The issue is the rapid rise and decline of most esports. Someone that is currently 12 wont be able to go pro for 5-6 years. And they most likely aren't gonna be able to gain the goat title in anything less than 4 years. Do you have confidence valorant will be doing well a decade from now?

Uhh, a little too young id say. 14-15 is a better guess imo

Another korean team losing two series across two different game titles.

Sadge for Zeus, Oner, Faker, Gumayusi, Keria, Sayaplayer, Carpe, Xeta, Ban, and Munchkin

4 way tie breakers decided by first map diff, then round diff. Loud, C9, NRG, Furia, and Lev are already qualified. Last spot will be decided by tomorrow's game. If 100T win, they're in, if they lose EG is.

posted about 2 years ago

This is incorrect, LEV are locked in at 4th or 5th. Opponent will be 100T if they qual and furia if not.

posted about 2 years ago

No difference for LEV, they play 100T if they qualify and play furia if they dont.

posted about 2 years ago

two separate places

posted about 2 years ago

no, if they win they qualify, lose and eg takes final playoff spot

posted about 2 years ago

Map differential first in 3x+ team tie.

posted about 2 years ago

Only if NRG 2-0. Otherwise furia is out.

posted about 2 years ago

Well. That team that sucks beat both LEV/Furia in the back half of the split sooo /shrug. Lets agree to disagree.

posted about 2 years ago

Sorry. I think you're coping. Not that 100T is amazing but LEV and Furia just look like trash imo. Especially LEV with how predictable and unchanging they've become. Their great game plans fall apart because of that.

posted about 2 years ago

What do you mean by historically for Furia? What is historic? At lock-in maybe and the first few weeks? I don't think that qualifies,

posted about 2 years ago

Lol but it's not both, C9, Loud, NRG, LEV locked in. If 100T beath Mibr, they're locked. Only one remaining position for EG/Furia

edit: Ahh i see, you corrected below, k thanks!

posted about 2 years ago

They just said on broadcast leviatan is locked for playoffs, so that cant be it, has to be EG or Furia out

posted about 2 years ago

Eg loses to NRG 1-2 or 0-2
LEV loses to Loud
100T beat Mibr

Who qualifies? Furia or EG?

posted about 2 years ago

Not just you

posted about 2 years ago

No, 4 is the most.

He's the goat for a reason

GenG most likely going out 0-2 on series

Wayne Gretzky
Roger Federer
Michael Phelps
Usain Bolt
Michael Jordan

Only voted in matches where I knew/comprehended the achievements of both.

edit: And yes, Gretzky does clear all but he won't win since hockey isn't as popular as other sports globally

You need a specific athlete/work visa. That really has nothing to do with riot. Perhaps riot and EG were co-jointly doing the application, but since EG seemingly didn't apply for demon1 or get w/e they need for it in, it's too late.

They haven't changed much since week 1 and are extremely protocol based. Makes them very predictable and easy to anti-strat. Taco has also not been performing which makes it very hard to do well in this duelist-dependent meta. Don't think it's much more complicated than that.

posted about 2 years ago

Not gonna lie, if they aren't cooking behind the scenes, and don't improve for playoffs, I'd guess they don't even make tokyo tbh.

posted about 2 years ago

Reasonable. I do think loud will be much stronger than their current performances indicate come playoffs.

Vlr rankings for teams with the same record are arbitrary and don't take into account tie-breaker rules.

edit: Also, Geng have played all their games and are at 4-5, the other two are still 4-4 and could possibly still advance to 5-4, that is why they are ahead in this case.

posted about 2 years ago

Someone on reddit said this, haven't read the rules myself so could be wrong:

2 way tie is H2H
3 way tie is H2H in the case one team has beaten the other two, otherwise map diff>round diff
4 way tie just map diff>round diff, assuming no team has lost to all others

posted about 2 years ago

Will it be 5-0?

called it, downvote me more

Yep, mel was amazing on desk

posted about 2 years ago

While I do like benita, i do agree. I think some performative enthusiasm would make her much better on the analyst desk.

posted about 2 years ago

Yes. As long as a few things don't happen:

  1. They don't become complacent between the end of the regular season and lcq
  2. There are no long term problems with marved as an igl, like lack of aptitude igling against better/the best teams
  3. Tenz personal issues(kyedae's cancer) don't become even more of an issue, which is very possible, cancer is a bitch

edit: typo

Furia has the h2h on LEV. And in a 4 way tie between sen, eg,100T and Lev; Lev and sen are eliminated as they are 1:2 against the other teams while EG and 100 go through at 2:1.

posted about 2 years ago

I don't think that's true

posted about 2 years ago

Mibr has gotten worse/stagnated. And NRG was at a low point in their season.

posted about 2 years ago

Spoiler. LEV isnt making playoffs

posted about 2 years ago

Counting LEV as probable?? Doubtful.

posted about 2 years ago

Japan keeps their 2 slots unless you wanna kill viewership more, which is what is important at the end of the day.

posted about 2 years ago

Match fixing is always a possibility when it comes to any form of competition. Did it occur here? Probably not but always possible.

posted about 2 years ago

Yes, the literal current rankings. Clever.

posted about 2 years ago

Woke up not too long ago and see only one game has been played. Was there a delay of some kind? Or is the schedule wrong on here??

posted about 2 years ago

Nah, it's just as big.

posted about 2 years ago

Why would it be? Literally the only challenger league doing that trash is NA.

posted about 2 years ago

This doesn't seem accurate as xerxia would have failed to qualify in this four way tie as they were even in map diff but the other three teams were positive. I think even in the four way tie H2H has to play some sort of role. This especially makes sense to me because in the graphic, of the 4 teams, they have FS/AAA ranked lowest of the four teams at 4/5 respectively and these teams were 1-2 in series win vs the other 3, while the other two in the tie were 2-1 each.

Glad JDT were able to redeem themselves after throwing against scarz in the regular season. This was a good showing.

G2 had a single game in game 4. Rest of the series, they got mostly dominated. Mad lion looked super good for the first 15mins in game 1, then they threw an almost un-throwable game and got fisted the rest of the series. Neither look convincing at all. You watched BLG in a single bo3. I watched all six bo5 they played in LPL playoffs and some regular season games because I'm a nerd like that.

I'm not saying that BLG losing to C9/GG/G2/MAD is impossible. Just saying, realistically, that cannot be the expectation whatsoever. If it happens, cool. It would be quite an accomplishment if any of those teams did it. But it most likely will not.

edit: Yep, 3-0. Like I said, that narrative was cope.

posted about 2 years ago

This narrative about BLG is cope imo. Anything can happen of course but anyone who realistically thinks that any of the western teams even have a 30% chance of beating BLG didn't watch LPL playoffs.

posted about 2 years ago

That's inevitable I think. Her being the only female coach across all the valorant partnership leagues+her long stint with EG as both a player/coach with very little meaningful success will do that. With that said, she really be cooking. I really was doubting her because of them retaining these players instead of grabbing other promising t2 talent in the offseason, but the team really has improved more than any other team in all of americas. It's wild.
