it really depends on what you lack. For me personally, DM helps get multikill potential. going 1for1 can be good, going 2for1 or even 3for1 is great, that significantly changes how the round is played. If you hold the site and you get 2 before dying, your team is in a 4v3. If you are entrying the site and trade your teammate out and get one more frag on top of that, that's a 4v3 site hold again.

understandable, but that's how sports work, there is no reason to blame them. If I am Real Madrid and my player wants to leave and he costs 100 million, I would pitch him for 125mil. Why would I miss out on the opportunity to make additional cash cuz of emotions? Emotions doesn't win you events or break you even, being a cold egoistic asshole does

my hot takes:

  1. Most pros are way too soft in terms of their mental
Most teams could have been saved just by them either working more or settling their differences aside, most of the time rosters implode cuz they aren't a team, they are 2-3 groups fighting for their interests behind the stage
  2. Health Programmes should be a standard for every org
Not only does it increase performance but it can also stretch the careers of players even longer.
  3. Toxicity isn't as bad as people say
I range Toxicity and straight up Discrimination as two things, Toxicity being the lesser of two evils. Most of the time ''toxics'' are just people who hate to lose and discriminators are straight up assholes
  4. first arrivals to valorant were complete ass
They were way too lazy to improve on CS (and also they were just blatantly gathering friends in their teams) and it showed when their results didn't keep up with the next generation of players.

didn't understand your number 3 point, wouldn't you also hate every sport club for asking bigger transfer fees and trading players for a lot?

Well there is the blast final in Singapore, I wonder how it will do (last S-tier event before the Major)

posted 11 months ago

which ones again goes back to show how shit the tier 2 system is. Orgs are in the risk of getting fucked, so the players are getting fucked

posted 11 months ago

but that's just messed up towards the players

posted 11 months ago

but they earned the slot, not the org. The players waste the entire year grinding their ass, get thru ascension and then the org just goes ''yeah, bye bye''

posted 11 months ago

they cannot pay decent cuz then their RoI goes from bad to worse

posted 11 months ago

So with them parting ways with their french roster and basically going international, doesn't that set a very grim situation for tier 2 players?
Hypothetical Situation:
-play in a mix of players
-play tier 2
-get into ascension tournament
-be bought by a relatively big org like mouz, fokus, sk, ence
-get the ascension slot
-have a number of players kicked cuz you ain't deemed good enough
-org gets slot and franchising money, you are kicked in the shitter
-go back to tier 2
How is that shit even possible

Where does my precious king aleksiB come from then :(

posted 11 months ago

In narrow angles he just adjusts his crosshair so that he aims on the head. Also it's possible that he heard him sprinting and assumed he would peek directly close to the wall. It's a basic mechanic coming from cs (and that comes from quake) If you shift while you peek directly facing the wall, you are seen before you can seem them (cuz you can closer to the angle then they are to an angle). It also doesn't make sense to sprint while on the far side of the corridor cuz you will look slower. (The further you are, the slower everything is.). He hears him sprint, assumes he is close wall, adjusts crosshair accordingly

First cuz most of the time they either develop into consistently great teams or disband and make good teams better

posted 11 months ago

it's fucking bullshit, also I dislike the idea of the tournament slots expanding deeper into the year, might as well make champs more elite cuz less teams get there. 8 team events are poopoo, 12 teams are a structural disaster, there is a reason most other esports have 16/24/32 slots, that's the better number to work with

posted 11 months ago

I feel like International LANs feel too small for me, there ain't enough teams. Just make lock in the first event of the year and host kickoff before that, 6 top teams from every region assemble together in the region of the current Champs winner, top 3-6 from all regions go into opening stage, run swiss up until 3 wins or 3 losses, top 1-2 of regions are at round 2. top 1s are able to choose their opponent, top 2 will be randomly seeded against leftovers, run swiss again. single elim top 8 playoffs. It's the CS major format, but who the fuck cares, this format is far superior to groups anyways

low return on investment. FOr example in CS, if you get a major attending lineup, you are looking at around 2 million dollars, that's probably enough to break even if you spend a lot and a W if you didn't spend a lot. (reason why a team like g2 were willing to spend 600k on monesy, cuz one major attendance clears the payment). acend wasted 700k into nothing, they got nothing and paid a shit ton

posted 11 months ago

cuz it's objectively the most fair format (unless you go for random seeding, then you are just an idiot). With great rule book, it turns into the best format of all. last CS major featured all 8 strong teams in the playoffs, set up 4 great quarter finals and had 3 great teams and 1 underdog in both sides of the bracket

posted 11 months ago

also say bye bye to groups, dog shit format, go for swiss system (madrid was not a swiss system, that was a glorified double elim). Run a swiss up to 3 wins or 3 defeats, seed them based on overall strength of opponents, ez pz

posted 11 months ago

You are not european, but the reason why EU isn't as good in Valorant is because there aren't two staples of eu cs present in valo: scandinavia and cis. Talk as much shit as you want, Spain and Turkey together have completed less in FPS genre than Scandinavia, it wasn't wise of riot to cut off Scandinavia from franchising

And their scouting network in both CS and Dota is insane, they might as well not buy any top talent and just get 5 cracked ranked pros and then just shit all over anyone

navi cuz they are the most based and successful org from my country:
-donated millions to Foster Homes/hospitals/volunteers/military
-Have the most understandable policy on how to deal with russians in esports
-their CS roster approach and the playstyle is how I like CS (I am a cs Frog, and I would say I am quite decent in CS)
-watching navi kinda helped me when the entire war started so I appreciate them
-s1mple is my favourite esports athelete of all time
