Plus lakia has the experience to second call in case Francis isnt good enough of an igl. Meteor is self explanatory, granted he can escape t1 jail, but they just made champs so idk

yeah but in general against fnc liquids set plays, reactions, and midrounding was so dialed. against kc especially on the lotus attack side they missed a bunch of easy reads, lost number advantages, and just played way more disconnected

literally every region plays double initiator, its just that other comps like double controller, double duelist, and double senti are actually viable now. Doesnt mean double initi isnt, or that its not being played, just that its not the only good comp anymore
sure but they are beating out a lot of other players and teams in t2 brazil so at least there are results

even cned was looking a lot better on raze/neon in the offseason and would have been a good pickup

double initi/double controller was/is/will be the meta way to play unless riot really shake up how util fundamentally works. Viper's kit is too strong to not have on some maps, unless you're playing a gimmick comp, and there is no initiator that provides both flashes/cc and info well enough to take the spot of 2 initiators, and if you want to sub yoru for your flash initiator, you have to have a player that is very comfortable on a high skill floor agent as well as a team that can fully set him up (yoru tp requires much more supporting util than a jett/neon dash). Plus, this isn't even accounting for the fact that you can run double scans, or a scan + gekko/tejo like many teams do on bind, corrode, and lotus bc they don't want to run a flash initi in the current meta
Double initi is literally the backbone of competitive val meta, and is viable on every single map (either with 2 smokes no senti, traditional style, or even no duelist on icebox/sunset). Not saying that it is the only viable way to play, just saying that it is definitely not out of fashion, and thinking otherwise is just straight wrong.
