Twitch is not the grind it's more like pastime

posted about 3 years ago

Ofc they do, if they weren't scrimming they wouldn't be called a pro team.

Still EMEA scrims >>>>>>> NA scrims, if they left to EU 2-3 weeks earlier I could have believed in some kind of redemption arc after Berlin, but now - nah.

Also are you telling me Shahzam does pracc with team and then comes and spends 8 more hours on twitch? This guy sits behind the computer 15 hours per day or what?

posted about 3 years ago

I thought they were in LA for content.
But who they gonna scrim against if Envy already left to EU? Only C9? No other NA team will do any scrims right now.

About Sentinels:

They only start practicing at Berlin on 21st (source - liquipedia), this entire time they were streaming on twitch and farming subscribers, because it's hard to find scrims in NA when the rest of the region is asleep till 2022.

SEN come into the tournament unprepared (not really their fault) and will lose to EMEA teams except Fnatic fluke. "LAN magic" is over.

I even think C9 will outperform both SEN and NV, because C9 have some LCQ experience so they are more adapted.

Watch Red Bull games of Fnatic lol
They tryharded like no other Champions-qualified team, but still failed

posted about 3 years ago

"Fnatic saving strats for Champions" no, the team is just not good individually, they don't have what Gambit / Liquid have (insane aimers all around)

Boaster is another bonkar but people refuse to accept it, maybe it's because Doma / Mistic / Magnum didn't play CSGO at any level before, so Boaster has to micromanage their every mid round decision

Gunplay meta doesn't suit them well, the only reason they succeeded in Stage 2 were postplants and the scene wasn't as strong

And overall this analysis is biased and doesn't correspond to reality, it's like "I will tell you which teams I love and which teams I hate and you rate it"

zeddy is IGLing and still carrying OBG on his back while playing Astra

Suygetsu sentinel / viper
Shao and Cloud flex sova / skye / any other agent in the game, Shao can play jett if needed as 2nd duelist
7ssk7 duelist

posted about 3 years ago

No
Just lost to IVY recently

-arch +zeddy
-dinkzj +Suygetsu
-Duno +Shao

And then we talk

No joke, this team could be top-5 in EMEA after Gambit, Liquid, Acend and some occasional Giants

posted about 3 years ago

Nah, to be honest when they met early in Stage 2 VS weren't nearly as good, they even got beaten by Nuturn later.
But in Stage 3... Yeah. TNL deserved to go to Berlin instead of F4Q. If only there was double elim.

posted about 3 years ago

Dropped Hate and Eko for these useless bots

TNL could have been a top-2 Korean (or even Asian) team in the next season if they stayed together as a 5
F4Q are gone, NU and DWG don't pose any threat, we all saw how "strong" they were at LCQ

They would have attended all Masters alongside Vision Strikers

posted about 3 years ago

Agatha Christie, specifically - novels about Hercule Poirot

Bangers, if you like to think a lot

posted about 3 years ago

Envy haven't played in officials since forever, and it's impossible to scrim properly in NA because most teams are just chilling till next season begins

Acend been grinding every tier2 tournament since that devastating 100T loss and constantly playing against the best, I believe they will come strong into Berlin

posted about 3 years ago

I watched their game vs Australs and it was the most pug shit ever
Neither team trying to do anything smart just going out and taking duels

And to be honest they weren't that good at taking these duels, it's just that AUS were too bad at aiming

  8. Fnatic
  9. Full Sense
  10. KRU
  11. Vivo Keyd

Fnatic sleeping since Stage 2 and you call it "deserving"?
If Riot were smarter they would give less points to 2nd place at Reykjavik

posted about 3 years ago

Guild (most deserving team who didn't make it, they looked incredibly good at LCQ)
Giants
Tenstar
Navi
Futbolist / SMB

Rise
100 Thieves
XSET

These 8 teams should replace VKS, VK, Furia, X10, Secret, CR, KRU and Fnatic for the perfect tournament with 16 best teams in the world
And yes I didn't remove Full Sense, these guys are not weak

posted about 3 years ago

Esports wise Ukraine has always been CIS
We speak same language and play on same servers

And OP is fakeflagging, surely a CIS guy wouldn't cheer for Sentinels

Someone already leaked the 2022 system and it's gonna be the same as 2021, 3 Masters, LCQ, Champions, long breaks in between them without any games
Guess nothing will change after all
Well in 2023 IT WILL DEFINITELY GET BETTER YEAH RIGHT

posted about 3 years ago

How is it L
nitr0 and draken understood they won't play any Valorant games until February (thanks Rito for this system)
Ofc it's better to switch to CS where there is a good tournament every month

Pros want to compete and win, they don't want to get paid for scrimming

posted about 3 years ago

Riot could have made it better by pursuing tournament formats like in R6 or Rocket League, where every team plays fair number of matches per season and nobody is left behind, stronger regions get more attention and weaker regions get exposure too

But they decided to go with open/closed qualifier shit, long months pauses between Stages, 4/3 slots for huge and promising EMEA/NA scenes, basically killing them and every team who didn't make it to LAN

Look what's happening lol, NiP already shifting to Brazil because THEY REALIZED they won't succeed in EMEA, as Riot fuck EMEA over and over again

posted about 3 years ago

I want R6 format

5 non-franchised leagues with relegation and shit - EMEA, NA, SA (Brazil, Latam), APAC North (Korea, Japan, maybe China), APAC South (SEA, South Asia, Oceania)
12-16 teams in each of them depending on region's size, play 11-15 Bo3 games over 1.5 month to determine Masters participants, 3rd month is Masters itself

Repeat for 3 seasons per year - Winter, Spring, Summer, aka Masters 1, Masters 2, Masters 3
Fall - LCQ and Champions stuff, as well as offseason

