I think what you are saying applied a lot more to early Valorant. However, other regions have really lessened the gap between them and NA/EMEA and Groups are a LOT harder because of it. Reminder that Optic got sent to losers bracket in groups in Iceland and went to 3rd map OT against DRX because they were not the 1st seed so I really don't think they were trying to get the 2nd seed. Also, you have a lot less time to prepare and anti-strat teams when you play in groups and you have to expose some of your own strats in the process. Anyways I just think getting the bye into playoffs is such a bigger advantage than playing against improved teams from other regions that have a lot of film on them.

W person for being a stevesuptic and FPX fan

Their first matchup was so one-sided, I think 100T should focus on getting it close before planning an upset

Damn they are going to a map 3 against the best team in EMEA how bad could it be

If people push through a cypher cage, it should tag them in the same way it does his camera. About two seconds and then it tags them once

I'm saying he is a Top 3 raze NA how much can i be underrating him

posted about 2 years ago

Um...Asuna is great but his raze specifically is just not as good as Nismo or Mada.

Right? I just looked at the leaderboard and couldn't tell why only FNATIC would qualify.

which affects how good of a controller you are...you can't just place smokes and die every round

posted about 2 years ago

Don't put Optic and 100T next to each other like that please

posted about 2 years ago

Or we can just start treating them like a 10th place team in NA and just not give them a lot of attention. I'm so tired of seeing 80 Sen threads a day when they are not a top team anymore. Waiting for the day Vlr users move on and talk about relevant teams.

Sen fans: At least this game was a bit closer than we thought it would be
Average vlr user: DELUSIONAL SEN FANS THINK THEIR TEAM IS STILL GOOD OPTIC WEREN'T TRYING SHAHZAM IS GARBAGE

oh thats kinda sad

So George Geddes came out with a thing saying that NA, BR, and LATAM will only have 8-10 teams. A lot of people see this number as a bad thing because a lot of good teams will be left out of the Franchise League. However, I believe that this will ensure that the T2 scene will stay alive in Valorant. If Riot suck all of the good teams and talent into their Franchise League, than the T2 scene will be left with no immediate talent or fanbases, which turns into no money being invested into the scene. The only way to not kill the T2 scene with an existing Franchise League is to still have good teams in it in every region and then they can earn some kind of promotion/relagation (idk if this is built into Franchise League or not). I don't know if any of this is right but it makes sense in my head.

TLDR: Low number of teams in Franchise League will save the Tier 2 scene in Valorant.

I haven't seen it but isn't it a series?

You might prefer a BO1 but players need time in between matches and teams need time to practice and improve. Daily matches would be terrible for the people playing them and a nightmare for coaches.

People that shouldn't be allowed to make threads: Mdkns

Not about Liquid, Guild are just that good and TL weren't ready for their strats.

There is no way another Sentinels thread is on here I stg if you only looked at vlr you would assume Sentinels is the only competitive team in Valorant

They said he was just filling for someone

posted about 2 years ago

Wow I'm stupid lol. Still, I think they used omen smokes when attacking the B site for Arches and Mid tunnel that were pretty effective. Not sure about A site smokes, but it still could work imo.

posted about 2 years ago

NRG used omen on Breeze vs TSM and won so clearly it is viable.

Can we stop having 80 Sentinels threads a day on here? Sentinels are no longer a good team, let's talk about the top teams instead of being obsessed with Shahz, TenZ, and Sentinels

posted about 2 years ago

Shahz said on stream that TenZ could play whatever he wanted to. I don't think he would lie since TenZ could contradict him so I don't think he's comfortable on it yet.

Then XSET should be first since they haven't dropped a map no?

posted about 2 years ago

True, I hope they surprise me and live up to the hype :)

posted about 2 years ago

Ok but the difference is they are the reigning champions who are also 2-0, beating one of the best teams in both groups. If they were losing in the new meta than I wouldn't count it either.

posted about 2 years ago

Okay but power rankings include opponent difficulty and recent matches like Optic's masters win. This list just kinda does what it wants

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah I really don't think XSET are better than C9 until they prove it but I respect that opinion. I think Ghost Gaming are okay but they also just recently lost to EG, DarkZero esports, and Team Basilisk so my confidence in them isn't high since the only win they have is over The Guard who look bad right now. I think Ghost and the Guard will miss playoffs. Lastly, I think LG are a bit underrated at the moment (ignore op) and I see them upsetting C9 since they have a good map pool against them. And I could agree that FaZe are overrated maybe. I think both of our lists are ok :)

posted about 2 years ago

I don't quite understand your ranking? You said LG are #1 because they are 2-0 and have yet to be blown out, and then put XSET at 4th when they have the same, if not better qualifications since they haven't lost a map. Anyways the real ranking is:

1) Optic
2) Cloud 9
3) XSET
4) LG
5) NRG
6) TSM
7) FaZe
8) 100T
9) Evil Geniuses
10) Sentinels
11) Ghost Gaming
12) The Guard

Cypher cam is always invisible? That seems op as fuck if you just relay everyone's positions on site to your teammates. How would they break it if it's invisible?

posted about 2 years ago

Bro I'm begging you to be funny just once

posted about 2 years ago

Mada, Victor, zekken all better. Nismo too imo. S0m is good though, just not top 3

posted about 2 years ago

If you want to listen to casters, watch main stream. If you want to watch tarik for personality, watch him. If you want interesting analysis, I would suggest sliggy. Just watch the stream you want so that your expectations aren't disappointed since Tarik rarely pays attention to the whole valorant match.

if you love him let him go

Would a poor Italy beat North Macedonia?

posted about 2 years ago

Look at rankings, they are 3rd right now so they will definitely be in LCQ

posted about 2 years ago

kj turret without range is just an alarmbot no?

posted about 2 years ago

Their comp was not working well. No hate but neT was missing a lot of crucial op and pistol shots on chamber and he looked more comfortable on Breach. I think the rest just need time in their new roles, but they won't make it to playoffs

posted about 2 years ago

I'm suffering from reaction bias after watching Nismo im sorry

posted about 2 years ago

True, forgot about zekken I would put him above TenZ probably

posted about 2 years ago

For me it's:

1) mada
2) Victor
3) Asuna
4) TenZ
5) Nismo

Drop your own list below

posted about 2 years ago

Not based on the meta, they were trying to get neT on a role that wasn't chamber since he has struggled with oping

posted about 2 years ago

True, obviously they aren't as good as Optic. I'm just saying having a team dynamic where you rely heavily on two fraggers isn't unheard of.

posted about 2 years ago

Aren't you an Optic fan? Optic rely heavily on yay and marved to be amazing. They are still ok if they don't go off but it's a very similar team dynamic where two people are the main fraggers and others are support players.

posted about 2 years ago

We don't know everything going on behind the scenes so it might make more sense with context. Also, LG isn't just some team that Faze would have beaten with Poach. Considering how well Flyuh has played in the series, I don't think it would have made a difference,

posted about 2 years ago

Not to get woke on main but I doubt you have ever judged a male caster by his looks. It doesn't matter what a caster looks like it just matters how they cast ur gross
