either a w or we need that thread with the receipts
Chet not paying the salaries of his team anymore
100T fan, very in character tbh
I haven't visited in years, is that really the case? I'm a bit surprised.
Am I missing something or did he have less than a month to integrate himself into Talon... so yes.
True on french, turkish servers are 50-50 for me
??? Where was I hating on Zekken? The point is that he needs to "step it up" to the game you and I are familiar with. It's a pattern that I'm seeing happen over and over again. I'm tired of watching Sentinels rely on his entry and die for it.
So we all agree Zekken needs to step it up or SEN is getting grouped right?
You can say whatever you want about the other players, but all of the top teams have their duelists locked in. When icy plays good, G2 are unstoppable, aspas/t3xture nearly always play well, etc. And you can tell when their duelists are popping off because strats stop mattering.
"They need better strats", "X player needs to stop baiting", "Stop playing deadlock" = all coping. GENG could play a 5 duelist comp and still wipe SEN just because their players are consistently getting 1v2s.
Oh I thought you meant the opposite, that he should speed it up. Completely agree.
Yep - these are teams that (imo) are the most likely to cause an upset.
He's omen, his entire role is designed around being a team player. I'm dreaming of the day he returns to duelist, but I just don't see that ever happening on SEN.
Why is no one talking about DRX vs. FNC? Am I crazy for thinking this is gonna be the biggest game of the entire event (besides grand finals)?
I feel like these teams are both solid enough that whoever they get matched with in Playoffs, they have a strong change to knock out. I could 100% see a G2 getting hyped up for qualifying and then losing to DRX.
they are just yapping cause SEN not winning a single game in internationals and G2 will make semifinals
Could be bait but this is not just Tenz, spam meta in general requires fast entry, but SEN keeps picking deadlock and cypher.
God I absolutely love watching game VODs and talking on this forum hours after the game already happened. There is nothing I love more than waking up to the results.
I have vit winning and then losing to lev but I may have underestimated Trace
Ah you’re right, though I’m fairly sure OP was asking about the team in general or at least confusing the two tournaments.
The visa problem was several months ago, the team is still together and under Not Moist officially. Same team (with timmy) same org. They made Split 2 Playoffs and have enough points to make it into Grand Finals later this year.
So… we are all gonna get 100% on pickems until finals, right?
That one is great, my personal favorite is Usain Bolt’s 9.58 100m dash. Still has not been broken.
Except they are switching the title between that and “We played like kittens” to get more engagement. Clearly they are chosing titles that will get SEN fans talking about it (and pissed off)
Out of all the quotes they choose, “I felt like change wasn’t necessary” was completely out of context and makes it seem like he’s holding Sentinels back.
VLR writers knew what they were doing with that title, trying to stir up drama. 💀
Taiwan Semi-Conductor Corporation Fan has spoken
Good thing a team's skill isn't based on a single game, despite what all of VLR seems to think.
Saying SEN is scraping by far too many games and then expectedly losing isn't hating, it's recognizing a pattern.
I completely agree, I was there for almost the whole thing. The point is that I see people thinking this somehow means they aren't in the bottom half of teams this Champions.
It's not discrediting, it's just a fact. In the first game of the bracket, they nearly lost to TH in a 13-11 game. The map before, they got stomped 13-5. They were doing good, but not so good that we should be singing their praises.
You are not recognizing that they are likely the reason you are doing so well.
You should try watching their playstyles and seeing what you are lacking. Maybe one team member is getting very difficult kills or being very aggressive.
As opposed to the SEN fans who ignore the signs of their team's fake rise in skill? I have not seen SEN dominate in years.
They look like toddlers compared to the top international teams. And I'm saying this as someone who wants SEN to succeed.
Clearly you are underselling your teammates when you 5 stack.
Everyone was waiting for my take on SEN vs. GENG and let me just say... not surprised. Their only claim to fame is Master's Madrid, but let's take a look at the games:
SEN vs. TH: Barely scrape by
SEN vs. KC: It's Karmine Corp
SEN vs. Loud: Back when my boy Saadhak was going -30 in some games, does anyone actually think Loud is good in 2024?
SEN vs. GENG: Loss (get stomped on 2 maps)
SEN vs. PRX: I love PRX but I will never not count on this team to choke. The Leviathan of APAC.
SEN vs. GENG: scrape a win against a team formed 1 year ago, but still, good for them
Regular season: farmed wins against Loud, NRG, MIBR, and Furia to qualify for Champions
Anyway, we all know it's going to be GENG vs. G2 in the finals, what are your predictions for 2025?
Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. Even so, I wonder how hosting Champions in Korea will effect viewership, given a large part are from NA.
This makes sense, don't they have the NA arena in LA?
This has got to be the dumbest scheduling I have ever seen. Why are we putting NA games first, and then EMEA?
Example:
SEN vs. GENG is at 5 pm Korean Time = 4 am NA = 10 am EMEA (using Berlin as average)
Meanwhile PRX vs. TH is at 8 pm Korean TIme = 7 am NA = 1 pm EMEA
I'll give you a hint to which one the majority of NA watchers want to see.... it's SEN vs. GENG. Why not switch the games and let them both watch at a reasonable time?
Least parasocial VLR post
A while back we had a discussion about val missing good rivalries... what would ya'll think about M80 becoming T1 and net beating his old team (G2)?
all turkish people a bit zesty, that's fine. This is pure vlr brainrot.
If anything that's even more of a sign that there's a language barrier. Switching to another language the moment you aren't required to use it means you aren't fully comfortable in the original language.
