Absolutely, and this is the exact message I'm trying to express here. Too many dimensions were being neglected in the analysis by the OP, yet they appeal to such harsh meassures based on not even the half-assed anlysis to decide the impact of the said player... PERIOD.

Though, please disregard my double meaning and "being a dick" approach. All is done in a good cause <3

This type of behaviour is quite regular and seasonal here...
The only thing I don't understand is why phrases like "please drop," "repair," or "get rid of..." shoud sound so harsh. For some reason, it feels like the underlying tone is constantly nasty in these sort of posts.

Many people forget or don't understand that it's a f-ing game, and games are typically unpredictable in nature... No matter how much orgs try to sway the chances in their favour by luring attractive players, IGLs, or coaching/analytics, they can never be certain of the outcome - no matter what! But, no, on here we're all full of judgements (including myself ofc), though some of us still doing great job in keeping our judgments to ourselves - especially when it comes to judging pro-Valorant players etc.

To add, while looking at IGLs, the OP at least looked at some data and did their best (respect here), however the main factor in their analysis was/is wrong, since fragging power does not equate trophies (general trend.) Adding more fragging power(controllable indicator) to the team certainly helps in terms of impact, but it is not synonymous with winning... and such is the nature of probabilistic environments known as games. Had anyone known how to build a successfull team from the get go, we'd be all on the mount Olympus sipping champagne 24/7.

Additionally, when looking at IGLs data, people manage to ignore coaching stuff, as if IGLs were acting solely on their own. This is another factor that is heavily overlooked by some when ANALysing IGLs of the game... yet this coach/IGL factor is considered to be very important, let alone, people also forget to look at the historical success in such ANALysis, and fully neglect on strength of the teams that those players/teams in question played against... too many conditions are ignored, hence we get such reports/analysis which are of the lowest quality possible - like the one presented by the OP. MASSIVE SADGE, bro!

And please, don't forget to provide us with a more in-depth analysis (of yours ofc) on IGL issues in NA, or you might seem a bit BIASED(?) - if you know what I mean... But wait, you aren't biased, are you?

You are completely correct, and they do need to establish a trend of esports discipline and structure, as well as certain work ethics that come with it... but there has been a challenge in importing such new viewes/visions... and, as strange as it may sound, the issue here is more of acceptance than anything else. Efforts to bring in new systems and coaching staff from outside the region have previously failed (except the import of players) which are the reasons to the overall stagnation in the region - Imho. The subject is not something to be discussed openly, however you may check through Insomnia's transfer history to get an idea, if you haven't heard about certain cases already <3

Well, there's nothing wrong with thinking TL is the best or one of the best in their present form... however, supporting such claims with something more substantial is always encouraged;)

However, IMHO, TL is nowhere near their top form right now. Sure they'll work it out, but Navi appears to be alright in the meanwhile.

And yes, to note by mentioning TL's terrible form, I am not implying by that that Team Secret is weak. I'm merely questioning TL's terrible form, nothing else.

posted about a year ago

No, they are not overlooked at all...

Team Secret is a strong and dangerous team that is showing signs of improvement across the roster this season. Honestly, the last time they played ITL, I was impressed by their personal, high skill level... the lads had demonstrated that they were not to be toyed with (for a sec, if we ignore that 0-13 loss to Gambit)...
Without diving into details, Invy and the rest of the team looked more than convincing against TL to make a strong call. Also Jassie seemed absolutely in place to excell in calling and add a damn good number of fraggs during TL match. And their team chemistry, in general, throws out some very positive vibes which was not seen last time they played ITL....

It's all well and cooking in Team Secret's house.

