G2 on paper is absolutely a contender and easily the best Americas roster right now
Mada has been up and down his entire career, on LG/SR back in 2022 it would switch between him and Bdog for the main duelist role as Bdog had the better Jett and Mada had the better Raze/Neon and he was the worse of the 2 (altho probably their 2nd-3rd best player with Moose). He definitely deserves it now but he wouldn't have done well on a 2023-4 franchise team so it was smart for him to continue to develop in T2 because now he's in a position to succeed.
everyone doubted this take yet it just was proven
mfw having this flair in 2022 and being one of like 3 people and now we have baiters and one of the largest amount on the site
They don't speak for all of us tho
people just wanna stay sleeping after a bad year, it happens to every team
off season maybe but historically he can hang with the tier 1 guys
FNS historically has been great with Bind, as has Bonkar with OXG. So yeah we're back we're cooking
The entire LG/SR 2022 roster was underrated, get my boy bdog in tier 1
no way they lose on time thats sad
Woke up happy let's fucking go
Going strictly off what we've seen I'm keeping my expectations reasonable, not betraying anyone cus I'm not delusional.
We COULD be better than Sen/100T but as of right now we gotta wait and see, I've been riding this flair since we had fkin Android and Hazed on the team.
idk why you're getting downvotes for the truth
G2 > SEN > 100T >= NRG > EG = C9
Okeanos, Saya, Victor, trade for OXY (not happening but it would save both Oxy and EG)
Middle of pack team, should be 1st 2nd best of the BR teams and possibly better than some of the NA team but not likely good enough to win an entire split or make a LAN i don't think, could always be proven wrong but theyre inexperienced.
same format just no record carrying between splits, and it being 2 groups of 6 rather than 1 of 5 and 1 of 6
SOOP Val league has APAC/AMER/CN https://www.vlr.gg/event/2225/soop-valorant-league
RBHG https://www.vlr.gg/event/2171/red-bull-home-ground-5
Riot Games One has Japan, FNC, and LEV https://www.vlr.gg/event/2224/riot-games-one-2024
Radiant Asia Invitational https://www.vlr.gg/event/2228/valorant-radiant-asia-invitational
that too, I'm just saying theres so many bands I would love to see perform a big sporting event but it takes a band of LPs size to get chosen over some of the most mediocre pop talent that gets chosen for these sorta things
shocker that one of the best rock/metal bands in the world could put on a world class performance, but no we'll never see that in most esports/sports events these days
Shocker that rock/metal music could be fire for opening ceremonies for events, but noooo we'll never get that
dephh shaz yay and android as a team with 2024 hindsight is diabolical
Cus Supa was already in the system and chem with Derrek and Nature, Skuba would be another person they'd have to gain chem with, better to keep 3 than 2
yay revenge game incoming
bros not finna fork up
So I'm a little under the rock, is there like a mobile version of the TCG thats coming out?
2022 NRG for the time was good but not good enough to make LANs when NA got 2-3 slots. Having to go against at the time Optic, TGRD, XSET, and the hot streaks of 100T and Faze who were all technically better teams at the time kept them out of contention.
Yeah thats fair, I just dont remember seeing Jawg play astra or harbor so thats my bad. But yeah that list is fair.
Demon1 as a smokes player objectively is better than TenZ and Jawg, those 2 are simply Omen flex fills, I'd much rather list players like Bang, Supamen, potentially Zander, v1c, Skuba, gMd in the conversation for good NA controllers over duelist flex guys that put up numbers.
Like sure theres a huge gap from the likes of Marved and Valyn (objectively the best 2 NA smokes all time) followed by the likes of consistently really good like s0m, Bang, Supamen.
Reason behind some of the tier 2 names/upcoming tier 1 is because those guys have been playing smokes most of if not all of their career and have been arguably some of the best in the roles for that time. Are they better players overall than TenZ Jawg and Demon1, no but as a pure controller player yes due to role versatility
Marved, Valyn, s0m are all pure smokes players, Demon1, TenZ, and Jawg are duelists who can flex to smokes so I'd argue those have an asterix over them.
As someone who ran teams/small orgs/played in for tier 4/5 events and is relatively in touch with it, its not hard to grasp the hierarchy. One hell of a grind to get anywhere though
Only opinion I have is if you're gonna want to play it, get game pass and don't spend 70 dollars for an actively declining in quality AAA slop
Would hope to see Potter fix him and that EG performs decently, don't exactly have the highest of hopes but the 2024 roster while not great was enough to keep them out of the bottom of Americas, realistically this roster would be around the same.
Respectfully you're wrong, Victor is good but inconsistent, he deserves another shot in T1 or atleast T2 NA, he would def improve most teams based on his experience, but there are younger more cracked duelists or flex players out there. Plus the optic core ran its course, plus with his duo with Crashies.
Ethan has consistently been one of the best initiators in the WORLD, not just Americas for the last few years.
Don't get me wrong I love the optic core guys and the old nrg core with members like hazed, ethan, and s0m but theyre not the most comparible, keeping Ethan was the right call.
