Yeah he looks like Wo0t material. EMEA has some ridiculous Flex Talent
I don’t know about sayonara or zeddy but isn’t it kinda insane to rate b1sk over MxS Mada, APK Kaajak, and SUP Izzy?
I just realized they’re eligible for Play-ins offf circuit points. Wouldn’t that make them heavy underdogs?? Also, Kiles is a bit of a fraud no?
I haven’t been able to follow all of the VCLs but I’m aware of OXG, APK, and I’ve heard Türkiye has some notable talent. Who are the favorites for Ascension in their respective regions? And who are players that should definitely be picked up in T1 if they don’t win?
Looks like EMEA teams get a free first win in groups while Pacific and Americas have to duke it out.
I’m a G2 fan but I don’t like frauds. Shave please.
It’s really close. G2 have the better macro but they’re not matching Lev’s firepower so they aren’t consistently converting advantages.
Be caught baiting his teammates and stat padding.
They’re inconsistent.
If they had G2’s micro-teamplay and Valyn level mid rounding, they’d win Champs easily. Part of it is a lack of trust in their teammates so they over-value their lives (Aspas Stat Padder Allegations) and part of it is a weaker understanding for some maps.
Trexx and Primmie seem high to me but it’s good otherwise. Wish you included Tex though.
All of you Sen haters are welcome to change your flairs to G2 now that we’re NA’s last hope. Except for Dort — you’re weird.
I’ll see you LATAM brothers in the GF after you crush Boostio in the LF.
You really didn’t cook.
These are the only players in contention.
EMEA Grouped Scenario Prayge:
Nah, G2 vs. LEV is going to be 40 second defaults before explosive executes and fakes followed by a fast sequence of trades before leading to multiple clutches in the post plant.
Should be a banger.
Curious why DRX is higher than PRX and why 100T is below Sen.
There’s no single right answer right now for the 5th slot.
If GenG win champs then it will be T3xture and if Sen win then it’ll be Zekken. If both bomb out, we’ll have to wait until next year to see if Jawgemo can make another international.
He’s definitely import worthy but I don’t rate him over Aspas or Jawgemo. He’s a better Jett/Neon over Zekken though.
Easy to look good when you’re farming your own mid region.
Wow you’re really bad at rating players.
Aspas >> Derke
c0m < Chronicle
Tex = Hiro/Alfa (Sentinel)
Kingg >>> Boaster (Smokes)
Mazino = Alfajer (Flex)
Kingg < Boaster (IGL)
Tex has been looking like a “Less” level sentinel and c0m is back in Champs form. LEV’s weakest fragger is c0m and the quality of his utility easily compensates.
In contrast, Boaster hasn’t gone positive since Split 1 against M8 and Derke is very hot and cold depending on the match. There are going to be maps that LEV would win just based on sheer aim duels.
I agree with everything except that FUT is probably stronger than Talon. G2 and LEV are very close and should punch up into the same tier as GenG. I think FNC has potential too but I can see the other EMEA teams getting picked apart: TH because of weak mental and VIT because of inconsistent form.
It never fell off. People just got smart and banned it until it fell out of the map pool.
Weird calling him top 3 itw in the same conversation as Aspas, T3xture, Jawgemo, Jingg, and Zekken. He’s definitely in form right now but he has no international trophies or long term consistency. He’s top 3 in EMEA at best alongside Derke and cNed and he’s not third.
Not sure what this is supposed to insinuate. Appreciating that the core stayed together despite going into T2 after receiving numerous T1 offers, winning Ascension, and then being screwed by their org at the finish line doesn’t make me a communist. All of them deserve their flowers (I haven’t forgotten about neT and I’m hoping EG pick him up).
G2 winning Champs would be the best story line we’ve had since the Optic/Loud rivalry.
Let’s gooooooo. Everyone on G2 is going to hit their peak at Champs, I believe it.
Because I write in full sentences and use punctuation? That’s curious.
I doubted G2 when they dropped neT. I doubted Leaf’s role switch to sentinel. I doubted Icy, even after they got third at Shanghai. I’m guilty of daydreaming about replacing Icy with Jawgemo or Oxy, insisting that a better duelist would be enough to get them a trophy. I was wrong.
TGRD was always about brotherhood and being stronger through synergy and shared struggle. From the top of NA in 2022 to the bottom in 2023 and back to where they belong now — they’ve earned it their way.
From this day forward, I will never doubt my glorious king. Icy will diff Aspas tomorrow like he did with Zekken and bring us into the Top 2 and again in the Grand Finals. I won’t be able to travel to Seoul but I’ll scream loud enough for my boys hear across the globe when they lift that trophy.
