50% of people still thought heretics were better coming into this eevent lol
a popular site in 2018 used to have live viewership and decided to adopt a heat system instead so I doubt it has to do with chinese law.
It seems like the chinese sites use this popularity index or heat system so they can manipulate the numbers and inflate certain statistics.
But heat system is also pretty good for avoiding fake numbers as sometimes there are lots of bots but heat system is based off live viewership + stream donations and chatting and other activities that show "engagement".

thats the "activity score" I dont really know how it works or what a value like 90k means but its not the actual live viewership (look it up on google if u dont believe me)
"the numnber" what number are you talking about, I'm talking about likes since its the closest we can see to real viewers since bilibili and other CN platforms dont release their viewership numbers.
They don't release the viewership numbers unless a company asks for it, riot only knows because they got ties with tencent and asked the chinese streaming services for the numbers, to my knowledge Valve haven't asked bilibili or other chinese platforms what their viewership numbers were.

above is the offical cs2 stream (there isn't any other channel which streams the cs2 games) with a game happening right now and u can see the run time is 206 hours and yet the stream only has 27k likes whereas the valorant stream stops and starts and 1 hour into the wolves vs blg game it already had 220k likes.

The stream has been ongoing though and so it would count the likes from the hours which the matches are held as explained before
they were def trying but it seems they have made massive improvements in the past month since CN playoffs finished. BLG were def the better team when they faced
This just isnt true, I'm looking at current likes in bilibili for the valorant stream and its at 220k already and the cs stream is at 22k and thats been going on for days on end of non stop streaming (for the official cs and val page on bilibili)
All im doing is tryna to argue against a stupid argument from s-unny, obviously every region should count towards the viewership and my point is that if we are going to include viewership from China in the total viewership of CS then we can do the same for Val and if we do this then Val is easily the more watched esport out of the 2

Like his list seems to be based off purely just stats as the best performer in terms of stats is #1 for each event he points out which naturally is often on the winning team but this is taking stats too literal and having the best stats for 1 event doesn't meaning you are the best itw. If we are only looking at stats then deciding who the best itw is should be based more on present stats and past ones instead of only present ones otherwise you might have people like OXY being the best itw for a certain week or month for instance.
I love how for each tournament a player from the winning team is considered the best itw at that point in time which may be true for some tournaments but is just absurd for the majority of them.
Just because a team wins doesn't mean that a player from that team is necessarily the best itw. Your list for the best for each international tournament is just straight wrong and exposes ur biases
