Top Korean and SEA teams are neck and neck imo

The Guard through Uppers Hopium

Nice. I kind of wished Wronski joined Order to form a super team, but Autumn is already pretty good already I guess

True, for now I can only speculate that one of them is a world class team. Both of them have the talent, the coaches just gotta do something with it :)

I mean they have players from both F4Q and NU who were both world-class level teams

Let's Go Saya! This'll be a close matchup

Korea and Damwon Kia will dominate the TOP 5, they will reach the semifinals of the ''masters/champions'' and possibly win, probably Korea. Liquid will be the best team together with some Korean team, and Sentinels will disband, Marved will leave ENVY together with YAY and they will assemble a great squad in NA, but they will be destroyed by APAC and JP together with Korea will dominate the world . And those who say ''kekw korea'' will say ''they really are the best''. Stax will be the best player in the world alongside Lakia/Rb/MaKo/Seoldam/TS/eKo/k1ng/Suggest/allow

Not a bad idea, but the problem with doing both Grand Finalists is that it will heavily take away from the hype of the actual Master's Grand Final, with both teams already being qualified

Your region is 3-14 internationally and you want to talk results. The reason your region can't be called a fluke is because you guys were terrible in the first place and still are terrible.

posted about 2 years ago

MummAy did it against Ghost in Stage 2 I think

posted about 2 years ago

2 of those wins are against JP as well :p

posted about 2 years ago

How many times have you guys said that now?

For the past 3 event it's always been "in a matter of time" but we've seen very little improvement, with the same braindead gameplay coming from your region.

Although I don't think KR will be above BR in a few years (largely due to us not giving a shit and wanting to play LoL instead xD), you guys talk a lot of shit for how poor your results have been. While NA and KR could have been 'Flukes', BR hasn't performed well enough to even be considered anything. Can't be a fluke if you were never good in the first place :p

DRX have taken more maps off of EMEA/NA than all of BR

posted about 2 years ago

Masters Reykjavik:
BR: 0 Maps Taken From EMEA/NA (2 Teams)
KR: 3 Maps Taken From EMEA/NA (1 Team)

Masters Berlin:
BR: 0 Maps Taken From EMEA/NA (2 Teams)
KR: 5 Maps Taken From EMEA/NA (2 Teams)

Champions:
BR: 3 Maps Taken From EMEA/NA (3 Teams)
KR: 2 Maps Taken From EMEA/NA (1 Team)

Stop acting like KR is the problem and BR isn't. Posts like this make it hard for me to support your region. You guys have had 2x the opportunity KR has had and you still want more :/
Lastly, BR wasn't the only region to have a boom in teams, ESC and DK will both be strong contenders, so stop saying "one team region"

Yep, and make Worlds all Korean and Chinese teams while they’re at it, cause that would definitely be more fun to watch

I’m on that Sengoku and DetonatioN Gaming hopium

posted about 2 years ago

Look, I ain’t complaining about KR probably getting a second spot, but 3 EMEA slots is fucked up

BR+LATAM and APAC should each -1 slot for EMEA to have 5 imo

posted about 2 years ago

Exactly, DRX had one shit tournament and now it’s KR and JP don’t deserve any slots

Let’s erase Berlin and Reykjavik from our memories

posted about 2 years ago

The winner of Masters 2 doesn’t get a slot though

posted about 2 years ago

4 slots for SA and 6 slots for APAC while EMEA has 3, what a joke

For games not streamed by NSG, check the other teams opponents and see if they are streaming their POV

Lakia could be on the list but he hasn't played much recently

9 invited teams sucks but at least Rebels got an invite

+1
Really good analysis my friend, definitely worth a separate thread. Now go rest your fingers xD

Mb, I’ll add it right now. I just used the Malaysian flag to represent the MY/SG region because VLR does it that way, but I can see how that is offensive and I’ll fix it now.

Edit: Added SG, really sorry about that

I just wanted to talk about new JP teams man... (I had them in A tier)

posted about 2 years ago

I respect putting JP up there, as most people forget what Nth achieved. Not many people have been covering news on the scene, but they've got a lot of new teams to watch out for in 2022 such as Reignite, Jadeite, DetonatioN (hyped to watch this team), Sengoku, and new Reject, Zeta, and CR.

posted about 2 years ago

I'm not entirely sure, but I'd assume not because they did not compete in the ShotVal tournament and some of their players have been trialing for other teams. One of their players also recently joined a new org called Team GP.

Fair enough, hopefully ESC, DK, and even WGS can show up this year and add some depth to our region by giving DRX a run for their money

Damn, we fell off hard xD

GL and have fun casting :)

Btw, are you doing the Bo5 as well?

Had Patiphan had stayed with X10, Thailand would have been crazy stacked this year. Hopefully Surf can put up similar results

W Tierlist :)

posted about 2 years ago

https://tiermaker.com/create/asian-regions-1228666

As the VCT is about to start / has already started in most Asian regions, I think it'd be cool to make a Tierlist of how good we currently think or predict each region is. Could be fun to look back at and see how wrong we were, just like in the APAC LCQ.

Btw, I chose to split up the SEA regions just because I rarely see people rate them individually and I'd like to see which ones people think are best and have the highest chance to claim the SEA Master's slots.

PS: If your link looks identical to the one above, don't post it. Your tier list won't show unless you download it or save a screenshot through imgur

I’ve got more hopium in DetonatioN than Jadeite tbh. Jadeite picked up some mediocre JP players for their last 3 slots while DetonatioN chose to sign some ex-Pubg pros (which has a lot more potential imo)

Edit: DetonatioN also has HSK who transferred from CSGO

I believe the Korea VCT Open Qualifiers start on February 4th while Japan’s starts on February 14th
Hong Kong and Taiwan will still have their own separate VCT in APAC, competing for two playoff slots
Unfortunately I have no clue on what will happen with China

gtn literally could have hit the clip of the century holding a smoke to win the round, but instead pulled out his knife and jumped to his death...bruh

Definitely a sub or an analyst or something
Unless koosta is returning to CSGO, I'm pretty confident he's just a backup sub

DK and ESC are both real contenders for beating VS, with VS in all honesty probably getting weaker over the break due to losing k1ng

1) Two Open Qualifiers decide 8 teams in total (4 teams from each) - Ro32 and above is double elimination
2) Round Robin Groups Stage: two groups of 6 teams (top 4 teams in each group advance)
3) Double elimination bracket (? teams advance to international stage)

C9, 100T, SEN, and NV are all already qualified for the Group Stage
