yeah, xdll was cracked today when they were winning and has been very stable player throughout the season, although I think GON's highs are higher than him

posted 4 months ago

nah, I think other Fennel players like CLZ is better than like a third of Pacific players

posted 4 months ago

Obviously Syouta's got what it takes to become quality T1 player and is clear cut, but frome the other 4, who are T1 worthy? I'd say Clz counts as well and would've say GON but he looked a bit shaky today ngl. Also by T1 worthy I mean those players who can hold their ground and perform against middle of the pack teams like TLN, TS, RRQ and show some good plays even against top APAC teams.

I guess same problem as PRX?

Bro always in pain watching his Apex roster play and now is having some redemption

posted 4 months ago

I've heard good things about HoneyBunny although I've never seen him play

actual quality bait 8/8

posted 4 months ago

It used to be dogshit and their then Apex roster (also goated APAC N roster which won split 1 playoff, first for a team that is not TSM and DZ) said that on stream, that it sucks, and VDK changed it.

posted 4 months ago

We'll see if that's down to VCJ being more competitive/VCK having more mid teams or if they really are better. Ascension will tell

posted 4 months ago

Nah, T1 gotta get their shit together ASAP to claim APAC Korean. They'll stay frauds with A0t0mn

posted 4 months ago

Sad for Yoman but now he actually has more time to contact T1 teams, so half W

posted 4 months ago

It's fucking sad how Riot treats Brazil. Also in Leaguez they shafted 3 teams although Brazilian fans were so passionate regardless of they were winning or losing.

I think it's three fold. Valo is popular in Japan so as a result there are a lot of those who are interested in the pro scene.

Though their teams in the VCT Pacific league is shitting the bed all the time ever since Reykjavik, so I feel like a lot of them turned their eyes to VCJ, where some teams might win the Ascension. And they're not far off considering Scarz was 2nd last year and VCJ is one of the most if not the most competitive Challengers League in APAC this year. I'd also bet for a VCJ team to climb up the ladder and do better than current DFM and Zeta.

It's either those two things above, or just real, invested fans who'll support no matter what cuz the team grown on you.

posted 4 months ago

Who tf cares mate? You support your local team because you feel the conmection. People like you support shit like European Super League. Damn bandwagon mentality. Real fans support their folks through good times and hard times.

There's just too many dumb shit about Asian countries on English speaking communities its crazy. I've seen so many outlandish takes about not only Korea, but Japan, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia and so on. Idiots who've never set a foot there think they're some actual experts.

Well, now he learnt at least that maybe it's a bad idea to develop a relationship with a fan without a second thought, especially if you don't know much about her.

We need Nissin or Ajinomoto create a team and win VCJ so that we can get ramen rivalries at Ascension

I think Akame, GangPin and the Boong Bros would get some offers from Pacific teams, especially T1 if their roster with Stax doesn't work out. More so for the Reject duos since the team is shitting the bed right now and I don't think they'll be able to go to Ascension.

For Japanese talents, Aace and Yatsuka looks cracked, and I think they could be good addition to DFM.

Bro, I really thought that Fennel could take on and win against Zeta until last split...

It's GenG who needs help cuz they ain't winning masters with l0kia

dgaf where someone's from or if he's the same nationality as I am, none of these frauds like Lakia should be playing in IL, let alone Masters or Champions while players like Zest or Stax couldn't even come. Even Carpe better than this blud

posted 8 months ago

People actually think performance from micky mouse tourneys from 2021where Nuturn can go top 3 still matters in 2024 ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€ blud is straight up fraud with that initiator performance. Gotta cleanse my eyes after seeing him play ๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคฎ

posted 8 months ago

Can someone actually hammer both of Lakia's hands so blud never plays again? Most disgusting parasite ever seen in internationals ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€

posted 8 months ago

Not saying it actually was a micky mouse tournament, but without a proper trophy/medal, let alone proper finals venue, the celebrarion feels kinda let down. Hopefully GenG can also win further and get a trophy in the future.

Depends on the region. ERL is doing extremely well and it's arguably a tier 2 and 2.5 system with EM and LFL, Ultraliga, etc. In fact, they are doing better than some T1 systems in other games, so there's no need for further explanation. LDL also did well before the match fixing scandal.LCK CL not so much until now, but will get a boost thanks to Rekkles next year.

So what's the problem exactly? Is it the Korean embassy taking long with a visa or is Passport Seva fucking him and LF up with bureaucracy?

posted about a year ago

Yeah, that seems like the problem with esports orgs in general. Be it the lack of legacy, regional attachment to the local fans, or something else, most of the brand value comes from the players rather than the team.

Also the reason I've had this question since if anyone is interested or supports a team just because its from certain org, I'd say that org is succeeding in terms of building a brand.

posted about a year ago

So not really a devoted support but at least it helps to get one interested.

posted about a year ago

yeah, I don't really follow CoD but have hear optic was a big name there too. Must have helped that they were alreay big in other title but in case of CoD and HALO I'm not sure of the conversion rate since both games are console heavy whereas valo is pc only.

posted about a year ago

I was alway currious about how many of you gotten interested/became a supporter of a certain team in certain pro gaming title because of that org's other teams in different category.

Like for example KCorp fans or KOI fans will support their org's team in any category since these orgs are also represantative of their famous owners and the nationality, but when it comes to fnatic or g2 for example, have any of you became a fnatic supporter in League because you were a fan of them from CS? Or fnatic Val supporter because of Fnatic League? Got interested in g2 teams because you were a fan of them in League? There could be other examples like TSM, C9 etc but I think you'd get the gist of it.

I for one still root for t1 Val since I'm a long time SKT fan despite all their dogshit decisions since they bacame t1, especially in Valorant and am interested to know if there other lads like me.

winners from each pacific region challengers, 10 teams in total

You know, if a team could just simply be replace like that that team isn't "franchised", though non of the teams have fulfilled any obligations of a traditional sports franchise model so its more like atm we don't actually have a franchised team in vct in the first place.