You’re allowed to doubt and underrate all you want but I’m done. If G2 has 1000 fans then I will be one of them, and if they have 10 fans then I will be one of them, and if they have 1 fan then it will be me. I will be switching from my beloved Sen Classic from Madrid to a G2 one after I post this. You’re welcome to join me.
Genuinely concerned for your mental health dude. Get off the forum a bit and touch grass.
TH were incredibly hot in Shanghai but they’ve seriously underperformed relative to the hype in Split 2.
LEV and G2 look incredibly dominant against revitalized teams in their region and only look improved since Shanghai. LEV fixed their postplant positions and spacing while G2 has overcome their slow starts.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s GenG, LEV, G2 in top 3 in no particular order. I worry that both TH and FNC will be very hot and cold between maps and the midrounding simply seems weaker.
I wouldn’t add a gun but I would add a suicide vest as a secondary for 500 creds that you can activate on a 3 second timer before obliterating everything in a 3m radius and damaging for 100 at 5m. I imagine it would be incredible for entry duelists and for thrifties.
While s0m might have more experience on Omen and Harbor, I’m confident that Demon1 has the higher ceiling given enough time to adapt. I see him adopting Tenz’s Omen while still shredding on his signature Brimstone and Astra. The Harbor might be a bit awkward to pick up but I’m sure he’d be able to with a full offseason.
You could argue to keep s0m as a flex but he’s not a measurably better Duelist or Recon Initiator than the two players I suggested. Ethan covers Flashes and FNS plays Sentinel. It’s a direct choice between Demon1 and s0m and I’m taking the Champions 2023 MVP — especially since the team needs raw firepower with FNS on the roster.
I don’t know how but I predicted this conundrum right before the news of Chet and Victor being dropped. I’m curious why they kept Crashies though — he’s been on an incredible decline since 2022.
While you’re technically right that Ascension doesn’t perfectly translate to T1, it’s not as clear cut when we’re talking about Americas.
The T1 scene was so restricted that there were at least 4 teams in T2 NA alone last year that would have fit right into the middle of the main VCT circuit: TGRD, M80, OXG, and Moist. G2 (TGRD core) placing top 4 itw should make this pretty evident to you.
Trent has been considered the star of the roster and a top 3 initiator in the region since 2022 for a reason. He’s already picking back up this split.
This could definitely work but I question the lack of a dedicated recon player. That’s why I think one of N4rrate or a T2 Recon is a necessary addition.
You should watch their Ascension run. You could also peep the tournament stats and see that he was the MVP by a massive margin.
I think NRG needs to unbench Demon1, swap him to full time smokes, and bench s0m. Pick up T2 talents like Mada and Brawk when they lose Ascension, and then get FNS an AimLabs coach. Drop Chet and try to get Potter.
NRG 2025 Roster:
Mada | Brawk | Ethan | Demon1 | FNS
This breaks the “clique” environment and brings in promising, hungry talent with a more experienced support structure to mentor them. It also has enough firepower to make up for FNS’s geriatric moments and Demon1 isn’t thrown to the wolves so he can actually close out rounds where utility is spent and raw mechanics are king.
None are “star” players but they don’t have weak links.
Trent was Ascension MVP.
Valyn carried Split 1.
JonahP and Leaf were monstrous at Shanghai.
Icy is building experience and will likely peak at Champs.
They all juggle the fragging burden and no single player feels the need to overheat to compensate. This results in the tightest teamplay we’ve seen this year and I wouldn’t be surprised if they win Champs in the same way EG did.
Governor was barely a top 20 player during NA Challengers last year. He was just high profile because he was a streamer.
Being stuck in EMEA as a flex almost had me forgetting that N4rrate was in the same conversation as Oxy and Tex. He’s looking real nice.
Appreciate it man.
I rated Derke highly because he’s stepped up quite a bit since Leo’s gone and looks quite good. He’s also got the tenure to prove his consistency.
I admit that I believe Americas has the majority of world class entries simply because of IGL role structures that results in EMEA fostering Initiators and Sentinels while APAC favors Flexes.
The following players are Top Tier Entries while the rest could be considered region farmers.
AMER: Aspas | Jawgemo | Zekken | Keznit
EMEA: Derke | Sayf
APAC : T3xture | Jingg
9th and 10th are up for debate but every list should include these 8 in some order.
Outer Wilds
It’s worth buying if it’s not on game pass. Avoid watching videos on it because all progression is knowledge based and spoiling it only ruins the experience.
Based on Current Form
I was tempted to include a TH player but Wo0t has been on the decline and back on flex while miniboo is looking like a “system duelist.” Jawgemo is the only one not to have made playoffs but he’s also got the weakest support system while still popping off — showing his championship Raze and Neon abuse. I’m pretty high on Sayf but he’s struggling with the same thing.
Praying Icy finds consistency with his form from yesterday because G2 would look like an absolute favorite at champs if he does.
