How much I want SEN to beat GenG. I am a certified sentinels hater, but they are one of the few teams that actually creates a good story. That's literally all I care about. I do not care if the team is talented or plays in a unique way, all I want is a rivalry and a good story. GenG just can't provide that.

posted 1 month ago

Anyone not making an opinion on the situation but thinks its scary that people will accept anything as fact?

posted 1 month ago

Lmfao this gotta be the only reason, I’m not even a sen fan but this is historic.

posted 1 month ago

God no one cares about these games, not even the team fans. Skip to Sen vs GenG rematch.

Pain. I live for the day this team climbs to T1.

dawg is 100% coming back after SEN beat GENG

posted 1 month ago

TH proved they are infallible. i've made posts about this before but it's quite literally all on Zekken.

If Zekken gets +20 Sentinels win, it's that simple.

posted 1 month ago

This is it. SEN vs GenG will be that game. I’m absolutely convinced that whoever wins this matchup will win Champs against G2 or TH.

Hear me out: GenG are already the favorites to win this. I can’t think of a better team. If G2 players average out to A tier, GenG averages out to S tier. And if SEN can beat this team somehow? Fluke or not this would be year-defining.

LOL HE'S BRONZE FOR SURE

I am still in shock over TH beating GENG. In my mind GENG are unbeatable.

posted 1 month ago

Honestly FPX might make this a close game.

Nadeshot had explain their loss to the shareholders somehow

Any ideas why they weren't allowed to?

Stereotypes, no, assumptions, yes. This post was not trying to be racial whatsoever. See #3 for why I am grouping together APAC and CN.

  1. As people have pointed out, the OVERALL tendency for NA teams to slack is evident in interviews and in the large number of pro player streamers (most notably, SEN, NRG, Loud, C9, 100T). This is coming from an NA fan, I can't tell you how many times a player will say "we weren't prepared."
  2. The scrim/VOD watch time comes from a GenG interview. I believe Munchkin is the one who brought up the 8-10 hour number.
  3. The main assumption comes from the fact that nearly all of the APAC/CN orgs have League counterparts, whereas most NA teams focus on Valorant, Apex, and CSGO. For the League teams, we DO have their schedules, and we know that the culture for e-sports in Asia is way different than NA. There is no reason why this culture would somehow flip for Valorant.

We are watching in real time as Valorant becomes League-ified, and NA has itself to blame.

I am a certified G2 defender. I have spent hours explaining why they are NA’s best team even back when they were doubted.

But I’m watching the match vs EDG and we BARELY scraped by. Here’s the reality: NA is cooked. Anyone saying otherwise is coping. The players from Korea and China have a work ethic that is unrivaled. Our teams recruit streamers and take weekends off, while they scrim for 10 hours a day.

posted 1 month ago

I would say League, alongside Korea

Drop out it's over.

posted 1 month ago

Not wrong and we’ve been saying this forever.

I’m genuinely sick and tired of them being treated like a top international team when they are below G2 in strats, consistency, and mechanics.

It’s just because tarik will stop at nothing to praise aspas.

posted 1 month ago

I just got a chance to check on the current results, actually surprised. GENG lost? How did that happen?

I predicted the DRX and LEV games to go differently too, so the only thing left is for G2 to have its prophecied loss to EDG.

where G2 was doing great at Champs until they choked against another team. As in, an absolutely abysmal match that saw nearly everyone go negative.

And VLR immediately forgot about G2's historic run and started hating.

Emea split 2 is still going? I thought all that’s left is Split 2 playoffs.

My guy most of us love PRX and want to see it succeed, but they are like that bad cousin that keeps breaking the law. At some point it gets tiring to see them not improve.

Literally 0 reason imo, I think this tournament is awesome but it's not in my timezone so I miss out on everything.

In which G2 loses to SEN. I know people say “anything can happen” but current form SEN would get danced around by valyn alone. At this point I’m not even sure they’ll beat FPX unless zekken starts shooting back.

posted 2 months ago

If you were a coach, how would you beat G2?

My take (with VOD clips, if you are interested):
G2 have basically mastered three things - staying mobile, double peeking and predicting util to counter it. Watch the two rounds I linked. G2 is never in one place even on defense, and every player except one is paired up. In the second, they predicted the timing for the viper and kj ults and were completely in control.

So how do you beat G2? Don't let them do anything of this. PRX shows this perfectly here and here with what I think is the ONLY way to beat G2: isolate the weaker players and overwhelm them. In the first clip, PRX know viper is likely alone. They full-push B and move very fast, picking off G2 one-by-one. In the second clip, something baits the team to B, and then PRX floods A. Add in a cypher/KJ to stop flanks? You can beat G2 9 out of 10 times.

Thoughts?

posted 2 months ago

Their lotus against Sentinels was genuinely scary. Not saying PRX = SEN but yea, G2 has it down to a science.

posted 2 months ago

“This playstyle” = more refined C9 run and gun. Why are we surprised when any competent igl shuts this down.

posted 2 months ago

Anyone who says G2 is boring peaked bronze. Watching G2’s pacing, strats, flanks, everything about them is approaching AI-levels of beauty.

posted 2 months ago

Watching this team play is just amazing. I know they aren’t crushing PRX but it feels like they are completely in control at all times.

Against a weaker team, they’d absolutely dance around them.

Fns runs ads excessively, it’s almosf unwatchable.
