For once. There is nothing wrong with the groups. Every group has 1 team from each region. Yes EMEA got kinda lucky with getting china for their first matches, but they will have to have 1 match from another region, and someone else is gonna have to face china at least once as well.
You know the site has lost its mind when he looks like the reasonable one.
Aspas vs Primmie
The present vs the future
The Experienced and Legendary Master Shifu imprisons (groups) the Youthful and Talented Tai Lung
Brady vs Mahomes 2018 AFC Championship
I will be there no matter what.
NEW RIVALRY?????
Why do I have a feeling...
Fixes:
Sentinel - Less is by himself(chamber isn't a sentinel). He gapped Alfa 3-0, and they were BIG gaps. By the end of August it might be Meteor
IGL - Currently Saadhak. When Saadhak had a superteam built for him, he went through Optic to become a world champion. When Boaster had a superteam built him, it was Saadhak stopped him from being a world champion. He's also just straight up the better player. By the end of August it might be Munchkin.
Op - Aspas for all-time, yay for prime. HM to Nivera (he was nice, rewatch those vods)
Raze Mechanics: First of all, get off the drugs. Jawgemo or Jingg (nukkye still living off of one clip to this day huh?)
Additions:
Classic - Unironically Zellsis
Shorty - Something, HM to twisten <3
Flash Init - Ethan
Post-round Scream - Yetujey
Missing Raze Ults/Ults - You know exactly who
If Biank was put under hypnosis to believe he was playing NRG it would be possible

This is a bad time to make this thread C0m is topfragging rn
He was best player of champs 21 though
Still just as wrong as the first time you said it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyways, you can't be the GOAT if you've never been better than your teammates.
End of Discussion
you said he was the best player at champs 2021 and he just wasn't lol. Now you're changing the subject talking about berlin and shit.
Here it is again incase you forgot
and best player at champs 2021
i didn't see any evidence. Let me go look for some
https://www.vlr.gg/event/stats/449/valorant-champions-2021
Damn apparently Crashies was also the best player at Champs 21
best player at champs 2021
Bro is literally just making shit up
Arguably best player on gambit
No he wasn't. People who say he was carried are wrong, but it was obviously nats' team.
Also to be the best of all time doesnt mean you have to be the best at any time
Actually... In any GOAT debate you had to be at least the best of your own era. Literally true for every sport/esport. If lebron wasn't the best player during the 2010s, he would immediately be disqualified from the goat debate. So yeah, you do have the be the best player in the world for at least some period of time.
Besides that, if we go by your own definition:
up there with the greatest for a ridiculous amount of time
Then Aspas and Less have, on an individual basis, been the best or MINIMUM second best in their role for their entire career.
If we just look at Aspas, the only people who were ever considered individually better than him on duelist were : Prime Yay, Prime EG Demon1. Thats the entire list.
How chronicle can be considered the greatest player of ALL TIME while never once being the best AT ANY TIME, or ever being the best on any of his teams boggles my mind.
Chronicle was definitely not carried, but it was Nats' team
Most Overrated Team: FNC (they better come up with something better than "alfajer your aim is good so you go iso")
Most Underrated Team: DRX (they have enough to win it all)
An Unexpected Top 4 Contender: EDG (they look pretty strong)
MVP of The Tournament: Aspas (his firepower is so crucial for Lev)
Match up you want the most: TLN vs FUT
Strongest Region At the Event: APAC
Team that will massively underperform: VIT, KRU
Winner: DRX (Hopium)
Update 8/7/24 : Looking good, might not get talon vs fut tho
Update 8/11/24 (end of groups) : RIP TLN vs FUT, also Apac only one team so I was wrong about the strongest region, otherwise im mostly right so far
Imma go with sayaplayer. He has so much obvious talent but the only team that utilized him properly was the guard. A real shame
'Possibly' lmfao Meteor lit up the world at Shanghai and went to 2 straight finals. Nats won 1 intl match in 3 years (group stage vs EDG). Nats fanboys are something else