Also there are lower tier leagues for lower tier teams, who fight for a spot in the higher league, like in football championships
But relegations are after each 3-month season, meaning if a team is good they will quickly rank up, they won't have to wait a whole year to shine

Slots:
Masters - 24 teams, 8 start from main event, 16 start from play-in (say top-2 EMEA, top-2 NA, top-1 SA, top-2 APAC N, top-1 APAC S from main event, everyone else from play-in)
Top-7 EMEA, top-5 NA, top-4 SA, top-4 APAC North, top-4 APAC South qualify
This might change depending on how well certain leagues perform

Champions - 20 teams, similar stuff to R6 system - 16 through Global Circuit points, 4 through Last Chance qualifiers
I don't like this shit when freelo regions (Brazil, Japan, SEA) get too many slots, I want strongest teams to advance to Champions

They're obviously trolling, Chronicle would normally pick Viper on this map
sheydos Breach might be permanent tho, Skye's nerfed

These guys can't hit a shot since that stuff was nerfed

FPX have NOTHING to play till VCT 2022 begins and they decide to troll this tourney with Brimstone picks and no duelists...
I could understand if any Champions-qualified team trolled, but FPX...

Come on. Do something till you disappear for 3 more months.

Gambit, Acend, Liquid, Fnatic won't care about this tourney, prolly gonna troll with Yoru / Brimstone picks on every map or something
Don't expect them to even make semifinals, they have much more important stuff in December

posted about 3 years ago

FPX played over 100 maps throughout both 2021 Splits just to finally travel to Worlds, play 7 Bo1 games including tiebreaker vs Rogue and go home, back to LPL grind.

I'm still laughing at this funny fact. How can so many people watch this shit every year.

posted about 3 years ago

The problem is that if you don't make it to Masters through regional qualifiers in this game - you are useless, nobody cares about you, nobody will see your games, nobody will know your players.

It's even more funny if you see current slot distribution, like I get it, it's good for Japan / Brazil to improve and strengthen their scene, but you can't neglect EMEA / NA so bad... 4 and 3 respectively for 2 strongest FPS regions? COME ON.

Riot fucking over big regions and thinking their orgs who didn't succeed will stay. They need to make more tourneys or to franchise. I'd prefer CSGO way.

Mf put Raccoon, BR teams and Secret above Full Sense 💀

posted about 3 years ago

Pool 1 - Berlin champ, EMEA #1, NA #1, KR (Gambit, Acend, Sentinels, Vision Strikers)
Pool 2 - BR #1, SEA #1, LATAM, EMEA #2 or NA #2 (Vikings, X10, KRU, Fnatic / Envy)
Pool 3 - NA #2 or EMEA #2, JP, BR #2, SEA #2 (Envy / Fnatic, Crazy Raccoon, Vivo Keyd, Secret)
Pool 4 - LCQ champs (Liquid, Cloud9, Furia, Full Sense)

I don't think Vikings / X10 deserve to be so high seeded but it's what Riot will do most likely

Weakest possible group:
Sentinels
X10
Crazy Raccoon
Furia

posted about 3 years ago

We're past that era when you can win everything just because your only rivals are Fnatic and Nuturn lmfao

Also funny that none of the teams that SEN beat at Reykjavik qualified to 3rd Masters

posted about 3 years ago

It's not Berlin results what make SEN look bad coming into Champions

It's their attitude
No coach still
All 5 players streaming on twitch daily for many hours

posted about 3 years ago

Lmfao Shahzam 8 hours on twitch every day, where he gets time for scrims??? And that while being an IGL + coach of the team.
Sentinels are doomed...

posted about 3 years ago

Cry is free
Entropiq, CPHF are tier2 grinders and this Major rewards them with good results
They will both qualify to playoffs easily, only teams which can stop them are Navi, Nip and G2

Anyways a great underdog story is always cool to witness, especially after so many idiots picked Entropiq as 0-3 at Legends

posted about 3 years ago

Envy without Mikes coaching them will be bad, honestly I don't understand why NA orgs keep signing Chet all the time, he achieved nothing in Valorant so far

Sentinels seem to not care about VCT anymore, I just searched Shahzam / Tenz / other players twitch accs and oh boy, how many streaming hours they put into this game, perhaps they pracc like 2 hours per day lmfao, while Gambit / Vision Strikers / Liquid pracc 8+

4 SEA teams at Champions let's go

posted about 3 years ago

Swiss format is not really good in sense that you only get to know your next opponent 1 day before the match, which means you barely have any time to watch their vods etc
It works in CSGO because that's a simpler game, where you mainly focus on fixing your own mistakes rather than trying to counter-strat a specific opponent, in CSGO teams can do same thing for months and they will still stay on top because of much better chemistry, aim and stuff like that

With 4x4 groups format you can prepare for all 3 "rivals" as soon as they get announced (1-2 weeks before the event, it's plenty of time)

posted about 3 years ago

Brazil 3 teams Turkey Oceania India MENA 0 teams

posted about 3 years ago

Do you really think Gen.G, Luminosity, Version1 are less skilled than BR teams / Raccoon / Secret? Seriously dude?

posted about 3 years ago

Because Riot thought Bronzil would do good in Valorant but they shit their pants
So many good regions were just ignored and BR blessed with millions of slots like this

posted about 3 years ago

Sorry but what is this thread
Every frag unless it's an exit frag (hello blameF) is impactful

posted about 3 years ago

Korea sucks except VS, F4Q dead last at Berlin, Nuturn and Damwon not even in the finals of LCQ, 1 for them is enough

posted about 3 years ago

EMEA should have 3 circuit slots too, so basically 5 teams at Champions (we won Berlin) for us and 4 for NA, all other regions - 1 circuit spot (BR and SEA too), and of course LCQ winners
