bait used to be… oh wait, it was never believable

If that’s the case, then you should also be able to do the other way around (play poorly in stage 1 and pop off stage 2 and make champs), the odds of winning out in stage 1 and winning out in stage 2 are pretty much identical; the biggest problem with wiping the slate for stage 2 is that you don’t have time to run another round robin, so you could get absolutely fucked by having a strong group stage 2 while a weaker group gets more qualification spots
masters and champs are sadly not equivalent, its way more financially and reputationally beneficial to make it to champs
i do agree that riot making massive map/agent changes in the middle of the season makes it hard to stay consistent and its very odd

making stage 2 results more valuable than stage 1 wins makes stage 1 way less relevant, like what’s the point of trying in stage 1 if the records get wiped for stage 2? teams making mid-season changes need to deal with their poor performances in stage 1 and look to bounce back next year, any other way is categorically unfair

if they were actually scrimming with that, then yeah, not anymore 😂

posted 7 months ago

think they were just trolling with the comp cuz they weren’t properly prepared for haven, yeah

posted 7 months ago

lol i saw alecks laughing when drx picked haven and i knew iso was coming out

posted 7 months ago

its all predictions lol, ofc sen could play like split 1 form and flop but people have hope that they'll do well because their individual form in split 1 looked a lot worse than madrid and the offseason before
i would be hesitant to put sen super high up in americas bc other teams have gotten better, but the form they were playing in at madrid was unbeatable, with this long break they might be able to hit that again

is this a thing? if so, is it like sane discourse or is it all baits as well? if there is a normal server, pls lmk i would love to join

not at all, koi is lowkey cooking rn; obviously not a great team and nowhere close to like top half in vct but right now, teams like zeta and mibr look far worse

(as i was typing that) the coordination on that starxo yoru ult and the paranoia was pristineeee

i still remember when everyone was saying gen g was crazy for not dropping lakia after kickoff/madrid and now the dude is one of the best players on the team
he'll bounce back, stop overreacting

Map rotation will be Bind, Split, and Haven, with Riot designing four new maps to fill in. If any map is complained about, it is deleted and Riot must design a new map by the next day.

Each team plays twice every week in their league with no breaks in an octuple round robin. The losing team in each game is disbanded, with only the highest K/D player on the losing team being allowed to continue playing in pro. Any player going negative on the winning team is placed on the "fraudwatch" list, where they are required to add a 0 somewhere in their name and, if they go negative again, will be dropped by the team. To keep the number of players constant, random tier 2 players (and later premier players) will be promoted to pros, requiring at least one cocky VLR Raze player to be on the team.

As before, there will be two Masters and one Champions event, all of which will be hosted in North America because Pacific fans don't matter, apparently. In the spirit of VLR, both Masters must be called "Mickey Mouse Masters [insert city name]." Records of teams do not matter for qualification for any event; instead, teams will be invited to the tournament based on how many threads on VLR claim that that team would destroy all the other teams despite having a losing record. As such, only one Chinese team and one Pacific team total can be invited, while the Americas gets 8 slots.

cant vitality bbl and fnc all win and end with 4-2 records…?

posted 9 months ago

if madrid was filled with bad teams, then all the other “good” teams shoulda beat them in kickoff. yeah the form of some of these madrid teams has fallen off in split 1, but that doesn’t make madrid mickey mouse 😂 they just played better

I have seen the future, and I saw exactly how Champs this year will play out.

Qualifying Teams:

AMER: SEN, LEV, NRG, C9
EMEA: TH, NAVI, FUT, FNC
APAC: PRX, GEN G, DRX, ZETA
CN: EDG, DRG, FPX, TEC

These teams make it to playoffs:

SEN, LEV, FNC, FUT, TH, PRX, GEN G, DRX

7th-8th Place: FNC, DRX
5th-6th Place: FUT, LEV
4th Place: TH
3rd Place: GEN G
2nd Place: SEN
1st Place: PRX

They hated him because he told the truth.

yeah this was an odd choice, loud's icebox against gen g was very good, even if they lost; 100% expected edg to pick breeze first

posted 10 months ago

EDG isn't playing bad at all. Qck is on some actual aim drugs, he's unstoppable rn. Plus LOUD's utility (especially Cauanzin's) is looking so perfect. EDG's a good team that's just playing against the best form that LOUD's been in this year, any team would be getting destroyed here.

Man, what a game! I was already on the edge of my seat after xccurate's 7k clutch to end the half, but when T1 got the team ace and started defusing the spike, only for f0rsaken to suddenly appear as BLEED's 6th player and headshot his older brother to win the match, I was losing my mind. Especially when in the post-game interview, he said "When that light hits the sky, it's not just a call- it's a warning. To them. Fear is a tool. They think I'm hiding in the shadows. But I AM the shadows." Such a memorable match.
