plus Alliance Zik said VS were the most impressive
plus PlatChat have said that VS were scrim gods.
ratio+why cant i be happy for my region
DRX struggling to adapt in this new meta whereas ONS and WGS are looking so strong.
This DRX core was also hyped to be the best team in the world before Champions (scrimbux from EU teams), the same DRX core that 2-0'd Acend and went toe to toe against the current top 1/2 EMEA and NA teams (Fnatic and C9).
The same DRX core that got 2-0'd by ONS and almost getting 2-0'd by WGS!!
Let's go dude KR is a competitive region HOPIUM
WGS 2-0? PauseChamp
I've done the Jett to Yellow without updraft before no way it's an exploit. You just need good timing on when to jump. It's like jumping on the box towards dish/antenna on Fracture.
This guy was doing pretty badly Map 1 bruh no way he's a contender for best Jett. All we've seen are his lows and his peaks are nowhere close to the best Jetts in the region.
Importing Korean players has the best success rate. Xeta c9, Saya T1, CR with Munchkin, Northeption with Seoldam Astell, etc.
true. im just saying you cant say they did decently well.
They got rolled 13 3 and 13 2 after a 13-7 win...I love Bonkers but they were really out of their depth here.
PRX 2-0 Persija
That's just cap lol I remember watching APAC LCQ and chat was flooded with racist Indians. The racism against Indians is too much but they didn't exactly make it hard for others to flame them.
f0rsakeN is crazy dude, guy is legit. But he did end up losing to VS 2-0 when they went head to head, both on LAN and in scrims. I think he's mechanically the best in the APAC server for sure, but in Asia overall? Hard to decide. Bazzi is definitely not the best player in Asia though.
T1 and C9 Korea were tier 1 teams when they existed. C9K had Bazzi, BuZz, Hate, Munchkin, and Xeta. 4 out of those 5 players attended Champions as solid/star players on their respective teams.
True, you could argue F4Q was a better team. But TNL was the real other Tier 1 team that time. Tbh, aside from first strike (where T1 and C9K were tier 1) there were only two tier 1 teams at any point in time (VS, NU/VS, DKorF4Q/VS, TNL)
Wish we saw TNL at Masters Berlin :( if F4Q could take a map off SEN and G2 then TNL would have taken matches.
Nuturn in terms of performance and results was better than F4Q have ever been.
map 1 agreed but Icebox was a lot closer than the scoreline suggests.
You're downvoted but you're actually right. The region needs more support and outside of ONS, DK, and DRX the other teams are indeed T2.
The difference is that we have 3 tier 1 teams from the previous 2 last year (Nuturn and VS), we have a better format so the absolute top 2 teams attend Masters, and we have a new big org with good results to incentivise other big orgs to look into the scene.
The playerbase is growing. Slowly. But surely. A lot of good Korean talent has gone to Japan, but that doesn't mean Korean talent is never going to grow. LCK mids were poached by the LPL, but we still produce some of the best players in the world. As long as our scene is around, we can still churn out top tier players.
Did we watch the same game? It was pretty close. Even Gambit players said they were the most scared of VS in that tournament, with nAts saying VS were the hardest team they've scrimmed.
I made a thread on that too! They should really do that imo.
dont forget DRX rolled Acend and almost beat Gambit in Masters Berlin
Really love how there are 3 strong teams in Korea right now! We traded Nuturn for ONS and DK, that's a W.
Hopefully this level of competition only grows within the following months/years!
GGs DRX GGs ONS
XIA, remove Surf and add f0rsakeN, maybe Jinggg as sub.
Yeah lol. Heat is debatable sure but Seoldam's util usage and playstyle is pure Jett. Guy's probably the only tier 1 pro player who has a different playstyle of Jett for shotguns, OPs, rifles, and ults.
This guy does shit with the Judge and Shorty most, if not all, other pro players don't. And he does it on 40+ ping, even as high as 80 (he plays APAC from Japan to Singapore)
cNed isn't actually the best Jett - he's just so insanely good at what makes Jett meta: OPing and ulting. The rest he's on par with other tier 1 Jetts.
In terms of just pure Jett util usage + being able to mechanically back up the usage with kills:
Seoldam
Derke
Heat
DRX was one Stax clutch away from 2-0ing FNC and making playoffs.
Seoldam
d3ffo
TenZ

cant stomach japan after cr vs dgw..
(oh shit they were asking top 10 teams - this list was just for teams that impressed me this year)
you clearly didnt watch their game in Masters 3.
Sorry, meant Champs. Only three went to Masters (Munchkin, Bazzi, and BuZz)
True - but both orgs have a big influence over Korean gaming. It's possible they would attract more interest into Val, especially because the scene is slowly growing here.
If Nuturn and F4Q could beat DRX there's a good argument that a real tier 1 org like T1 or Gen.G could. C9 Korea were on their way to doing it.
They have always had the best mechanical players for Overwatch, have some of the best Apex Legends players (Ras & Selly), won the first PUBG world cup, and in 1.6 their teams were pretty good - especially so considering they had 0 scrim partners and Tac FPS infrastructure.
Fun fact: Solo, Peri, Glow, and ARGENCY were all CS 1.6 players who did pretty damn well considering their geographical, technical, and financial limitations.
DRX have won almost every scrim vs SEA teams to the point where PRX Benkai has said their VCT games were easier after they fought and learned from DRX.
There are plenty of orgs willing to sign the players on their rosters and T1 and Gen. G haven't had much success - even regional success. If they move back to Korea they'll have a better chance of regional success and international competitions - this would also help catalyse growth and interest in the Korean valorant scene and maybe influence players into playing for domestic teams instead of moving to other regions (NA and especially JP).
