Valorant is very similar to cs. The gameplay loop is the same, the economy system is the same, gunplay is very similar, maps are similar enough, movement style is somewhat similar, ttk is very similar.

Valorant doesn’t need to be cs. Cs is a great game, but so is valorant. It shares what it needs to with cs, but it also has a complete identity of its own. Removing elements of uniqueness bc “cs is better” hinders progress, especially as valorant moves forward and creates its own identity.

I’ll tell you this, if the gunplay was as spray-y (couldn’t think of a better word) as cs, rounds would be way more cancer, as with the amount of util flying across your screen having to hit a full spray would be much harder. It works in cs bc the movement is much more tailor made to it, so it doesn’t feel as jank.
