And as for content creators they had Tarik when he started Valorant and they currently have Stewie2k

As for building rosters long term:

• Evil-Geniuses signed 2 great F/A CS rosters in addition with their active roster to help develop and rebuild the NA CS Scene
• They built arguably the best League team of this year (Danny dropped out for mental health toward the end of the season)
• They have one of the best track records in fighting games with one of the first queer champions
• They also have a coach like Potter who has been committed to Valorant since the start of the game. (GC and Main roster)

I honestly think the hate for EG is bandwagon at this point

It's hard to judge the Patiphan leak as the roles didn't match up in the scrims
It was a Patiphan owned alt account, but I don't see Patiphan not on a duelist role
