All Challengers APAC Playoffs participants now have flairs. . .

History? Culture? Community? Granted you can say that with the other clubs, but you can deny how deep, rooted, and big Persija is within Jakarta's community and culture not just in football over 90 years at this point. It's a good thing nonetheless for a team like BWL to be picked up by an org like Persija.

posted about 2 years ago

Um, that's a big team regardless?

posted about 2 years ago

Say what you want (I won't deny their past doings) but the team has an immense fanbase. It's a big team. It's still the darling of Jakarta and the surrounding region.

posted about 2 years ago

No, it wasn't. It happened after the tech pause. Look at the scores.

posted about 2 years ago

Nah, it doesn't really affect as much because they lost the round anyway

posted about 2 years ago

That's the thing. I'm not blaming PPGL, if anything. It's just after VCT PH, people like to hark on them. Just remember that APAC LCQ last year happened.

posted about 2 years ago

LCQ is honestly worse.

Think if the LA Lakers (or any top clubs) signed a very good unsigned team that just qualified for Challengers Playoffs

I did make the page since it is shown on the official broadcast; by all means, it is confirmed more or less. For now, the team page will stay up. If it doesn't happen, I'll revert. There's no announcement for now.

The T is VCT is Technical Pause.

My take: There's a chance Griffin can take this, especially if Global Esports doesn't respect them. I've been on record saying HK/TW has the least stability of all SEA, but looking at Griffin in particular with how much their experiences are worth, it can be a 2-1 victory if once again, Global doesn't respect their opponent and play down to their competition.

Whoops I meant 4.04, dunno how I get 4.06

posted about 2 years ago

There were rumblings of APAC using 4.04 a couple of days ago, but I don't know how reliable is the source

Edit: I am not a psychic but I am a sleep-deprived person.

They're not revealed yet.

Because technically, this isn't a VCT-sanctioned event nor is Valorant officially released in China. The NPPA freeze is still in place, and teams and orgs are just running these third-party events. However for this, it benefits with the official Valorant Esports channel of China starting to pop up on Twitter.

Because it hasn't been released yet.

again, who cars is a Danish team. You're missing an entire continent now.

Lower bracket except the finals doesn't have them

posted about 2 years ago

So winner goes to groups, 2nd place goes to playins?

posted about 2 years ago

Because we were able to confirm that all 3-seed regions will have their top 2 teams directly slotted into groups and 1 teams into the playins, while we don't know anything else.

God bless

TL;DR
OCE teams couldn't make it to NA LCQ due to travel issues.

PEACE became Chiefs, then became Mindfreak.
ORDER is still ORDER
Teams forming and returning from different mixes
Bonkers came from the lower bracket and ran the gauntlet until they defeat ORDER 3-1.

posted about 2 years ago

Actually I'm hearing the same thing as well. Some that I talked to suggest that the Thailand thing might as well be a bootcamp for SA and OCE teams. But I agree, we'll wait.

posted about 2 years ago

Bonkers might have their group stage secured? idk

posted about 2 years ago

I think in a QnA just now tixx confirms that they're going straight to the group stage? unsure though

posted about 2 years ago

I can confirm that all 3-seed region will have 2 teams going into the group stage, 1 going into the play-ins

posted about 2 years ago

I'm blind lmao

posted about 2 years ago

FULL SENSE isn't in. Stop saying they are.

posted about 2 years ago

If they can get their papers sorted in time, yes.

posted about 2 years ago

Their employment papers aren't still approved yet.

posted about 2 years ago

bro it's literally a meme

posted about 2 years ago

That I agree. FS is still a bit above the newer PH teams. It's just people underestimating the local PH rankings compared to TS.

posted about 2 years ago

Give some respect to these "Tier 2" teams. TS had troubles with internet infrastructure at the start, and their momentum never really recovered as the competition ramps up. Meanwhile, teams like NAOS, APH, Oasis, SBE... they refreshed and competed themselves and show why they are the rising stars for PH Valorant. They're not Tier 2. They're slowly becoming the top teams of the Philippines, and they deserve the respect.

posted about 2 years ago

No, no that's me. Fair play lmao. I knew it was one from the link.

posted about 2 years ago

Think there's a misconception.

As of now, we don't know which or what region gets a direct slot to the Group Stage or the Play-ins. The only, and I mean only reason VLR knew about the PH seedings is because of the detail listed beside the prize pool in their rulebook. Other regions have not yet specified these seedings other than PH. So please, rather than dogpiling and berating each other, just be civil. Is it hard to do?

posted about 2 years ago

Flaring and FirstLove are listed as subs

posted about 2 years ago

Nope. Every match matters. Throw a match? Seen what happened in VCC? Even seeding matches matter. It'll be the difference between qualifying for Champions or LCQ (See Team Secret)

posted about 2 years ago

In terms of talent or... what? Because in terms of talent, I don't know if it's comparable? All of these guys are CS veterans.

posted about 2 years ago

Just woke up. It didn't register

posted about 2 years ago

Yes, that means it was already the plan either way. Whether or not it's a LAN, that we don't know.

posted about 2 years ago

It's... not yet finalized. We just find out that PH has those stipulations because it was written in the rulebook. We don't know for the other regions. Please do not speculate other than that.

posted about 2 years ago

It's not LAN. No indications of LAN yet. Most likely it's a bootcamp situation with BONKERS going to Thailand. From what I heard from other sources as well.

posted about 2 years ago

Need to wait for the schedule because the battlefy doesn't provide any timings

posted about 2 years ago

most likely a bootcamp situation, but I'm unsure

posted about 2 years ago

TH = ID = PH > MY/SG > OCE > SA > HK/TW > VN

Some stipulations:

  • XERXIA has returned. Full Sense has as well. But what about the rest of the TH teams? Time will tell.
  • ID won most of the off-season interregional tournaments. EPULZE, TEC, SEAC... I think there'll at least be one ID team in the Top 5, if they're not qualified for Masters. The top teams of AE, BOOM, and ONIC still reign supreme. But with teams like BOY WITH LOVE, BEAST, Ethereal, BTR, DEWA, and others? It's gotten interesting.
  • PH is undergoing a change of guards. NAOS and APH showed why they were the offseason darlings for the Philippines. But Oasis lurks in the background. And SBE is ready to pounce at any moment. Beware.
  • Please BLEED, if you want people to talk to yall, don't lose to Fastelle. PRX still reigns supreme. One team. That is all.
  • I have faith in Bonkers just because of the fact that they study some of the SEA/SA strats and they do scrim with them. GO BONKERS
  • GE, Enigma, Velocity, Exploit. Still the same strong 4 teams, but how will they perform interregionally? Their offseason endeavours didn't go exactly as planned.
  • HK/TW has no stability. At all. I swear. Is it just me or what?
  • VN only has Cerberus, maybe BAAM. The rest is a bloodbath.
posted about 2 years ago

I think he meant it in its entirety. But I do agree with cheaterr. Right now, interregional rankings favour ID more because of their wins in TEC tournaments and SEAC.
