I was one of the many EG doubters when they looked like shit at the start of 2023, but i switched up completely when Demon1 joined and I saw his gameplay, he is simply the truth, he is literally God's gift to us to save NA forever.

having ethan as an IGL is def the best thing they can do but then again there's going to be conflicting viewpoints of the game anyways. There's alot more doubts to work with here.
you can make any team function without an IGL only if they've been given enough time to get used to it I feel. NRG on the other hand have crashies & victor who've been babysat by FNS for years, Marved who actually became the IGL a bit for SEN, and ethan & demon1 who always relied whatever call Boostio had to say. Ethan's supposed to be the IGL but looking at EG's past comms you'll see how Ethan really only makes micro calls and not the big boy discussions an actual has to make.
i looked at it as smth down the line idk what you're so pressed about, im trying to show that this issue is something that's both current or inevitable depending on the region.
There's a reason why Tier 1 slots in Americas are so hard to obtain, NA and LATAM Tier 2 talent are trying to squeeze into one of the very limited 11 teams whereas EMEA and China don't have to worry about that issue when all of their players are from the same region.
This sorta problem will also soon hit the Pacific as well given that the game is growing in their countries that are brimmed with popularity and more importantly, esports culture. A quick example to that would be Korea, like how does Riot expect them to be immersed competitively in the same way as LoL in the future when they only have three official teams supporting their country?
This shit feels like an easy recipe for failure no matter how you look at it if we're assuming Valorant's going to be as successful as CSGO or LoL down the line.
