yeah more relegations/promotions would help i guess but you'd have to be relegating a lot of teams (at least 4-5 relegations/promotions) to satisfy the entire scene, but with valorant's implementation of franchising it could actually work

if they'd bought their way in riot would've had no option but to use cs' method, but they didn't so........cool

i still think still cs' method is WAY better/fosters way more integration but.....aiit i guess.

almost every esport is semi-franchised and yeah semi-franchising does work, valorant's full franchising tho

semi-franchising is what blast and esl do (my 2nd point) and it's perfectly fine, i have no problems with that. riot already jumped the gun by having 30 fuckin franchised teams tho, so that's not happening anymore, except we un-franchise some teams lol

all in all, let's wait and see what his "revised calendar" has in store, and decide then

franchising is dogshit,

either adjust the hyper-inflated salaries and expected ROI that came with the covid boom from the top-down and let the scene breathe (this will probably save the entire esport scene as a whole tbh)

or make it so there partnered teams get invited to events and the rest of the non-partnered teams struggle through open quals in tournaments for a couple more slots (a few problems with this ik, mainly cause rito is super fucking greedy and already onboarded a fuck ton of franchising teams lol)

anything apart from franchising, shit format that kills scenes, should have no place in esports 👍
