LCK? No, but it could be an option
League? Yes
TNL has disbanded after months of financial insecurity due to bad management of their financials, I believe it was bankruptcy. However, there is now a new big org in talks with TNL to take over, who will likely compete under their name in the first split of VCT.
Update: Talon Esports is looking to talk with signing ex-TNL within the next week or so. There are other options for Talon outside Korea, so it will be finalized soon.
JinboongE has a chance to be replaced if the talks end up going through
Update to TNL: Just heard about who is likely taking over. A new big org is coming :)
Talon, Ghibli, Sandbox were all rumored to join Korea this year but nothing has come yet :(
Unless if Lunatic-hai wants to pay a pro salary (which they probably wont) i doubt anymore massive Korean orgs are coming for the first split, maybe a few more orgs though
Sad to see, but a potential Ghibli/LSBX roster could look like this now:
Persia is signed and TBD announced to whatever org hes going to
For anyone wondering, TNL disbanded because their financials have been pretty bad for the past year
They were on the verge of going bankrupt a few months ago because someone had mishandled their financial situation and thought everything was going well, turns out it wasn’t
somewhat, but esperanza was flown out to na and trialed for t1, so considering that seoldam might not be too out of the picture for t1
i believe i read once that tensions were high between lakia and other nuturn members, plus his contract’s expiration and nuturn might not having money at the time for his re-signing all contributed to his switch to vs
No, its likely their imminent big partnership
it was the big january 7th announcement
imo itd likely be more like PSG Talon/PSG.LGD; partner with another org only for the roster in that specific title (OW/Dota), but its not surprising if its like a SMB merger too
No, its most likely their partnership (which is their big january 7th announcement)
Massive LCK org, placed top 8 worlds 2020 and pretty big in Korea, but small investings in other non-LOL esports
interesting, id say wait a few hours for the big announcement to be revealed on vs’ end
Might just be a bait then? Either that or theyre partnering with them
Possibly, VS is having a big partnership announcement soon despite DRX likely not investing much into other esports (if the DRX rumor even is true)
Sources tell me January 7th announcement will not be a Valorant roster change. It will, however be a big partnership, announcement coming soon today (KST time)
No news with the potential of DRX/VS, awaiting updates on that but could be a bait
make sure to stay tuned for the 7th when the big vs announcement comes out
not sure what vs is trying to do with this though, feels weird
no, its either a core change or a big partnership/new esport roster
No, it is not
The 7th announcement will be much bigger (but from wording it could be something outside of valorant)
Glad I could contribute something, keep up the work too noyn :)
Solid team, excited for gyutae to play pro
Surprised this is somehow allowed due to conflict of interest with Gold and Gyutae, other than that very solid roster
moothie former c9kr, pretty good sova
beat wgs bo1 in shotval and did pretty well overall
goddead likely on jett
FiveK teased this in a recent video intro with a clip of his GE clutch: “ 아직 이들의 싸움은 끌 나지 않았다” or “The fight isn’t over yet”
guNkorea put F4Q in his name (VVS player) signaling that he could(?) go to F4Q but nothing is known yet, FiveK has also found a sponsor
With this and other leaked info, F4Q is gonna be returning this year as a paid team so be ready :)
where did you hear this from? never heard this one
Rio might not be a team it turns out, Loco signing was just for scouting agency players
10X currently unknown whether it be ESC, Rio, or any other team
Takej transfer is interesting, he was their star on Zeta besides Laz
Rio Company is back, signed Locomotive and Persia is likely joining too
If they want players from their agency to join, (which is a good idea on their part), maybe we can see Seoldam and Astell on Rio Company? Big if though, no confirmation on where Seoldam and Astell are going as of yet
thank you, youre doing great with the news about brazil too :)
possible but its also likely he ends up as manager since hes also a vct caster
been great to talk about kr scene since you and sprouts havent been as active lately, take care to you both :)
No, he is signed to VS as their trainee (basically academy but not really playing officials)
Sources say JinboongE might be released soon, not sure if the financial program can even save them
Apparently they might even go bankrupt? Might be in the hole for them soon if they dont get results this split even
nothing out yet, maybe more when vck is leading up to start
that seems like a good team, nice to see sk9na back as he looked like one of the best on dfr and shotval spg
If the FiveK sponsor rumors are true, Doenmo also posted that he was signed to an org but no news until january
FiveK/Doenmo/Bunny comeback as a 2022 team??
Halo report came out, fifth will be Bazzi
Honestly, any of DK, WGS, and ESC can likely take on VS
When China joins, I think Korea will start to pick up the pace more
Excited to see EDG though, Life is a demon who's been tearing in APAC and KR servers
Persia and Locomotive are a signed package deal, they've been signed to a "known org" but no one knows which one yet
it’ll likely be a change to the team core
No leads on Seoldam just yet, I’d say wait for the big announcements to come out after the 7th
Astell is rumored to join Damwon as IGL but there hasnt been anything that confirms that theory yet
unsure of anything regarding kr overwatch players, only xzi last i heard even thought about pro valorant
ex-LCK org, left League a while ago but probably has the money to join Valorant
itll be Hyeoni, Munchkin, or Hermes
This’ll be a big thread, so here goes! Enjoy :) I’ll update this as more knowledge comes to light
Korea has recently shaped up to be big in its roster changes, so here is a list of what we currently know
Here are the current orgs known to play next year
Vision Strikers
ESports Connected
Damwon Kia
World Game Star
TNL Esports
GoNGo Prince
F4Q
Rio Company(?)
Lunatic-hai
Spear Gaming
Alpha Six Gaming
Warriors Esports
KGA Esports
Maru Gaming
(LCK Org, unknown)
SGA Esports(?)
Talon(?)
Sandbox(?)
Element Mystic(?)
Ghibli(?)
Vision Strikers:
k1Ng is currently out on loan to ESportsConnected: an ex-LCK org that recently looked to join Valorant. This means Lakia is now on the starting roster, and Rb may likely up the Sentinel role. However, there is also a big announcement coming out on the 7th regarding Vision Strikers. Truthfully, theres not much I can publicly say (its likely a team core change) but if what’s rumored is true, its big
Rumored final roster, as of now
Unsure yet, but there’s some big theories going around