Delusion Cured
an international trophy is an international trophy
Red bull != Masters Shanghai, Ten Global Invitational != Masters Shanghai, AfreecaTV != Masters Shanghai
We count Masters and Champions events, with Champions being worth more than Masters for obvious reasons.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The reason we do this is because those are the Major Events in Valorant, having both a qualification system and competition format designed to select for the best team.
Guess what Lock-In didn't have?
A Qualification system - every franchise team was invited
A Competition System designed to select for best team - They had single Elim instead
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you know why they made these decisions? Because the purpose of Lock-In was to introduce and show off the teams in the new franchising system. A real format with a focus on competitive integrity would make the tourney last months - because they invited every team - which you wouldn't do unless your focus was just to show off the teams.
From the official valorant esports page, emphasis mine
https://valorantesports.com/en-US/news/vct-lock-in-everything-you-need-to-know
We wanted to kick off the next era of the VALORANT Champions Tour with an epic tournament that brought together the entire VALORANT community. With LOCK//IN our goal is to lay storytelling groundwork for the 2023 season while thrilling fans with high stakes competition. To build the largest tournament in the history of our sport, we had to consider different formats that could accommodate the largest number of teams we've ever had at a single event. After reviewing many options, it became clear that to be as globally inclusive as we wanted, a single elimination format was the direction we needed to take. While we think this is the best way to kick off the 2023 season, we plan to return to a double elimination format for future international events.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They both have 2 Masters.
In the history of franchising it has to be the first iteration of Karmine Corp. Newzera literally looked like he was Imm2
lol they're downvoting but you're right, literally every franchise team was invited. It's not like they 'made it' to Lock In.
Any map pool with fracture
replace heretics with VIT (beat them twice recently, very decisively in bo5) and Paper Rex with G2
LMAO
If riot had a tourney where you don't select an agent its just randomly generated what comp you play, it would be hardest by far.
But would you be flexing it as more prestigious than a real one like a masters or champs?
Looking forward to hearing the answer!
Why is TH higher than VIT? They recently beat them 2 matches bo3 and very decisively in bo5
Name a team in the world that was better than SEN at the time of that 'fluke'
Actual Fix
Davai - Sova (this will take the most work since there's alot that goes into sova ascent)
Something - Jett (perfect match)
Forsaken - Kayo (perfect match)
Mindfreak - Omen (perfect match)
Jingg - KJ (see below)
KJ is literally one of the easiest agents to learn theres a reason all of the edaters put the egirl who's bad at the game on KJ or Sage. There's only like 2 setups you do for each site and a few molly lineups for execs which are all well known. Embarassing a professional player cannot learn KJ.
I see where you're coming from but I actually think that's what makes the map so great. Like I said, Ascent is the map where the team that is better at valorant will win every time. Not being able to solo-carry and bail out a team that is lost sucks when your team is clueless (same is true for every map to be fair), but conversely, it rewards the team that is playing better Valorant, which is a team game at its core.
Also, Ascent is by far the best Sova map in the game, if ever you could solo carry on init, its on Ascent and especially on Defense (learn your cross-map support darts and tell your team to play in the door smokes).
Ascent is no 1. If you dislike it it's likely because you're bad. It's the only map where the team that is better at Valorant will win every time (in ranked, pro play is diff obv)
Top 3 is
Lotus is dogshit, belongs bottom 3
hey man, liquid flairs are the only true loyal fans in the world. There is literally no other reason to root for them other than org loyalty. Respect.
The only good maps are Ascent and Haven. The rest all have major problems
bro got TLN as the winners but the most underrated as KRU
something don't add up here
winner: DRX (Hopium)
Most Overrated Team: FNC
Most Underrated Team : DRX or FPX
Most Overrated Player: Sayf
Most Underrated Player : Buzz
Team that is gonna choke and flop in groups: KRU (its a tradition) or FUT
MVP of Event : Meteor
Player that pops off on ass team : Aspas or Primmie
Update 8/7/24 : Looking good so far
Update 8/11/24 (end of groups): got most of it right so far, rip GEN.G Meteor MVP tho
Update 6/24/24 (top 2) : Overall I did pretty good i'd say
Mako, Sayf, Jingg, Forsaken, Buzz, Something, Scream, S0m, Cryo, Davai

But I think the spirit of the question means international titles, ie: masters and champs events
judge is perfect where it is but stinger is a little too good mid rang
why not, it literally would not require anything of them
