87 teams, including Sentinels
This list assumes the EMEA challengers have 9 EU teams rather then 7, based off of vlr's format
Bren to Berlin!
1) Zellsis didn't play in Stage 3: Challengers 1
2) Meta evolved into less of a post plant simulator (still too much post-plant utility imo tho)
3) Teams in NA got a lot better in Stage 3, with a lot of T2 teams becoming T1.5
If SEN win Berlin, TSM will take the left over LCQ cause SEN will take the Masters 3 slot to champions
Yes, but you may have to support SEN supremacy
There are only 87 teams left that can still qualify for Champions (86 if you don't include SEN)
What do the slots look like for the LCQ EMEA?
Liquipedia says 7 EMEA slots and 1 MENA slot
Vlr says 9 EMEA slots and 1 MENA slot
Wondering which one is true cause I'd rather have it be 10 teams instead of 8, like the NA LCQ
Larger amount of fans = larger amount of toxic/delusional fans
Bit too early to start predictions for LCQ
Too much is decided by Berlin's results
Happy for the Turkish fans, they finally have someone to cheer for on lan :)
I'd make a few changes:
1) Acend
2) SMB
3) Gambit
4) G2
5) Guild/Liquid
6) NAVI/Giants
7) forZe/FPX
8) FF/Oxygen
EMEA Top 5 (imo):
1) Acend
2) SMB
3) Gambit
4) G2
5) Liquid/Guild
True
I 100% think that once the CS scene transfers to valorant, EU will be the strongest region by far
Also I am aware that competition has risen over time in the region, which is why FPX, BDS, and Fnatic look weaker (should have made it clearer which teams are weaker and which teams got caught up to)
However, you can't tell me that teams like NiP, Alliance, and Heretics haven't gotten significantly weaker, rather then the region just catching up
This thread was just made to look at the two regions top teams on paper and, IMO, NA is stronger right now, in terms of the amount of top teams
Gambit and Guild
SMB are insane
G2 aren't bad
Guild will beat them if they play like today though
Read. I did not say they weren't the best EMEA region, I said they weren't better then NA as a region
This also has nothing to do with the SMB win
Should've worded it better
It's not really 'falling off' when the teams just implodes
Yeah, but even before that, it seemed like a lot of EU teams were falling off
Heretics got nuked, NiP lost their IGL, Alliance disappeared
Is it just me, or has EU as a region gotten a lot weaker between Stage 2 and Stage 3? I mean looking at the teams:
Stronger: Acend, G2, Guild (draken buff), Giants, tenstar, Finest, Rix.GG
Too Inconsistent to tell: Liquid, Vitality
Weaker: Fnatic, Heretics, BDS, FPX, NiP, Alliance, Wave
Now comparing it with NA:
Stronger: Sentinels, 100 Thieves, Envy, XSET, FaZe Clan, TSM, Gen.G (debatable), Rise, T1, Ghost, Luminosity, Pioneers
Too Inconsistent to tell: Soniqs
Weaker: Cloud9, Version1, Renegades, Immortals, Andbox, NRG
I mean now that I look at it, on paper, NA as a region is probably better then EU
(This does not apply to EMEA btw, TR and CIS both have improved an insane amount)
SMB are just really good, but something seems off with G2 aswell
Maybe they should unplug their router and replay tomorrow...
And people really thought this version of G2 could beat SEN on lan...
Which team do you guys think is better between the new G2 and the old Heretics?
(Not including Niesow cause that'd be a no brainer)
NAVI brought Acend to a close OT and Gambit are 7-0 against NAVI
Still think Acend will win, but it will be closer then people think
-hazed
->Transfer bang and maybe leviathan to Academy team
+Thwifo (IGL & Sentinel)
+Andersin (Smokes & Anchor)
+Sinatraa (meme at this point, but if he's on the market, why not)
#C9WIN
Always supporting my boys poiz and xeta
They should do it like LoL worlds where they have 24 teams instead of 16
https://www.vlr.gg/pickem/12f8cb59
Sadge, the copium got to me
Havan Liberty looking insane
Guess something finally clicked with the team
Honestly happy about the win because we are one step closer to Xand getting a reality check in Berlin
3 Reasons Riot is supporting KR more then JP
1) Valorant is struggling to become popular in KR atm, while in Japan it is already popular and receiving lots of viewers
2) KR has had a history to be more competitive in esports then Japan, shown by league and owl
3) The KR scene is more popular with the English speaking communities because they have shown to be competitive in Iceland, along with the most popular player in the Japanese scene being Korean
Honestly I would have rather seen them test their luck on Icebox, rather then playing Haven again
100T always start too slow on Haven against SEN :/
Didn't watch the game, so I have to ask the question:
How has Furia gone from looking terrible in the Stage 3: Challengers 3, to taking down Sharks post EU bootcamp?
They do, but CR, Zeta, and Reject have already locked down the top 3 positions for JP
pain. Unless Japan wins Berlin, Korean Jett is done for the year :(
Facts, the US should be more like Canada in that aspect
:<
Love the confidence though
If Oceania teams competed against SEA teams for a slot in Berlin, would they have a chance to qualify?
Personally I think the only teams that really could qualify for Berlin through SEA would be Order/Soniqs
3/8, some of them were too true for my liking
Seriously though, V1 may look like a small org, but they have a lot of money
Doubt they exit the scene anytime soon
Report: TSM buy out Version1, creating a 9 man roster, in order to compete in the LCQ
He is the MVP of the first international valorant Lan and went 19/2 in fk/fd
They're is a good chance someone like Cned is better, but atm, you can't backup that claim
