I remember someone had Rocket league stats on each region and their mmr distributions and I remember OCEs and Japans percentile being the lowest for the high ranks and both these regions also have the lowest playerbases.

Basically, less players equals less inflation, so the distribution stays tighter and higher ranks are less populated. (this is also true for ranks like iron).

You can notice this in each regions ranked ladder,

So far in stage 1 he went +4 against LEV and against G2 he went +8. He is still doing very well and it's only been 2 games so far after kickoff.

These stats are by no means bad and seem to be equally as good as last year. e.g last year in kickoff he also placed 2nd and had a slightly lower rating compared to this years.

I agree that a lot of people on this site do not respect trans peoples autonomy which is shown by arguments that are framed as neutral but are ultimately trying to undermine flors identity and her trans experience. However a lot of these posts are genuine criticisms which are in good faith and shouldn't be diminished because of a few posts are in bad faith.

These posts aren't transphobic in their nature but I can easily see how they can dissolve into a transphobic post.

All in all, I agree that a lot of the arguments are ppl arguing in bad faith but these should just be ignored and some of these people disagree with trans identity but are arguing in a respectful manner. I would argue that transphobia isn't just disagreeing with ones identity claim but doing so in a disrespectful and having negative attitudes towards them.

I can understand some people thinking the storyline was good but a lot of the rounds u just kept hearing people screaming at the top of their lungs which was very annoying and there was minimal hype in the crowds compared to other regions (sort of an asia crowd thing tbh). Like there was legit only 1 time where the crowd was chanting something and it lasted less than 10 seconds.

this isnt my main disagreement with you tho, I just don't see how u thought the quality of skill was good, like it seems obvious it was gonna be low this event bc of the new meta change 2 weeks before vct started but most teams apart from t1 seemed to be playing without a purpose. Like I saw very little anti strating (apart from t1 and some occasional g2 plays). Most rounds teams had no plan apart from just seeing how the round plays out and adapting from there. G2 were the only team that knew how to combo util with tejo as well.

Overall it just felt like a repeat of Madrid.

Madrid (Either tenz gets a second trophy and sacy is first to win a masters and a champs trophy, very mid storyline) or Pacific gets their first trophy (Big storyline).

Shanghai you had Pacifics first trophy again and TH storyline was a sub winning an international and th are a new team with little expectations.

Champs you had Chinas first trophy and TH here didnt really have one tbh.

2025 storylines:
Bangkok:
Stax and buzz duo finally getting a trophy after getting 5-6th so many times and Ascension team winning an int.

Only other storyline I can think of is I guess edg getting back to back trophies and being first team to win a champs and a masters and sen might be 3 trophies but these arent real big storylines.

Ultimately, champs 2024 alone had more storylines than this event and its the quality of the storylines that matter not the quantity.

Next year when we look back at this event it will be mostly forgotten just like Madrid which was deemed as the best event in valorant history back in early 2024.