On the other hand... Navi is not exactly a walk in the park... are they? ;)

Without doubt, the match will be exciting to watch. GL!

posted about a year ago

That's great... Neither LEV nor Navi are one-dimensional teams, and both are capable of deploying different forces on their opponents at different times during the game - TACT/STRATS in action.
The question is whether Navi will face LEV in the semis or will it be a different draw - Team Secret is not an easy opponent. Though, whatever happens with LEV, I'm least concerned, but who knows how they'll do... Can't wait to see.

posted about a year ago

During the past Champions 2022, we heard similar claims... And even Kingg was impressive back then... but FPX 2-0 Lev... +twice FPX 2-0 KRU with keznit/mazino in the team....
To put it simply, teams from South America were never the type of cryptonite for FPX-NAVI.
But there will always be that first time. Hopefully, not this time ;)

Aye, that's the exact issue... they showed some significant potential but something wasn't clicking, despite the fact that all of them were top notch in terms of the skill - strictly imo and others may argue with me on that.

Edited: With all due respect, I despise the process of replacing/holding/etc players in Valorant orgs... don't get me started - sure, you know what I'm talking about <3
If a better approach had been implemented by the orgs, in the first place, their many earlier-hectic rotations of the players may have been avoided imho. Again, it's another unluchko moment in the industry... and I do realise that orgs take into consideration profit by default. However, for the same reasons, they could have been better prepared for the deeper dive/approach/insight ... yet it seemed that all they were concerned with is winning titles (which still is a decent goal, but how would they acomplish that in a such hury...) Eventually, all we're left with - additional members to an already vast pool of decent Valorant players out there who are waiting for another opportunity.

posted about a year ago

Aye, agree with you on xms - a very decent player... and can/will add impact in KCORP's matches.... It's just that I'm still salty by EU orgs' disregard for the former Team BDS lineup - kind of unluchko to the boys, really <3

"Finger tapping speed (FTS) peaks at 39 years of age and declines with an accelerating trajectory thereafter." - FTS has a lot to do with your topic.

So, why only ask 16-year-olds and not all age groups from 16 to 39? Also, why do you believe that only 16-year-olds have lots of free time and not the other age groups up to and including 39?

Hmm, I'm getting weird impression that, for reasons unclear to me, you're strictly interested in 16-year-olds.

I'm curious why that is? Are you ...?

Some stats...

Deathadder V2 PRO - 88g
Click Latency: Wired: 3.0 ms; Receiver: 3.8 ms
Movement Delay(Sensor): To Start: 14 ms; At Half: 5.7 ms; To End: 7.1 ms

Deathadder V2 - 80g
Click Latency: Wired: 2.6 ms
Movement Delay(Sensor): To Start: 12 ms At Half: 4 ms To End: 5.7 ms

You'd expect a somewhat lower latency response if you went with the wired version, though to be honest, it's already fairly low to begin with (between the two). The PRO version, on the other hand, would allow you to play wirelessly, which is a deal breaker for some, at the cost of an extra 8 grammes of weight and twice the price of the wired version.

As an alternative, you might always choose Deathadded v3 PRO, which is a tad superior version of the Deathadder series to date.

Wait a moment, kiddo. The country in question is not automatically disqualified from discussion of CIS status, if it does not sign the ratification. De facto, Ukraine has consistently participated in all of CIS summits, and for this same reason, it is regarded as belonging to the CIS, even if the ratification has not yet been signed... To be more precise, an observer status of Ukraine ties it to CIS ;)

Ukraine is just another CIS country like any others... similar to Latvia, Lithuania, Georgia and Estonia ... PERIOD

Now, go get some better eduaction for yourself, and remember to deepen your weak ass research skills, or simply GET GOOD!

The question is more, "Why are those players unlucky? They are, without a doubt, not the only unlucky players in the world scene. And there are other, equaly important statistics to judge the skill of players in question etc.
The guys you mentioned vary in the HS% 30s and below... whilst around 30% is regarded high in pro matches but not the highest highs... imo there are plenty of pros in that region aswell and those pros win games/play in better teams +in better orgs, if you will, and so on.In general, HS% is more of an efficiency indicator of impact through kills in the game than a merely judge kind of one of the player's skill; and should be compared to total kills in the game (as indicated by several comments above) to create a more complete picture. For example, add first bloods and you can see how influential a duelist is on a team... of course, deaths and assists should not be overlooked, etc.
In addition, if you notice any similarities in various statistics, you might devise a formula, a ratio that relates HS% to other statistics(and there are many), or even testing its correlation. It's only that we haven't seen anything other than KAST and other formulas +typically given clutch ratios and so on, nor have we seen any type of research on the topic in Valorant. Yet, it's always interesting to see such analyses;)

Out of your list ...

