16 double elim is the worst format

posted about 3 years ago

your absolutely wrong, MOST young people will but as you get older and wiser you would not accept it knowing that there are unseen/unwanted burdens always tied with free money, especially in situations like this.

you mind giving a tldr?

Stewies on his own, but look at the time, look at the time, theres 7 seconds to plant the bomb, theyre trying to build pyramids but theres no more play

posted about 3 years ago

yea those are the worst cuz by the time solid proof comes out people have already taken sides and than confirmation bias can make it hard for people to analyze the actual proof/evidence for what it is.

Oh gotchaaaa, thanks for clarifying. Thats a shitty situation. If its true that they denied it hopefully they have receipts that the money was sent back or something.

posted about 3 years ago

Honestly I hope thats the case. It just seems weird that only his bits increased, his subs stayed relatively the same.

appreciate the tldr

posted about 3 years ago

So whats your opinon? You would know more than me it just seems weird that he says they didnt do it than theres sources saying denc his involved.

posted about 3 years ago

Other people are saying most of the oxygen teams was involved as well as bbl and by the leaked report on Cned its pretty obvious he was involved for 1 month

Last I heard esic was investigating 35 people, that's a lot less than 300.

That was way before he became a pro. Him and his friends had a lan party and he bought the game for one of his friends, iirc, and than that friend downloaded hacks later on. The csgo purchase was linked back to jampii which is why he received the VAC ban. After Jampii moved to Valorant, Valve changed some of their vac ban policies which ultimately lifted his VAC ban since he was not a professional player at the time of the vac ban.

Steel was part of the infamous iBUYPOWER matchfixing scandal way back in 2014. Everyone on the roster, except skadoodle (since their were no receipts that proved he received any skins meaning he denied them or didn't know bout the match fixing) received lifetime VAC bans. Steel rebuilt his reputation over the next 5-6 years but was still unable to compete in any Valve sponsored events. Most of the community felt that a lifetime ban was absolutely ridiculous and feel that the players have served a well beyond fair punishment.

Yea i agree. I know nothing about seven but have heard hes a great young talent I love hiko as well but he does seem to have been on a slight, steady decline throughout the year

posted about 3 years ago

Vanity 100%. I think C9 would be a slightly better representative but its hard to say, Rise has been playing unbelievably well

posted about 3 years ago

The team will not disband completely, I wouldnt be surprised to see hiko and boi replacements though. No sentinel on breeze hindered them soo badly and when your playing a team like C9, you cant afford to be hurting yourself like this

posted about 3 years ago

This is a fact

posted about 3 years ago

Theres an age old pass time that involves your right hand, try it, before you know it c9 got 26-0d

Yay is one of the best players in NA, not even comparable to the tier 2 players you mentioned

I was kinda surprised as well to see the number when lcq started. I guess the taste of international competition made regional competition less exciting.

Most overrated player in NA

Yea I have the first book and have been tempted to just start that before finishing the WOT since I've heard tons of people saying how good the series is and how the first book is amazing. But also want to continue WOT since its a completed series, which I've really enjoyed thus far, its just sooo damn long

posted about 3 years ago

Yea I just hope I'm not lost af when I jump back in. I did take some notes since I knew I would most likely have to take a break in the middle. But yea everyone says it gets real slow and to just push through till the end and its all worth it. Have you read the Stormlight Archives?

posted about 3 years ago

100%. I went all in after reading Mistborn and started The Wheel of Time. Might have been a little over zealous since I had to take a break after book 5, before even reaching Sandersons books. I enjoyed it alot so far though.

Fax, it was a perfect intro to the fantasy genre for me. I haven't read the second era yet but plan to eventually.

I agree, he was one of the viper innovators. Some people also think that when you say someone's overrated that you are calling them a bad player. He's not bad but I wouldn't go any further than calling him a good player. He's nothing special and his actual skill doesn't line up with his perceived skill, imo.

its nice to see that there are some logical people out there

yes. They will keep reconnecting until the game is over as far as i know

it might be tough for your first rpg, as long as your patient it'll be fine, but theres also good youtube tutorials for beginners that help with the different types of builds and character leveling. But you cannot beat that price of $3.76. But like someone else said before, its all about your preferences. If you find yourself getting bored playing games without friends def go with GTA. If your like me and are fine playing by yourself, and can get completely immersed in the game world and amazing storytelling (which Witcher 3 has both, along with amazing gameplay) than go with Witcher 3.

I agree 100%, but at least theyre equal. I would be saying this if 100T lost as well. I just feel that since all the teams played in the same exact shitty situation the results shouldnt change. If they restart, their favoring certain teams over others. They should have just stopped play as soon as they saw players lagging out in game. And as far as we know day 2 would have started if it wasnt for covid protocols. So if lag issues was really a major reason they would have stopped day 1 until the lag issues were fixed. IMO theres no shot Riot restarts it, but who know with Riot

posted about 3 years ago

All teams on day 1 played in the same conditions. There wasnt an advantage either way. Why would you reward the teams that lost over the teams that won, when all teams played in the same exact conditions?

100% Witcher 3. One of the best games ever made. If you enjoy rpgs and are ready to pour at least 100 hours into the game, youll absolutely love it

yea but no team is gonna bring in someone who cant speak the teams language fluently. You may be able to comm with broken English but you cant effectively vod review, brainstorm, strategize, build connections that form chemistry, etc. Thats not even taking into account how miserable it would be being the only one in a team setting who can't fluently communicate with the team/coaching staff.

Nice post but I think your your rematch/non-rematch percentages should be out of 100%, since in that scenario we are only talking about the rematch or non-rematch. 13% is only slight less than half of 30%, which isn't that bad of chances. I could be wrong tho. Saying you only have a 13% chance for the loosing team, of the upper finals, to win in a rematch in the grand finals makes it sound very bad. The 13% would be more accurate if stated as 43% (13% x 3.33, rounded down). Again, i could be wrong, this is just what I was thinking, like the concept of your post tho, very interesting.

Max self awareness, i fck with it

Thats what I was thinking. Theres valid argument for both, but do think its best for competitive integrity to just continue.

posted about 3 years ago

Do you guys think the tournament will start over or just continue from where it left off?

posted about 3 years ago

Dont listen to this guy, thats literally 1head take. Do what you feel is right. My advice would be distance yourself immediately, depending on how serious/long he's been involved with this ideology. If he's open to your point of view, explain why you can not associate yourself with him anymore. Dont feel bad for distancing yourself tho. This isnt a case of unfriending someone due to their simple political preferences, this is 1000x more extreme.
