1) the Koreans learned Japanese
2) English speaking roster
3) the Koreans are good enough to warrant minimal communication (sort of like vookashu not knowing any Chinese and still being on a Chinese team)

Doesn’t need to igl if there’s just 5 of the same person. They already know what the other is thinking. They’d just manifest the strat they want to do in their head, no call necessary.
tw: yap alert
yeah, but forsaken is a chronic over heater on movement duelists, even more than jinggg. I think, at most, put him on yoru since he can't overheat as much (and if he does, he has more util that will help immediately at that moment). With what you had there, I would run:
Ascent Idea: First, forsaken has a good kayo and yoru. M80 showed that yoru on ascent is viable and very much playable; however, the lack of movement duelist can be concerning. Additionally, operator is broken, so an opping agent is somewhat necessary in my opinion.
forsaken - yoru/kayo
jinggg - jett
something - fade/sova
davai - kj
mindfreak - omen
Haven: Info senti is absolutely necessary on 3 site maps, but viper is also very good, or at least it was. I think teams are still unsure about viper haven, but I have some faith still.
Jinggg - neon
forsaken - kj/cypher
something - fade/sova
davai - viper
mindfreak - omen/astra
No changes to the bind comp, and my one change would be switch forsaken's and something's role on pearl. Something else to note is that this would essentially make davai a full time senti/viper instead of whatever he was playing this year. Roles are a lot more defined and would make it so that they won't have whiplash from one map to another from the 120941728947 role switch. However, I am somewhat of a chamber believer atm, so I wouldn't be shocked if chamber gets implemented into their comps, probably for forsaken to play. PRX is allergic to true sentinels anyway and chamber does cover what he needs to cover tbh
imo, I think forsaken should stay off duelist imo because his value on other agents is so high imo. Lowkey, they could just run jinggg full time duelist and have forsaken be their senti main. (CHAMBER TIME) Then, they have something go jett on the maps where they wanna run double duelist (kinda like what ascension bleed ran with juicy and deryeon). Jinggg has a good enough jett to play on solo jett maps tbh
A lot of them are just repping their heritage like cloudberry said, but you are right I think. I vaguely remember flor making an lft post saying that she can go anywhere since gc players don't count for import
then what does freeing play? Freeing has legit only played sentinels + clove
There's a problem with freeing: who tf plays sentinel?
I hit 4 stars recently too! Welcome to the 4 star club :)
They're referencing the brain. The brain uses neurons, which sends electrochemical impulses in order to formulate this thing called "thoughts" as well as this thing called "memories."
I agree that they probably will just pick up another indo, but maple definitely deserves a t1 spot imo
tbf he does lose the h2h against sym, but yeah he looked really good. I'm surprised he flew under my radar that much tbh
He was trialing for EG, maybe they reached an agreement?
edit: He's going against sym and icy in the duelist department, so he must've fried if he got signed. Yay is probably settling for a sentinel role
I could see a world where dfm flukes their way to finals after meiy drops nuke after nuke after nuke
Rossy igled for ttr, so he's going to do it again
tbf frost told them to troll vs PRX and DRX, and he proceeded to get team diffed vs lev (WHO DECIDED BAN SHOULD PLAY DUELIST). They just got fked against Vit. For context:
Against Vit, his team averaged 0.71 kd, while he got a 1.16 kd across both maps
Against lev, it gets even worse with his team averaging 0.82 kd while he got a 1.48 kd. On ascent, his team averaged 0.58 kd, while he got 1.69 kd ON SAGE.
Against DRX on abyss, THREE people on his team went TRIPLE negative.
Talk about unwinnable im ngl.
easy solution is to let freeing go to GENG instead of DRX. DRX suffered from role issues this year, surely they don't do it again
They’re still a regional threat, and alecks is no longer getting no-teamed as a coach so it’s looking up.
There’s also the fact that being the ‘best’ means being seen as a threat. This leads to getting antistrat a LOT more. Furthermore, because you keep making deep runs, there is a lot more footage of your playbook.
Talon wins master bangkok after dropping ban.
Sorry, my sense of time is fked. Besides, he mentioned that he was studying Japanese 1 year ago, not that he started studying it a year ago, so it would make logical sense that he had been studying before that point in time. Additionally, he paid for a tutor, so I would hope that he didn't just throw the money in the bin.
tbf this is my personal preference and my ideal world, so I know it isn't going to happen :(. I think leviathan could be good seeing how he was frying on duelist when he played those like 4 games which means he has good aim, but his flexibility is probably a coinflip and imo DRX really need flexibility. Also, signing freeing is lowkey troll because they already have flashback. They're replacing foxy9 (a sentinel player) with freeing (a sentinel player).
