People eat beef in India as well. Including Hindus. The northeastern states freely consume beef and pork (both types of meat are taboo in 90% of the regions) including Hindu people. The Malayali people in South India also consume beef quite openly.

I have written a somewhat logical explanation above. A lot of Indians themselves don't know what exactly is a god and what is not. Who they worship and who they do not. A less travelled Indian also lives in a bubble where he believes the local culture surrounding him is basically how people live across India which is not the case.

posted about 2 years ago

No, they are not. Nandi is not a god. Nandi is rather a servant to a god.

There is also no mention whatsoever that cows must be worshipped in Hinduism.

The closest cow figure to a god is maybe Kamdhenu.

The only reason why Indians respect cows (logically speaking) is that cows have very high utility. Its milk is highly nutritious and it can be used in the field for its labour capacity. Even its dung is rather useful as it can be burnt as fuel/converted to green biofuel. Milk is also an essential part of the cuisine and hence its importance. It is generally more profitable to rear a cow rather than kill it for beef and hence the "avoid violence against cows" and borderline worshipping behaviour.

Also, I would like to add, that farming in India is a small scale where there are a large number of farmers holding small amounts of land compared to western farming where a small amount of farmers hold large amounts of land. This translates to animal rearing as well. A typical farmer family will own about 1-3 cows. They cannot exactly be called "cattle" and rather are treated like pets or members of the family. So you could also argue that killing a cow in India would be something similar to killing common pet animals (dogs/cats) in some other part of the world. Imagine your neighbour killed a dog and ate it (strange right?). Especially when you own your very own pet dog.

This might not be the case in other countries and they might not find the same utility in other areas and cows are more valuable for the beef it provides. Therefore there is absolutely no problem with other people eating beef. Cows are seen as cattle and hence can be killed for its meat. We also rear other animals like goat and chicken which can be killed for its meat without any problems.

Then there are also people who promote cow dung and urine usage in certain areas and that is just straight-up bullshit. There is a group of extremely orthodox extremist Hindus that do all this and they are certified clowns even in India. 95% of the population knows that this is bullshit.

International LAN >> Local qualifiers.

You need to actually be really good to even take advantage of high ping.

You can't expect an average plat to use peeker's advantage. Even pros cannot exploit it correctly.

That is why people like Xantares got popular cause they refined this skill.

The international tournament is at a much higher level. I don't think I need to elaborate any further.

For story-based games

Skyrim, Far Cry, Elden Ring - 150 hours

For story-based games with active multiplayer

GTA Online kind of games - 1000 hours

Competetive multiplayer -

Valorant, CSGO, LoL, Dota - 5000 hours

If you reach these milestones, you should touch grass and try other games.

Nothing special about the game though. Just 2 sweaty teams very close to each other in terms of skill that day.

How about we do not rank these teams till the finals are over so that SEA people do not fight against themselves here.

Honestly, you are shitposting so much at this point.
Didn't we all decide that we are not gonna flood this forum with rubbish GE threads every day?

Yet here you are spewing the same bullshit all day and night. We all saw what GE can and cannot do. Making fun of analysts in public forums is ok for 2-3 days. Not a week after that.

Moreover, GE was the heavy favourite going into the groups, all the streamers, casters and everyone said nothing wrong by saying that GE should be qualifying for groups. Upsets do happen. Stop treating if India is special and they will not lose any games. The same is happening in EMEA and NA.

Moreover, stop seeking attention dude. It is clear from these posts that you have some sort of attention-seeking problem. Go get some help instead of trying to clown on VLR.

Lastly, stop being a hypocrite. If you cannot take shit from people online and then complain about it. It's fine. People understand that. Then at least don't give shit to others online as well. How is it funny to make fun of a pro player's illness when you cry about people not agreeing with you on a public forum.

Especially when he is doing his fucking job. Rossi plays 20 hours a day cause it's his fucking job. He has to work harder than others so that he can get better than others. How is it funny to make fun of a player if he practices a lot?

posted about 2 years ago

My man complains about being trolled and proceeds to troll an actually humble person on their illness.

posted about 2 years ago

We have officially given up on the team.

