most people don't know how to team build for metas like OU etc., so I'm assuming this is easier to set up for an actual tournament.

Hello, as you may know, I am the greatest Pokemon gamer on this website.
This has been proven through previous iterations of the Bruhmphrey Gauntlet.
I am bringing it back; as a tournament (if anyone reads this post).
Pokemon Showdown! Random Battles (Gen 9) Bo3 per round, rounds dependent on entrants. Winner will get the equivalent of 20 CAD.
I will only run the tournament if we get at least 8 participants, and will take as many as can enter up until June 10th 2024.
Match bracket (facilitated through challonge) will be released after entry period ends, and it will be up to you to schedule and report your tournament battle wins to me (replay links are required). Forfeits will occur after 2 days of no response from point of an opponent contacting you.

True, but if the consequence of HW bans deter someone from certain actions, potentially causing them to rethink the potential harm caused, then why not implement that form of deterrence?
Saying what did she expect is capitulating to a mindset that this behaviour has any place within the game. The number of incels allowed in these spaces should go down, which in turn creates a gaming culture that doesn't generate or encourage new young men to mimic these behviours.

Competitive games often try to balance between appeasing fans and maintaining a healthy meta-game. Developers often find that the best fixes are ones that prioritize that healthy comp experience. This is achieved through either buffing or nerfing. I say "or" because it shouldn't be the case that characters, agents in this case, should be viewed from a myopic lens without overall comp context. Just because one outperforms, does that mean that massive nerfs are necessary? Wouldn't it be healthier for the game to see other characters slightly raised in strength, in conjunction with smaller nerfs to the problem area. This way, the player experience is ameliorated through the new possibilities brought by a buffed class of agents, rather than forcing the entire class to continue to suffer just because there was a star amongst them. After 3 months, saying I love you can still be hard, especially in high school. You are young, I know I was still figuring myself out at that age and dating was kinda hard at times back then. So try and talk to her, no matter what's changed, because realistically, you will both continue to grow and change as people. I don't know you and I can't speak to your specific situation, but I can bet that you'll feel relieved having spoken to her about it honestly and respectfully, rather than allowing it to become a 'what if'.