I meant during the 2023 season for Dep. I still vividly remember his ace against FNC on KJ, so I have faith in him. Additionally, while the grammar is similar, the vocabulary + the particles are immensely different, so it still takes a while to learn Japanese anyway. Additionally, aspas has been learning Japanese for like 2 years now. Even if it is harder for him to learn Japanese compared to the Koreans in the scene, he still has a lot of experience in the language. Frankly, if he's been learning for 2 years and he COULDN'T com, I think he might as well give up.
I meant to have a /, as in DRX picks up one of them. Shoulda made it more clear mb
Dep showed that his sentinel was pretty good last last season, so he can play that while aspas plays duelist. Aspas is learning Japanese, so I assume that he speaks it at a proficient enough level to comm, especially since he probably is on the level of a lot of the Koreans in the JP scene anyway.
The Australian. He had a good showing in China (pretty much carrying his team) and he plays flex, often flexing into llmemore's roles, so it would be a good replacement. Best of all, he doesn't count as an import since Australia counts as PAC AND he speaks English fluently already.
This looks great. Keep up the good work!
he was igling on turtle troop and he led the team to like 4th overall as a fa team so
+xccurate, igl + sentinel = cook??? (they could -something or - jinggg and put the other on full time duelist)
it looks like you need a duo. soloq is not healthy (or at least that's what I heard)
btw, you should edit the main post and add the new things imo.
Personally:
DFM: +yatsuka/seoldam +caedye +joxjo +aace -ssess
DRX: +hyumin +yoman/munchkin
GENG: +freeing/gwangboong +lakia
GE: +YesICan +f1cio +(grumble or sultan/dos9) +kristal +sayaplayer
RRQ: +Maple
T1: +Meteor +Buzz
Talon: +sScary +PTC
Zeta: I would love +aspas or +akame tbh, +CLZ +Syouta
Boom: +xccurate
Every other roster is either good enough or probably not gonna change.
One of the reasons is that another team might have given him an offer. How am I supposed to know?
Didn't buzz choose to leave or am i going insane
I mean, ZETA has room for a cracked duelist player and Carlao is Brazilian. Also, I'm not sure what Chinese team aspas would end up on, since I think most rosters have either a cracked duelist, an arguably better import (in terms of flexibility), or are too broke
Imagine a world where he goes to ZETA. He would single handedly pull Japan out of the depths.
Bro went from playing in the second worst T2 NA team to landing the bag in sentinels.
As funny as it could be, I'm not a phoenix believer on this map (unless the upcoming buffs are crazy af). Personally, I expect:
raze/neon - zekken
bang - brim
viper - johnqt (however, if they end up running a neon, I could see a world where they run cypher over viper)
fade - n4rrate
gekko - zellsis
Alternatively, they could forgo the gekko, put zellsis on viper, and have johnqt on cypher.
I remember runi cooking a while back, so it is sad to see him go (for good this time I think). Hope these two find new opportunities in life o7
keiko is like a coin flip: he's either good or at the bottom. So it's more like a 2.5 v 5 !!!
bro, we're valorant players. We can't read or use critical thinking.
Damn, I knew that the conflict would be with flashback but I think I was just sleep deprived
Xccurate was lowkey carrying his team on sentinel. The problem is grumble doesn’t igl. Most sentinel players in APAC haven’t igled afaik, so xccurate is a good middle option.
Why is this downvoted? This is genuinely a decent roster change if it does come to fruition. PRX problems include no igl and no dedicated sentinel player. Xccurate would cover both these issues.
It is because the roles are lowkey messed up. Foxy9 is good on sentinel and maybe duelist, but there is flashback and hyunmin. Beyn looked good on smokes/flex, but he was getting forced onto recon initiator, which he looked terrible on. However, signing freeing is a meh play since there will be another role incompatibility between him and mako. Jeez DRX does not learn from their mistakes
I think boaster just really needed a break to break out of his slump. His aim was good enough in 2023. Pressure def got to him this year.
I'm so iffy on JessieVash. istg his aim is so bad, but he is in the upper echelon of kills every time somehow
Miniboo was arguably one of the best duelists during split 1 and madrid imo. (not the best, but he was up there) During split 2 and champs, he was definitely struggling with pressure and expectations and whatnot (probably because people were constantly calling for his head), but then he locked in for the latter half of champs and lowkey carried his team to the second-place spot.
Wait, what’s the problem with attending third party cs tournaments? Isn’t that just like attending off season events or am I crazy?
Unfortunately, yeah, which is weird because isn't he from the siberia/border with mongolia area?