It is glaringly obvious what needs to be done for the team to get better.

They get trolled when they lose important matches.
Bhavin tweets "We will bounce back stronger"

Defeats T2 team in India as a fluke.

Vatsal tweets "See? We don't need any changes. It's all good as we are."

GE management is living a child's life. They cry over why their parents cannot buy the world for them and then instantly get satisfied when they are given candy.

GE wants to represent India at big events but they think that they should stick with the current scenario just cause they beat enigma on a good day.

Of course, I am not saying it is the biggest factor but it's there. I am simply stating that it is VLT's opinion that moving to Chennai from Mumbai (gives you a ping reduction from 70m to 40ms) is good enough and they prefer to play on familiar equipment over going to Singapore for a further ping reduction to 3-5ms.

OP says that VLT cut corners by not going to Singapore.

GE's second set of players will land on Singapore on 10th and they have their first match on 11th. They definitely think that the ping advantage (70ms to 3-5ms) is better than playing on non-familiar equipment.

I should also add that it was quite risky for GE cause their visas were approved at the last minute. They also got very lucky with Bleed esports helping them out with PCs despite being competitors in the event.

GE took risks and VLT played it safe is all I am saying.

Read a reply I just made above.

All good tournaments actually allow teams to play on the LAN tables and chairs and get used to the environment. They may or may not even mock the lighting similar to the event.

I have been to one LAN game in Delhi before the tournament and yes, the teams were practising there.
As I said, it only takes a few days at max to get used to it though.

A dozen DMs in new conditions will bring you up to your 99% performance with used-to equipment.

posted about 2 years ago

Chairs and tables matter, if you are silver you won't notice it but at pro play it does matter if you even move your keyboard away for 5 cms.

posted about 2 years ago

OP is a fake flagger trust.

posted about 2 years ago

Read postscript.

It does matter. Also, it's not just about "good" gaming chairs and tables. It's about familiarity.

Trust me, to experience this, you need to be pretty good in a game that involves mechanical skills. Valorant and CS are not even the best games to portray this. Rhythm games like osu! are much more apt.

Play in the normal posture and position you play and then shift your chair just 5-10cms outward and try to play again. There will be significant changes in consistency. You can still hit crazy flicks or shots, it's just the consistency with which you hit it reduces.

Of course, people in silver-immortals (valorant) won't feel a lot of difference. But in pro play, it does matter.

Although in this context it definitely is bogus because VLT matches do not start till a good week. It takes 3-4 days to get used to a new setup. Still, it seems they are not taking risks.

Ohh btw, if you think that who cares about such minute details, VLT certainly does. R2Ace definitely cares a lot about these things. VLT prefers only BenQ monitors, and whatnot.

Definitely differences in playstyle and preferences. VLT is filled with veterans and old CS players. GE has all very young players (mostly under 23) except Kappa. All this does matter to them at pro play level.

posted about 2 years ago

VLT had salaried content creators.

In their opinion, the better decision is "getting used to playing on the new patch" and using the equipment they know is a better option than going to a new place and playing on rented computers, an update which you barely have any practice on and of course not used to chairs and table.

Anyways happy for both teams, both feel comfortable in what they are doing so IG no excuses this time.

PS - Apparently table and chairs matters a lot. Your sitting posture and the height at which you place your mouse is very relevant to your gameplay, at least in very high levels. Source - Trust me bro I play a game at very high levels that requires aim. (Not valorant)

Too bad that tech journalism is just so bad nowadays that people writing these articles don't even have the knowledge of a simple undergraduate degree.

I can't stress enough that this is not "internet speed".

These tests are run under lab environments keeping as close to ideal conditions as possible and between two very finely tuned pieces of hardware.

They don't even transfer data from the internet. It's just test data sent from one system to the other. Your normal PC could not possibly decode that much information fast enough.

This speed is not practically realisable as well as the fact that internet speed is mutual between your PC and the server. i.e. the download/upload speed will be the lower end of the two. No server in the world can practically provide such huge amounts of data.

Given all of this, yes it is the fastest network link in the world.

These tech articles are written by people with 0 qualifications. They should put at least a little bit of effort before writing such bullshit.
