Extremist ideas has been a part of India for quite some time now and it's usually a "they did it first so we are taking our revenge" kind of thing which is another thing that I'm ashamed of...also the caste system again is something u will find Only in specific parts of the country and I'm not saying it doesn't exist but it has been reduced a lot. I guess u are a foreigner and so u don't know most of the ground reality of India and is only aware of what ur media feeds u but it's not ur fault and neither ur responsibility to learn about my country.... I guess the main issue that's holding India back is a lot is the extreme prejudice amongst people...for e.g North India is extremely rude to South India and vice versa...also not a lot of people care about North East India due to which they don't feel connected to the country (this has changed a bit in recent times tho).
