canadians in EMEA now with koalanoob and florescent, though, so that's cool to note

Yes, the ult should stun, flash, nearsight, decay, vulnerable, suck, reveal, suppress, and detain you, as well as disable your primary, secondary, and knife... all while deleting System32 in the background

I miss LOUD 2023 😔

They then proceeded to 2-0 MIBR shortly thereafter (on map 1, which was MIBR's map pick, EG won 13-2 and C0M went 15/5)

My rough ideas are:

  • High Tide (E) cooldown decreased from 40 >> 30 seconds
    • Why High Tide has a longer cooldown than every other smoke in the game is beyond me (I get it's a wall, but Viper wall also has a shorter cooldown).
  • High Tide (E) maximum distance increased from 50 >> 65 meters
    • This change would open up a ton more positions where Harbors can now play but still comfortably smoke for the team.
    • On smaller maps, this might also mean Harbor can lurk, depending on the situation.
  • High Tide (E) is no longer visible to enemies before it's fully deployed
    • Essentially this means the line that's drawn on the floor when you cast High Tide isn't visible to the enemy team until the wall goes up. This will make it a LOT harder to tell where Harbor is walling from (it won't make it impossible to tell, as high level players who are used to Harbor will know where walls are thrown from, but let's cross that bridge when we get to it).
  • High Tide (E) and Cascade (C) slow changed from 30% >> 0% for allies and 30% >> 50% for enemies
    • This is self-explanatory. Water should slow you down a noticeable amount, but your abilities shouldn't negatively affect yourself or your allies.
  • Cove (Q) cost decreased from 350 >> 300 credits
    • Cove is genuinely one of the strongest abilities in the game for pistol round, but the problem is that no one ever opts for it because they'd rather buy a ghost. This will fix that (plus it's a nice quality of life change).
  • Reckoning (X) stun windup decreased from 1.35 >> 1 second
    • Stun is very easy to dodge right now. I get that's not the primary objective of the ult—that would be the information it provides—but a tier 1 level player can dodge the Harbor ult and get a multikill in the process, which is definitely not good (I don't have any clips of this, but I remember seeing this several times, mostly in Icebox games).

Note: Anderzz (FNATIC's guy for figuring out new maps) actually had a really cool idea for Harbor's High Tide and Cascade, where he thought bullets could have their damage reduced or maybe even become inaccurate when going through Harbor's smokes. The idea was to try kill two birds with one stone, countering the spam meta while buffing Harbor at the same time. But I think that's a bit far-fetched for now

Also hello, resident Harbor main, nice to meet you :)

That's a curious one. Never heard it before

You should try contacting Riot Support: https://support-valorant.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

That I'm unsure of. It'll probably be different depending on the patch and how major it is, if I had to guess

posted 10 months ago

I don't have the link but they did say they're doing it every act

Jan-Feb: Kickoff + Bangkok
Mar-Apr: Stage 1
May-Jun: Stage 1 Playoffs + Toronto
Jul-Aug: Stage 2 + Stage 2 Playoffs
Sept-Oct: Champions
Nov-Dec: GC Champions

The only thing I'm unsure about is whether or not Stage 1 Playoffs will be on the previous map pool or not, since it is in very early May

They said they'd be doing a map pool change every act from now on. So for pro, it'd most likely look like this: https://i.imgur.com/lzIF7M4.png (green lines are map changes)

Teams should already be prepping for and even scrimming on Lotus/Fracture. This is the reason why Riot is letting people know about map rotations ahead of time

posted 10 months ago

Not sure, honestly. I don't think it's too big of a deal, though, especially since the offseason has given more than enough footage for CN teams to antistrat if they need to

His midrounding for the team was also very very good, some of the best in EMEA if what I've heard is correct. This is one of the biggest reasons I think FNATIC opted for crashies—he's been very vocal on both OPTC and NRG, as far as I'm aware

The problem (one that I've had before) is that you're playing so many agents that you can't really learn any one of them. Focus on 1 or 2 agents (or 1 or 2 per map, at least) and ONLY play those agents, at least for a while. Learn those agents, and learn them well. Soon enough, the correct utility will be instinctual—you won't have to overthink with your abilities because you'll be comfortable using them so it'll be second nature. That way, you'll not only get much more impact than if you simply lock Reyna every game, but you'll also find your games are easier and less headspace-consuming
