KRU might now not be the absolute bottom of americas

posted about a year ago

in context of the americas (NA/LATAM/BR) The top 3 teams from the playoffs later this year (you get into playoffs by gaining circut points thru S1, MSI, and S2) from each challengers league go to the ascension tournament and the winner of that tourney gets a slot in the franchise league.

Honestly don't know, putting bdog on smokes was stupid and they didnt come out looking as good as expected, maybe they rebound but just like last year with stage 1 invites like SEN, C9. SR disappointed this time

posted about a year ago

NRG, no, not happening
LEV, potentially

Americas has 2 clear cut top 2 just like EMEA
Loud NRG
Everyone else is either fighting for that 3rd spot or likely gonna be a bottom feeder on the league (mibr, c9, eg, kru if no keznit)

So i def think furia has a chance but itll likely come down to h2h vs sen 100t lev

I think hes pretty decent for the role he plays in PRX, pretty flexible player and is consistently decent on pretty much any agent he plays.

Secret younger and debateably better than GodDead, ons 2.0, time will tell if theyre decent in pacific

As of right now yes, but Nats also didnt get to play LAN until lockin and he hard carried TL against TS. Both are still top 5 sentinels ITW along with Suygetsu, Shyy, Alfajer

2022 meta change fucked their roles
5th player cycle between 3 diff guys
Came 4th everytime in europe losing chances to go to FNC, FPX, and TL.

Fair, Kid just looks insane i have him in HM for a reason, as i wouldnt say top 10 but top 25-30 is realistic

The pros give it to him, so by that logic he already won. Youre one to talk about baiting Shownu cus youre no better

Leo, Derke, Less, Aspas, Mako, Stax, Shao, Suygetsu, Yay, cNed.

HM: Chronicle, Kingg, nAts, Ardiis, Jingg, F0rsaken, Alfajer, Crashies, Buzz, Bang

love him or hate him he's probably 1 of 2 most well known vlr users even if just like trembo he's a fuckin baiter, mans got yinsu and chronicle on his ass so i think he baited pretty well.

Can any of you other baiters truly say the same? cus either way all of you are shit

posted about a year ago

Oh yeah T2 NA is doing great, I just hope EMEA and APAC continue to gain support both from the fans, players, and orgs because some regions are doing great while others are struggling within these areas.

vlr is just clowns its that simple

EMEA: TL, KOI, Giants, Vitality
Americas: Furia, 100T, SEN
Pacific: GenG, GE, PRX, ZETA

TL: Expected to be a superteam, ofc came out after only having Redgar a week and flopped hard, they will 100% look better in regional EMEA league

KOI: showed flashes and almost beat NRG, has a really good core of players on paper, give them time to cook and potentially a better lock in bracket and they could've made top 8-16

Giants: similarly to KOI their roster showed alot of flashes but had an easy first game against bottomfeeder DFM and I expect them to atleast go toe to toe with some of the good teams in EMEA

Vitality: Looked really good off the get go of the tourney vs GE and kept up close with LEV, honestly I think they're the best EMEA team outside the on paper best 3, Wouldn't say they'll need to improve much but they'll probably be the favorite for the 4th EU slot

Furia: looks much improved with the addition of Mwzera and they did well against T1 and even the eventual winners of lockin in Fnatic, they've always been a close 2nd to loud in brazil but I think in the americas they'll be in the 4-6 range

100T: Similarly to TL they had huge expectations after the offseason and I dunno what happened to them but they did NOT look in form at all during their 3 games, I expect them to work out these issues pre americas league and should do well regionally

SEN: Similarly to Furia and 100T, they had to play FNC right off the get go and its obvious that their roster needs some more time to mesh well, they had only a week together during the Tarik invitational and its why they didn't exactly perform to expectations, any 3 of these american squads I feel like could steal a spot from LEV, NRG, or LOUD

GenG: Like alot of teams in this tournament they had to go against one of the best in LOUD off the get go and despite a 2-0 they looked really good against LOUD and have alot of firepower on paper with some of the best korean players outside of DRX on their team, I think the pacific outside of DRX and maybe Talon is wide open for that 3rd slot

GE: Give them time to cook, work out the role transitions for pretty much the entire team and work in LF and Wronski and I expect this project could pull off because being a team that initially was expected to be a bottom 5 by most they impressed me vs Vitality

PRX: Arguably a top 3 pacific team historically, they just had a really rough start against Cloud9 and sure people may say their playstyle has become predictable but they've shown they can innovate and they've dominated apac historically, they will 100% be a contender for a pacific tokyo slot if they continue their trend of innovating.

ZETA: Imma be real unless they change their roster I think they might struggle unless magically Tennn and Crow step up domestically. But its hard not to root for this team and they're definitely a team that can take it to the likes of the aforementioned PRX and are better than atleast 4 of the pacific league teams.

well in their defense it was mostly EU shitposts about it, altho not exclusively it was the majority. So they're addressing the majority of people who complained.

posted about a year ago

isn't fully setup until premier, however it does make it hard for the jump of tier2 to tier1, altho the ascension tourneys were prob the best way riot coulda done it, so its kept the tier2 scenes not completely dead like how people freaked out about it initially. Time will tell but after lockin I'd say alot of teams have shown potential and that its geniunely wide open for masters outside of maybe a few lock teams.

posted about a year ago

Based SOLELY on performance and consistency over the time in VCT: It'd be Yay, with HMs to Derke, cNed, TenZ (yes ik 2 of them had a dogshit 2022 but that was moreso their teams rather than their individual performance) but its too early to call a GOAT because we've had 3 years of VCT

posted about a year ago

top 3-5 100%
Shao, Crashies, Stax, Sacy (2022) all in that conversation as well.

posted about a year ago

Americas: NRG, LOUD, LEV (potential for 100T, Furia)
EMEA: FNC, NAVI, TL, Giants (potential for KOI/VIT)
Pacific: DRX Talon GenG/ZETA/PRX
China: EDG FPX

Tokyo gonna be the same format as every other masters event in 2022. Not really the worst structure minus the #1 seedings.

LA for Champs will still prob be a decent format.

LOCKIN is a one time tourney show/exhibition to show off the 30 franchise teams, we will likely get 2 masters a year next year and every other following year (not confirmed but it'd make sense)

posted about a year ago

first off all 0/8 on the bait, classic shownu

LOUD, NRG, LEV are the clear best teams in the Americas

However teams like 100T, SEN, Furia all have likely chances of taking a slot away from 1 or maybe 2 of those teams. Won't know until the leagues start.

posted about a year ago

4 slots for EMEA, FNC still need to earn it

posted about a year ago

baiters regardless of region and what they say are all dogshit on this site and the fact that sometimes people back them up to only further start shit is equally problematic. But this is vlr and everyone here doesn't touch grass so

what'd you say about us, punk?

shhh dont tell them that

LOUD and NRG >> the rest of the americas but theres another 4 teams or so that are solid

C9 without Yay will be mid in americas, not MIBR/KRU/EG bad but mid

posted about a year ago

NA and LATAM celebrating because its our region thats getting the extra slot, baiters don't speak for everyone.

posted about a year ago

Exhibition tournament, not a masters, but it was still an enjoyable tournament, had some real bangers. Loved almost seeing Talon upset. Its a show tourney after all, get the world familiar with the 30 teams.

Tokyo is where it all matters.

Realistically LEV,
But 100T, Furia, SEN are all contenders with some time, but only when the league starts will we know.
