No I agree, I dont think boostio and FNS call similarly, I just think at their peak, they did heavily rely on heavy fire power, like demon1 and boostio vs NRG on split where you get the crazy demon1 clip. They only win that 2v4 because of demon1, anyone else and it would have been traded immediately.

Its all about players taking fighting in ways where they can guarantee a win, c0m was never mechanically equal to Less, but he took fights in ways that favored him. Right now, I dont see the 100t players trying to make fights easier for them, instead of going for raw aim duels, and yea that worked during their run because their form was great but unless you are really consistent, it is not a favorable way of playing.

Looking back, that EG was genuinely really good, demon1 as a flex with that aim is ridiculous, jawgemo's consistency and boostio actually being a great gunner himself, ethan also being a good flex with good aim and then c0m being smart with his fights and not exactly bad mechanically. I always thought that FNS with optic's peak did play a similar style, naturally FNS focused on out calling, but in tough situations, yay or marved or victor would consistently be relied on to get 2ks or 3ks in bad spots, and they always did.

I dont think its that boostio is exactly a bad igl, but he definitely relies on his players out gunning often, and he is not finding them with 100t

okay listen, if sen goes through to playoffs and nabs a spot in champs based on top 3 placements, then 100t dont need to compete with sen. Lets say 100t make it to 4th, theyre guaranteed champs because assuming theyve reached top 4 without losing anymore games, they would have had more points than every than sen (assuming they also won every game), but since sen qualified on position, 100t will get in instead. in kick off, winning was 3 points (+3 for sen) and then madrid win was also 3 points (+3 for sen) and then games in split 1 were also for points and since sen won 3 games (+3 for sen) and then sen won like 2 days ago so (+1 point for sen); this is how sen got to 10 points. 100t got up to 9 points by just winning 4/5 games (4 points), 2 playoff wins (+2) and then winning finals (+3); so 9 points for 100t.

100T's group plays 5 games, whereas sen's only 4. So 100T can have more points if they make a deeper run.

You get points for every win in 2nd split and 3 for the finals. I dont think playoffs give any points I dont remember, but maybe they do so too.

But basically, since AMER doesnt have a dominant leader 10 for sen and 9 for 100t, teams can catch up and gain more Total points, granting them qualification per Champs point bases.

EDG qualified because no other team can get as many points so even if they throw every game, its fine. TH are not guaranteed champs, theyre guaranteed playoffs for split 2 if anything (I think).

Also because playoffs is done through seedings, china still has to go through with this format.

Reach, a massive difference in the choke against EG and NRG is that sen refused to adapt vs EG, but against NRG, they tried Tenz op, 4 stacking a and retaking b, having zekken on judge, early aggro off a to get a pick, but none of it worked because the chokepoints on a can be dominated by 1 neon stun and that either leads to tenz/zek dying or them being pushed off and then leaving sen to retake.

Sen also got a retake on b but just didnt have enough time. FNS and Vic carried NRG on attack sunset, Sen just needs to take what they learnt from that game and understand how to better counter something like that.

In my eyes, playing retake on a, or switching cypher util would have worked, but sens read may have been different.
