generational hate against SZ haha
He's going through military service training arc to get buffed like Karon and Free1ng
Now that Sp1 round robin is half way through, it seems pretty clear that CL KR's top team is T1A. Not to mention, quite a few notable up and coming talents are playing in DRX Prospects or GGA. I think it's quite certain that T1A is going to sweep the floor for the rest of the year, unless other CL KR teams drastically improve. Not to say that non-Academy teams like SLT or FearX are weak, but they most likely would've been stronger than they are, had CL remained out of bounds for academy teams.
That's mostly not the case for VCJ and CL SEA. In terms of the chances of winning Ascension Pacific, inclusion of academy teams have definitely made it much easier for JP and SEA.
Now, since one of NS or BME (or both) are very likely going to play in this year's Ascension, it is obviously not garaunteed that SEA or JP's top team will win it all, but the fact that they're not going to face T1A is quite massive.
Really close games. Shame there was no stream
Once the split ends, probably time for Noez to consider a new player in place of Esperanza. Honestly not really sure how he's still in VCJ after his mid stint in NTH. True he had some good games, but I feel those were a bit far in between to justify an import slot. He's probably the worst import in VCJ this split. BCS imports aren't really inspiring either, but I think they at least are better than Esperanza.
Gotta find his esperanza for his career back in Korea.
tbh we don't even know how he is on other duelists. Bind was the first time he used Raze, although he sucked at it
Since Muto and Brian are always solid, really depends on how Saya plays on the day. No chance fpr RID if RC has TGRD Saya but it seems more likely we get T1 Saya
I guess choker kittens win this if they don't choke and mental boom
Gwangboong is oh so fucking back
From this year onwards, if you want to win Ascension in any of the regions you have to beat at least one of the 2 guest teams currently in each international leagues (unless both are ass and are auto-relegated). That means, either the current guest team is even worse than the Challenger team, or if this year's Ascension competitors are as bad as you say, they'll not win Ascensions
FS 2-1
They mental boomed after first map and got dunked on holy
noez 1:2 fl
I should believe noez is a better team than sz. noez 2:0
ez for fl
Going to be difficult, but I trust in Nobita and Gwangboong. Nobita gonna call Doraemon to save the team
ez for noez
Damn, must be tough for Indian Valo fans
How about the player base? I've seen Indian friends who are into PUBG mobile for example, but never seen one who's really into PC gaming, let alone Valo. Not to mention not everyone who plays are interested in pro-scene, but I'm just curious how popular the game is there.
Oh, so Tata Docomo is gone? Anyways, it seems like internet accessibility is generally really good in India and is not a problem. No surprise considering the focus industry of India, and all the recent jokes in the CS scene.
I'd say pursuing esports career is a risky choice regardless of which country, but I guess it is more so the case in India since the competition is so cut-throat over there? Anyways, sad to hear.
From my experience in India, I've always thought that there's great potential for PC-based esports there, but I guess it's not really a viable career unless your family's got money to burn, all the while they are also accepting of such career choice.
Yeah, so internet accessibility isn't much of a concern is it? I guess owning a PC is another question, but I've seen a lot of people who at least owns a laptop (I've seen lots and lots of Dell at the time) and considering how low specs Valo is, I don't think accessibility is that much of an issue?
How is internet connectivity in major cities? I've used Tata Docomo before, when I went to India and it wasn't really that bad, although not impressive either, but that was quite a few years ago. I'd guess that there wouldn't be that much problem to play an online game.
Also, do we know the player count for the South Asia region? I often see regional player counts by server being cited through Tracker.gg numbers, but I've never seen the numbers for individual sub-regions like South Asia. I'd guess that it's somewhere around 500k~800k? (around Brazil/Korea numbers)
Acme life match
Saya waked the fuck up with Operator gg
Ironically unironically RC performance depends on how good Saya is that day.
I've said it before, but Ascension Pac would be easier for other regions this year thanks to Academ teams in VCK
They were basically 2v8-ing and dismantling MRSH. Had they have actual teammates, Hyunmin might not have been in DRX and DH not in T1A, so them losing that match might have been a blesaing in disguise.
None of the current players are FearX players from Split 3 and it's obvious he's talking about NS core.
I really want Riddle to run it back to Ascensions this year
At the beginning of Valo, so until 2020, Riot's plan concerning Valo esports was to make it open circuit (at the time they've used words like 'community-based' or something similar along the lines, also mentioning different TOs and so on), like CS, and unlike League. Though for some reason they changed their mind going into 2021.
Though even if they allowed 3rd party TOs, Valo garnering as many S-tier tournaments as CS does is going to be really hard unless Riot accepts gambling sponsorship coming into the forefront of Val esports.
Doesn't matter, they eventually gotta beat everyone to win the tourney anyways
The CS circuit is organized by multiple TOs like ESL (ESL One, Pro league, IEM), PGL and BLAST.
Majors have the highest prestige because they are Valve sponsored events unlike the others. Which TO holds a major really depedns every year. There have been ESL Major, PGL Major, BLAST Major, Starladder Major, and so forth in different years.
As for IEM, there are multiple different IEMs of differing importance held every year, kind of like an IEM tour, and the top of the IEM ladder is Katowice. Cologne comes in close but historically, IEM Katowice holds the greates prestige.
Different TOs organize the yearly calendar in such way that there are minimal overlap between the big LANs,especially those by the important 4 TOs, but some of the events do overlap a bit.
Honestly we can't have these kind of LANs since it incentivizes bad performances, but I do want to see mud fights of worst teams from each region.
Son't know the rest, but I only watch Laz and Sliggy. Don't need anyone else
Think he will. Some idiot spread the fake news that Sylvan was subbed out because he's very ill, but obviously we saw him on stage for the post game interviews.
Carpe ma goat wasn't just subbed in because someone was sick.
It could rival Rio for it's crowd atmosphere, both in good and bad ways.
Different regions, different problems.
Mate, League meta changes even more drastically every year. Faker stood up regardless
Both their CS team and Valo team looks planted
prime less logged in from Bind.
It is done, damn reverse sweep
To be fair, they've still got 2 majors this year apart from this Katowice though. The atmosphere and hype is honestly still what CS is miles ahead of Valo, even if we compare Masters
nvm sayf and derke are fucking locked in
I was going to watch the VODs, damn
Wtf, TL was EU best team all along?
Not a problem when the talent throughput is even higher. It seems like T2 Korea seemed bad all this time because all the good prospects were in academy
I hope so. This team needs to lose so that fraudcoach has higher chance of getting sacked
