Having the best roster doesn't mean anything, first of all we haven't even seen anyone play. That being said, being the favorite doesn't mean that it's likely you win.

Think about it this way, try to come up with all the teams that have a shot at ascension, doesn't matter for little, and add the percentages that you think they have. Whatever it is I can guarantee to you that whoever your favorite candidate is doesn't have more than 50% chances. It's too early for conclusions

You’re right, there is not much German talent to pull from. The league wasn’t very competitive last year which means not many players from other leagues have played there 2 splits to be regional. The pool of ascension material players is definitely not big enough for 4 contending rosters

That being said, what it does do is making the league a hell of a lot more interesting to watch
