Applicants have to be well known and have a lot of money and facilities, basically they have to have proved themselves to have enough resources and commitment to run a successful team. But for those who don’t make franchising, the third party events will just be to pass time and perhaps make small amounts of money till they wait for the opportunity to apply again

Riot split VCT into 3 regions - APAC Americas and EU. In each region there are 10 teams, all accepted by riot, with big fanbases and money to be able to buy the best players, have the best facilities and feed into the esport as a whole. Prgs are accepted for their stature and reputation, not their current roster, most will make a lot of changes before the next tournament. For the teams that don't make it, chances are a lot will get dropped, those who remain wait till next year to apply again for the one slot available for promotion into the league

People see 5 Korean orgs and they assume the teams will be 5 Koreans on each team. These are 5 big orgs with great facilities and overall stature in esports, and though they are based in Korea, their recruitment options are not limited to just Korea, it’s very likely we’ll see Japanese talent and probably players from all over Asia join these orgs, remember these orgs will be spending big money and won’t want to handicap themselves by substantially limiting their options. That being said, I’d rather one of these teams with no current presence wait till next years expansion and see Crazy raccoons be given a slot

Also, I really don’t think they need roster changes, the team finally clicked this tournament, Rb is finally back on the role he plays best at and it’s paying off for DRX. However, if they chose to add another player, like a duelist, since you were hinting at that, then why look any further than their own academy team. Beyn is a superstar in the making, ive mentioned him a couple of times before in VLR, I’ve liked this guy for ages, and he looks insane. He just looks like the type of player who would suite DRX’s play style perfectly, and his aim is insane