  • I wouldn't place G2 that low because they aren't quite toothless... I haven't seen much from OXY except Penny/Wippie and Shahz/Dapr - and I know the consensus however I've seen them perform very well, and it appears to be more of an approach issue, to me ... for which they have a very capable coach - Ian Harding.
  • We haven't seen the best of TSM yet - they are usual suspects from previous times who can and know how to bite quite effectively.
  • SR is clearly trending, and there is no reason not to have some faith in them at the present - a really great team with interesting players.
  • Now The guard... what worries me is that they've lost its "playmaker" (not an IGL, of course, but a duelist who can properly stretch the opposition) - Sayaplayer? If you recall Haven from https://www.vlr.gg/77792/optic-gaming-vs-the-guard-champions-tour-north-america-stage-1-challengers-gf/?game=74769&tab=overview/?game=74769&tab=overview which was freakishly outstanding from Sayaplayer and the entire squad... but he's gone now, and it's difficult to foresee how they'll replace him with as exciting gameplay as he used to offer for the team.
  • And m80... to be absolutely honest, if they manage to fulfil their full potential as a team (which is as vast as...), it's game over. Not meaning to be insulting to other teams but this gang has some cracked individuals ... I mean Nismo, eeiu(who's improved immensly), koalanoob(I still remember some of his plays) and zander. Johnqt will be the IGL to suit the team which also makes sense here... these lot are looking dangerous af.
  • Can't add much on the rest but Soniqs should not be that low, for sure.

So:

  • Looks like you've nailed m80 on the right spot...
  • Yet not sure about Faze but perhaps you've also placed them more or less in their deserved spot for the start...
  • I argue that G2 should be at least in A - IMHO...
  • I'm conflicted about TSM, since you either put them correctly or they should be in A as well.
  • And FFS ... please move Soniqs to a more appropriate spot (not lower than C, no brainer) - don't be lazy.

Okay, now I get where you're coming from.... however the tag "YAY can only Chamber" is way exaggerated and unfair to the guy... People who followed him during his Andbox days would never say such nonsense, let alone those who knew him before Valorant... If anyone had any doubts, the guy is actually a professional player and a highly flexible one... the one with a top level AIM in the game too... as well as someone who is decently stable in his performance.

So please, it's alright to doubt any player but regarding YAY, you have to dig way deeper or it just looks like one of those 0/8 bait attempts;)

I agree on JcStani and love the guy... However, disregarding the stats for the moment, Hazed may be more suited for the overall team dynamics - ideally in the long run, because he is more mature for the direction that TSM has chosen? - imho
However, it is still sort of a gamble for TSM as they're trying to fulfill their approach that will let them succeed, and ofc will only become obvious once things get going. And in no way am I attempting to promote one player above the other in terms of skill capacity/talent, etc..., but am only providing a possible scenario...
One thing for sure, the gMd-Corey duo is very intriguing to me... I can see them having an influence on their future games.
But, in general, best wishes to all... and, sadly, some players from that deep NA pool will have to wait or.... <3

Aye, agree ... unfortunately, letting Destrian go may be the solution to their problem. Broadly speaking, he is not as good on the initiator roles as he can be on the smokes, but bone is on the smokes within the team, who is also not very keen to play the initiators... and neither is exceptionally good on them, which is a bit of a significant obstacle in rotating their comps roles in the long-run.

They would probably be better off with a player who is either more adaptable to a multi agent pool or a narrow initiator - ... combo player (who is also a decent fragger.)

Cough ... ccough ... I know BaddyG is a smoker main, but I'd want to see him back in VIT... preferably as the initiator, this time around... ... ... ... ... we just can't afford to lose such a talent like Kamil .... #HOPES
