Sliggy's Top 16 players list is at 9:05. What do you all think?

16 is supposed to be cNed instead of F0rsaken, it's a typo he fixes later.

Life gonna drop 70 and get Attacking Souls a game in the lower bracket imo but I don't have either getting through. EDG got unlucky with the group of death

posted about 2 years ago

I think Killjoy needs a slight nerf but I'm honestly not even sure how to do that without fucking the agent up good luck riot

damn wtf happened to Lakia

damn when tf does your school get out

posted about 2 years ago

I unironically have T1 top of their group

posted about 2 years ago

They were playing full strength in all games except for the FUT one where they used alternate comps. They still lost to Liquid and FNATIC and just beat a worse giants team

posted about 2 years ago

They got 1st in the 1st season of challengers (weren't trolling) and got 2nd in the 2nd season of challengers (not trolling) so idk what your point is

Riot can't win fr. People complained that Riot were hosting all of their tournaments in EMEA / Americas locations so they put the next one in tokyo. Now everyone is complaining about the timezones. I think Americas viewers can afford to watch some VODs so that Pacific viewers can finally watch some live matches.

Navi are my favorite team in EMEA but when are people gonna stop using the excuse of them trolling? Why would they troll in the EMEA playoffs? Seeding is so important and in the past we have seen Navi put 100% in EMEA playoffs to get the 1st seed idk why people keep saying they are trolling

Can we please drop Balla and give Doug a new casting partner? Balla is fine for analysis but doesn't have the energy or descriptive ability for casting imo

Lying for attention I see

posted about 2 years ago

Nah DRX are gonna win their groups comfortably FUT will be second tho

posted about 2 years ago

Fr I get off work at 11 and the time at the bottom can spoil how many maps and shit on VODs. Now I can get off work and watch some live games :>

posted about 2 years ago

yea the logic isn't logicing on this one

posted about 2 years ago

Is there an advantage to getting any seeds besides the 1st seed? FNATIC probably gonna get the 1st seed so do the 2-4 places matter in Tokyo?

This thread is meant to give respect to each of these underdog teams:

Many people were criticizing T1's roster when it was made but they have continued to grow throughout the season and their team has amazing aim that went toe-to-toe with PRX. They will only continue to get better and they have definitely done a lot better than people had them doing in their predictions before the season.

FUT were massively underestimated before the start of franchising as they stuck with their roster despite losing to T2 teams like Parma. Yet, after solidifying ATAKAPTAN's starting spot, they surprised many with their strategic depth and raw aim.

I'm pretty sure EG were at the bottom of everyone's Americas rankings at the beginning of franchising with what many thought was an underwhelming roster, undeserving of a franchising spot. Yet they proved everyone wrong, building chemistry around the addition of demon1 and thorough anti-strats from coach Potter until they are vying for the #1 seed in Americas.

A big criticism of franchising was that it would suppress underdog teams from rising up and qualifying for international tournaments and yet we can see 1 team in each region that have exceeded their preseason/Lock-in expectations and rode their momentum to qualify for Tokyo. Respect to each of these teams for winning in the faces of their haters.

BBL is amazing on one map, Ascent, and beat FNATIC 13-6 on it even though FNATIC won a pistol. That sound like a fluke? KC banned Ascent smartly and ended up 2-0ing them. Please learn Valorant

posted about 2 years ago

turkish team flukes? Bro can't admit you were outplayed for 2 maps by turkish teams?

posted about 2 years ago

Liquid just beat Navi and qualified for Tokyo and lost to the current international winners and you want them to drop a player? The Soulcas scapegoating is crazy

Isn't this just normal, healthy online behavior when you have a demanding job as a coach?

Vitality have seriously underperformed and they should be a lot better. Also Qw1 is not Top 5

Admitting you were wrong is a W that 99% of vlr users are unable to do so respect

posted about 2 years ago

I don't think NRG will underestimate a game that has Tokyo and Champions on the line

posted about 2 years ago

T1 beating that team tbh

You guys may have amazing replays but these tech pauses are awful. Production come here to apologize

posted about 2 years ago

Nah that's fucked. Also go look at how the homeless live in San Francisco and how they get treated and realize that this exists in all places around the world. Stop generalizing countries as poor

posted about 2 years ago

Just depends on what you want. I used to watch Tarik and didn't like that he wouldn't pay attention to the game and I like that Sliggy points things out that I sometimes don't notice. I think the game is entertaining enough and prefer an analytical lense on it. To each their own :>

Why would anyone care about twitch or youtube chat they are literally the lowest IQ spaces I've ever seen

Pretty sure it's his individual visa issue not a russian issue

posted about 2 years ago

I would say T1 is the favorite as they have looked very good recently even against Paper Rex while GenG have looked rather lackluster despite their win against Team Secret

posted about 2 years ago

completely agreed...I don't think having a large audience during this time helps his recovery and rather feeds his mental illness

This is so entertaining to watch you are insane

You don't have to know everything about everyone but you also don't have to make comments on other people's bodies. This is the exact reason why nobody should make presumptuous comments about other strangers' bodies because we don't know their context. Minding your own business is not that hard :>

The rankings before Leviatan play Cloud9 and Loud, the top 2 teams in the league? This is an example of stats without context

posted about 2 years ago

Leviatan above EG? I personally would put EG above them considering they won the Head-to-Head and are only improving throughout the season

posted about 2 years ago

I actually first saw the game played by stevesuptic, who I got into from youtube and amongus shit. I didn't look at the esports scene until right before 2021 Berlin and really enjoyed watching DRX play. I started playing after watching but never really got into it since I don't have enough money for good gaming stuff. Valorant has been the first eSport I've followed since I got into eSports and gaming pretty late. Accidentally discovered vlr after seeing it mentioned a couple of times in streams and now we're here

NRG is favored but it should be a good game
