prx/f4q/dk can go anyone’s way, expecting damwon to be out for revenge in losers after getting so close every time, maybe this time’s their chance?

highly doubt they will, but if ge is able to adapt they might be able to take one map in a very close match
honestly, only way for ge to win this or make it close is if they abuse ping to their advantage where as damwon will have to adapt from very low ping in korea
dk 2-1
13-9 11-13 13-7
he doesnt want to leave, he left nuturn because his contract expired and he directly approached vs to join them, i doubt he or the team will let him easily go
either way, there arent many teams scouting in korea for the offseason right now
if theyll be selling tickets and advertising in the theatre itself, itll definitely help give a slight boost in viewership and new players

summary: Megabox will be working with Nuturn to have a live cheering in the Megabox COEX theatre in Korea during the APAC LCQ in Korea via lottery system to choose attendees, similar to what the NA LCQ is doing
would love to see a lol park/afreecatv colosseum event in seoul
if gsl or covid isn't a problem for tastosis by december, could riot please somehow get tastosis to cast for champions? one of the best casting duos in valorant :(
rio company would be a top 3 team in korea today if they stayed as a team

kinda sad :( told his parents he was a pro and got moved to substitute right after his first international showing, even if his performance was underwhelming
who was replaced?? secret?
if what the rumors going around are true with roster swaps, would we see nrg -wedid +steel?
his cover of ado - odo is also great as well! suggest that too if you like his vampire cover
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gq5yJMeOUL4 his singing is actually kinda crazy for how little he's publicly done it
not sure if i agree with the kr finals point, if vs lost then group d wouldve been considered the group of death
playoff bracket was unfair though, sad that they worked so hard to get to this point and they had to face 3 very strong teams
its definitely not an accurate representation of how they actually performed, i dont agree vs should be below top 8 position at the very least but given the format im just curious what others think
do you agree with vs' final top 8 placement or do you consider them top 4 due to their matchup against gambit?
personally theyre a top 4 team atleast but single elim doesnt do them justice :(
definitely so, damwon/f4q depends on whos able to perform that day, maybe if secret had better consistency dk would probably be the better of the two
damwon? theyve been at just about the same level since the beginning of vct
vision strikers have never dropped a map with a lower score than 6-13, will any team here in berlin be able to change this?
fair enough, im not sure about the south america combonation though with la/n existing too, 2 slots for both latam and brazil seem honestly fine
that does seem more fair, but as of now they seem unproven which is why i only put 1, but if they can put up a good result in lcq i think 2 is justified
id like to know your thoughts on this revised allocation i came up with for asia! assuming each masters have 24 slots and ping will not be an issue:
korea: 2, maybe even 3
japan: 2
china: 1
far east: 1 (2 jp, 2 china, 1 kr, 1 mongolia/siberia, 1 hk/tw?, qualify as a play-in)
apac: 3 (sea, oceania)
south asia: 1
to help other regions such as japan without killing the scene, i think they should still have guaranteed slots but have some runner ups qualify as a play-in, what do you think should be changed about asia’s slots?
they had potential to be a top 3 team in korea honestly, sucks they pulled out of the scene
gongo are currently f/a’s except for halbae who signed to wgs, i think they have potential
most of t1 korea is still floating around too, as well as gana from rio
theres a lot of options for tnl right now, hoping they can make waves next year
agree, wouldve loved to see tnl or damwon in berlin
even if rio was still a team id think theyd be up there too

https://esports.gg/news/valorant/vision-strikers-interview-vct-2021/ - note from the vs management that lakia was picked up as a f/a
https://twitter.com/visionstrikers/status/1410886018467725313?s=21 - original vs announcement mentions the completion of lakia’s nuturn contract
hope these sources are enough!
will find them, give me a minute
medusa translates for munchkin, when hes not there its basically korean english and japanese at once
in this case, achilios said it best where vs knows what theyre doing and theyre aware that lakia is essentially a benchwarmer right now, but they have a strategy set around him and waiting for the best moment to set him up into the roster
it does seem questionable but its working for them atleast so who knows really
they picked up lakia as an f/a as he chose not to keep his contract with nuturn post-reykjavik, and from what ive heard i believe relations between lakia and nuturn were not in the best condition (an article said the transfer was “drama-ridden”)
this is a common misconception and more people should know what caused the lakia transfer, would just like to clear it up!

they haven't done much, but im thinking riot will want to promote valorant to china in the same sense they promoted korean organizations such as damwon through a support program, but in china's case it would be slots
i completely forgot about south asia though, but i think 1 slot would be fine too and its fair for china to have 1 slot
since theres so many people talking about the allocated slots given to regions such as japan in masters, id like to give a take on what could(?) possibly be an idea for slot allocations, granted if ping isn't an issue for this
korea (i think korea has done enough to be considered a standalone region) - 2
japan - 1/2 (with the viewership japan has, i think at the minimum 1 or 2 slots should be fine)
china - 1 (with how new china is to valorant and the amount of potential china has, i think its fine if riot wants to hand out slots to china or even more than 1 for promotion)
far east (china, japan, siberia, mongolia, possibly hk/tw?, qualify into masters as a play-in) - 1/2
apac (sea, oceania) - 2/3
while i dont think this is the best of what could be done, based off what others have said (benkai for instance said china is not very good so far, along with japan) unless it can be proven otherwise that regions such as china are capable of being a standalone region, or if having this style will kill off viewership for regions like japan
id like to hear what you think though and if you think this is a bad idea or allocation, do you think the slots and regions are fine as is? or should we wait a while longer for better results before coming to a conclusion
this gambit vs 100t game is giving me nuturn vs v1 vibes
hoping for a close map 3, may the best team win here
