It's not that hard to grasp if you've followed EMEA val this year. FNC fell off somewhat, and other teams stepped up.

posted 6 months ago

If you think FNC is the best team in EU still, I have some bad news for you.

posted 6 months ago

FUT is not that good and I never said FPX were a bad team. I'm just pointing this post is kind of pointless because almosts bring up a lot of dumb discussions.

posted 6 months ago

Yeah ik that's there, but part of the TH run was woot going crazy on duelist. Not that miniboo couldn't do that, or that woot couldn't perform like that on a different role, but TH was in crazy form this tournament. You never know, maybe with miniboo they play a lot worse.

posted 6 months ago

This take is so dumb, like sure patitek is a sub, but he's still an insane player. He went like +23 against G2 in the lower finals. GENG is just best team itw rn.

posted 6 months ago

No, but like with yay, it might be difficult to make it back in the same way.

posted 6 months ago

If we doing almosts, TH almost choked to FPX and would never have gone on a run. In the end, almosts don't matter.

posted 6 months ago

That could definitely be part of the reason they struggled in Shanghai. Either way, PRX is still in a pretty good spot for champs. I think they'll be fine when that time comes around.

posted 6 months ago

Alecks did an interview where he said that Forsaken was struggling because he was focusing on setting up Jinggg a lot, and not so much on other aspects of his game. Basically, they were trying to support Jinggg getting back into playing, and that was taking away from enabling other players' games.

However, he did also say that he thought a good finish was 4th or higher, and they ofc didn't make that. It was just not a great tournament from them, but it's not something that can't be fixed.

posted 6 months ago

Going a little far there, but OXG does have one of the most promising cores in T2.

posted 6 months ago

It's part of the clip

please help me

posted 6 months ago

I mean yeah EMEA has 10 teams to NA's 6 so it makes sense. But if we're being honest NA could probably field 10 competitive teams due to the insane saturation of talent in NA T2.

Roster 1:
zekken - $4
Shahzam - $1
Nismo - $3
johnqt - $5
skuba - $2

Total: $15

Roster 2 (EG: "The System"):
Reduxx - $3
Verno - $3
flyuh - $2
v1c -$2
skuba - $2

Total: $12

idk how many games either team wins, but both are pretty good rosters imo.

posted 6 months ago

simple, they have a lot of champion points.

posted 6 months ago

Ngl this year of VCT has proven that playing more games is actually just better.

posted 6 months ago

lmao no way you think you're catching people with this bait.

posted 6 months ago

SEN is pretty much guaranteed to make champs. They just have to win a couple of games and they probably get in on Champs points.

posted 6 months ago

I think their mental is fine. They placed top 2 without miniboo. I think the main concern is the lack of time to prepare.

posted 6 months ago

But it's still true to some extent though. Maybe I should have phrased it as part of being a good team is not choking often, but I still don't get how this in any way proves BLG is a good team.

posted 6 months ago

I mean it depends on how you define good I guess. If it's a team that could contend to win, PRX might not even count because they always choke. Anyway, that wasn't really the point though. Idk why you're so stuck on this BLG point lol.

posted 6 months ago

Can we not talk about DRX? I get sad every time thinking about the old DRX roster.

posted 6 months ago

If you're using their current form, you could make the argument they aren't a good team. PRX usually only choke in the later games though. Like, they're usually clearly better than most other teams. Almost beating DRX once isn't the same thing.

posted 6 months ago

Ok, but part of being a good team is not choking.

posted 6 months ago

I mean they got 2-0'd though

posted 6 months ago

That's fine for you to not have faith. I'm not saying you have to believe in them. It's just funny how people all of sudden think SEN is bad because they lost a couple games at the end of split 1.

posted 6 months ago

G2 got unlucky bro they beat TH twice and then lost in the 3rd. Like that's tough, especially when the rematch buff is a thing.

posted 6 months ago

That BLG wasn't that good if we're being honest. They just for some reason went crazy against NRG specifically.

posted 6 months ago

nah for CN it's only one good team

posted 6 months ago

GENG is in a really good spot though. They're basically guaranteed a spot at champs now. I think the only worry is whether they'll be able to keep up the same form.

posted 6 months ago

First of all, C9 is inconsistent, G2 has much less time to prep, we haven't seen this new NRG play, and while KRU did do well in stage 1, it's not like they're unbeatable. This SEN roster is a literal masters winning roster and you think this team can't beat some Americas teams?

posted 6 months ago

Respectfully, you do know SEN can play well again right? Like, they suffered from burnout, but they've had a break now. It's really not that hard to imagine they'd pop off in stage 2.

posted 6 months ago

I disagree a little with the objectively point, but really it's just because we don't know whether these teams will even play well in Champs. If we did something like this after Madrid, we would have put both SEN/PRX in. It's really difficult to accurately predict a top 3 in a game with so much parody.

posted 6 months ago

ngl bro nobody asked

posted 6 months ago

There's no clear top 3 because we don't even know all the teams going plus teams' form change every tournament. Maybe GENG is the only team you consider there.

posted 6 months ago

TenZ is better at Jett, but zekken is better at entry and his Jett isn't that bad, so zekken.

posted 6 months ago

RRQ and Talon have good chances imo

posted 6 months ago

Lakia's gun slipped out of the pit for a second that's why he saw lol

posted 6 months ago

I think it's good they added a map like this. It's always fun getting maps with new gimmicks.

posted 6 months ago

TenZ was never good on neon though

posted 6 months ago

Americas: SEN, 100T, NRG, EG
Pacific: GENG, PRX, DRX, RRQ
EMEA: FNC, KC, TH, NAVI
CN: EDG, FPX, Trace, DRX

SEN, 100T, GENG, PRX, and FNC (maybe TH if they win Shanghai) are probably all guaranteed based on Champion Points, the rest is just a guess from me. EG is the chaos pick because something unexpected always happens.

posted 6 months ago

GENG because pacific needs to win one

posted 6 months ago

There are 4 or 5 t2 NA teams that could place in the top half of Americas, but the key word is could.

posted 6 months ago

Bro's trying to jinx lol

posted 6 months ago

If we're being honest, PRX was not that fun to watch in their Shanghai form.

posted 6 months ago

Y'all ready for G2 vs TH round 3?

posted 6 months ago

wdym chillout? It's just a statement lol

posted 6 months ago

"Credit to some due in yt chat" like this isn't the most simple insult you could come up with

posted 6 months ago

This is a bit of an overreaction, all TH did in this tournament, was beat CN and FUT.

posted 6 months ago

It's funny how all three of those teams aside from G2 ended up winning in the GF at some point.
