I'm not a Sen fan lol, the only objective reality is that Sentinels won the first international LAN event.
my guy, it's still the first international Val LAN and Sentinels played it great (they got complacent and fell off from meta).
LoL >>>>>>>>> CSGO in viewership. Faker is the s1mple of League and has been the goat for a much longer time.
LMAO I would like to same thing. TSM v Sen was best rivalry anyways for me lol.
You forgot about the Mickey Mouse tournaments TSM won before Wardell got dropped.
It's hard to say which team fell off worse since Sentinels didn't fall off nearly as bad until these last few months of challengers. Even towards the end of 2021, they were still a solid team in NA (worst lowball you could give them was top 3). Though, you could also make the argument that Sentinels only got so far in 2021 beacuse of their early successes paving them a solid path for the near future.
Meanwhile, TSM was strong in 2020 but they were shaky at times (still contested as a no.1 team in NA at the time). But because 2020 results didn't necessarily secure any placements for 2021 like Sentinels had with points in Iceland, TSM fell off quickly and could not stabilize at all. Their downturn lasted far longer, so it's generally safer to say that TSM fell off worse.
You wrote 1276 words...that's more than the average high school essay bruh.
Zero stars are typically trolls but also more well known users.
Not really. Other than the pool scene, it's not that far off from the LN.
I can understand that. I was just saying that TSM had similar (although smaller) hurdles to overcome. I wouldn't doubt that 100T will improve within the week to qualify either way.
The inclusion of gMd and Seven occurred roughly at the same time of 100t's restructuring.
I mean, yeah teams get better. Teams like NRG, Faze, and TSM improved immensely. V1 didn't get that much worse either with a sub (Though, you could argue that this was the case because of the raw talent they had) and in fact did really well.
Wardell was not really the problem.
Faze barely beat TSM so I can hardly count Faze > TSM as opposed to Faze >= TSM.
NRG is untested, but I think they would be better than TSM and Faze atm.
There was a point in time where Shahzam said that they didn't need a coach(?) I think. Or rather, they didn't need all the staff prep and management that 100t had because it gave him more freedom to conduct the team's practice and shit. I recall this from an interview last year.
So if people are accusing them of lacking a coach, they might be referring to that.
I mean, the game might have been cut down way shorter if Wardell didn't save v1...
Or...teams got better? V1's 5-0 run was shut down on the actual main stage.
Same argument applies for TSM tho.
I think the biggest change is gMd as opposed to Seven. I think that Wardell is still an upgrade over Seven just because of his experience. But either way, I'm happy that Seven is thriving as a young fragger and that TSM is winning.
Honestly, Wardell could probably fill Seven's shoes just as well. TSM was undefeated before the dropped wardell anyways (during the mickey mouse saga).
Though, still super happy with Seven's rise on TSM and the TSM win overall.
Yes they are back. Though, I would have preferred Wardell over Seven, but I'll take whatever is here.
I'm not as big of a fan either since Wardell is gone, but I still support them. Seeing them win rn (99% likely) is really nice.
I mean, didn't TSM lose like 13-3 last time on split against 100t? Split was never a strong map for them.
I mean, they were kinda on the rise for the past couple months (right after stage 1 and into mickey mouse tourneys)
Probably not. Outside of the top 5, TSM, 100T, Faze, LG, Knights, and NRG are above them.
idc, I just want TSM to give either team a good ol' slap in the face with a TSM win
He basically invented all the strategies back then and pioneered how important Sova was in the game. He could perfectly play duelists like Raze and more support based characters like Sova. Literally, he was good at everything and basically the best flex of his time. 10/10
Steel to Sen would start up world war III at the Sen house.
It isn't about Bang v JcStani because they should have both been kept. Bang had good numbers and he is still a solid player.
And he's a fill. People overreact too quickly because...its valorant lmao.
I mean, look at how he's doing on icebox so far rn. He's saving them rounds.
Which game? It wasn't in yesterdays game against COM.
Wardell did fine on Chamber and had high impact yesterday. Considering he's a stand-in, he's doing pretty good. His sage was a bit rough compared to what people might have hoped.
Or perhaps Valorant has so much unexplored strategies that make it hard to counter every single one of them?
Valorant has too many variables to account for which is why it is so interesting.
Idk about t1, but I wouldn't doubt if she could play T2 at a competitive level. There are so much talent out there right now that it's really hard to take that post seriously, especially since it comes from the two players that trialed her.
I'm not trying to doubt her ability, but Valorant just has too many players in the scene for statements like that to be made. A lot of the players on the Guard I haven't even heard of and they randomly popped up one day onto a single team and smashed their way through the qualifier. Becuase of this randomness and massive influx of talent, I just can't take those statements fully to heart.
This roster, imo, was never shaping up to be a team that would win relatively quickly. It's full of "newer" talent that definitely needed time to adjust.
And while I can understand the philosophy of developing a strong team over time, this is really the LAST chance for 100t to realistically go international for the year, so going with the slow and steady approach seems to be the wrong move if you're trying to win.
Doesn't this kinda make him even less of a sentinel?
I can respect that
I'm a wardell fan at heart, but I didn't want to take out the TSM flair so I just left it as is.
no no, I'm a tsm fan, I can't ever say anything right!
I hope faze gives Sentinels a run for their money honestly but yeah lmaooo.
My problem with this is that BabyBay had insane stats last time but got shut down the second they went against a pseudo tier-1 team (TSM).
Its kinda sad but that's just the reality of people on these sites lmao.
