Facts. They didn't even play like this BEFORE Shanghai, like their 2023 champs run was so good until GF with the massive throw and choke, Madrid was pretty alright, stage 1 was really just stomping in Pacific, then they come to Shanghai to do this.

Zen mode for me now, as a fan since 2022 (I wasn't even mad with the Copenhagen Breeze comp, they were actually doing well but threw a few rounds do that was that), and I'll say I've seen enough. They are regressing back to champs 2022 form and hopefully they pick themselves up back for Champs

G2 look like they have very good reads and then proceed to calmly tap heads. No flashy plays, waiting to punish opponents' mistakes, and then just winning their games.

PRX looking shaky, but hoping they can step up for this game

I've reached zen mode man, if they win I'm happy, if not its gg go next

Because they are actually playing like crap? Like they don't make these mistakes in Pacific, it's like a whole different game they are playing right now

They realised it was too fast and not a prx game without some heart attack so they did that to keep our hearts pumping

Prx has been open about the pressure they felt at Champs GF, it was the last chance they had with Jinggg (at that time) it was obvious they were making really bad plays and EG was punishing them for it.

The narration of having fun more than being champs isn't relevant anymore. They were out to get the trophy, and they're still wanting to get it. It's been in the teasers, in their interviews etc.

Madrid had fewer top teams from each region, some newer unexpected teams, some expected powerhouses, and they all showed they deserved to be there.

This Shanghai group stage had some teams and players who didn't play up to expectations, and ngl the hype films every day feel pretty mid, and I think both influenced people's thoughts a lot

We're trying to get a title this time man

I still believe they can be better, but the results are really showing otherwise.

HI I AM A PACIFIC FAN GOOD DAY TO BE A PACIFIC FAN WHERE IS THAT 2-0 LEV WIN YOU MENTIONED

posted about a year ago

Plays so crazy the other regions didnt expect them. They look like old PRX with all these super aggressive pushes, but they are going further with comps cooking, utilities combo and trading. Love to see it

When life who is having such a huge impact has 4 teammates that are also showing up, they will definitely play larger than life

posted about a year ago

That's a lot of chokium from PRX to make them lose that map man...

Can I oi oi oi too

Prx have always been the biggest chokers at the most important time. I'm just gonna continue supporting them just because they do the craziest things and get away with it a lot of the time.

Yeah they're probably doing it for the sake of making changes

posted about a year ago

The thing is, this current roster proved itself by winning Masters Copenhagen and went pretty deep in Champs 22. On paper it would have been a better team than the lineup with cned.

But the meta has changed drastically since then, new talents have risen in the region and well, I guess farming FD isn't working.

It'd depend which group they are in, The last group was the group of death with drx, liquid, loud and navi and they went to so many OTs just in group stage alone. Highly likely they wont make out of groups if they were placed there.

Kinda same for 2022 if you looked at it, 2nd place in Reykjavik, bombed out of group stage in Copenhagen, won Champs

posted about a year ago

When Pacific has the guy who broke the bo5 record against PRX I suppose your stats will take a hit somehow.

Beyn and foxy9 are actually looking good, buzz doesn't seem to be as cracked as he used to be, stax is still ok I suppose - maybe swap around the roles such that foxy9 is the duelist? Flashback having to step down due to personal issues might have prevented the team to play at their full potential as well.

Yeah reasonable point. I guess vlr isn't the best place to be having discussions without people going over the top with their comparisons and opinions.

posted about a year ago

I see where you're coming from, the better players mechanically usually play the duelist role, that's where the superstars are - and with the plays something does, I'd say he isn't playing gekko like how normally other players do lol.

For me it's actually the other way around, instead of comparing with others, let's say, you would want to build a super team, and you can only choose forsaken as the flex OR something as the duelist for the team (ignoring the fact that most people would build a team without these two), who would you pick? I would say I would rather pick forsaken just because his versatility compared to other players, and the ability to perform at such a high level, is very near unmatched. Heck if he needs to he can also play duelist too).

posted about a year ago

This is just my opinion, while something looks to be the better player mechanically and has a lot more impact, I still think forsaken is a better player (overall in my eyes) just because he can play all the roles and agents when his team needs it. His Raze debut in Madrid still impressed me because he literally just picked it up and went nuts that game.

Something's willingness to be aggressive yielded a lot of success, but at the same time if he gets punished for it that's one valuable player down. From what I see, forsaken has been playing way more safe, letting Jinggg and something take the frags, but you can't really blame him for being more of a team player to support his teammates for success.

Every player on prx plays their part to contribute to their success, we can go all day arguing who's better than who, but ultimately we can just all agree they're a a team of cracked players who are very fun and heart attack inducing to watch (trolling optional)

posted about a year ago

During lockin prx was ass, and that was before something came in - forsaken was still the primary duelist. During Tokyo prx was playing with a sub and fnatic wiped the floor with them. If something could make it to Tokyo it could have been a different story, but when fnatic peaked prx wasn't in a state to hold a candle to them, so it would be natural that nobody would compare them during that time.

I don't want to have hope anymore...just gonna enjoy their W gaming regardless of result

posted about a year ago

It sucks, but what can we do? The other explanation is the teams that got eliminated shouldn't have lost their games - drx choked a 7-0 lead on Sunset, who can they blame for that besides themselves? As much as t1 look so horrible today (whiffing all their shots and looking braindead), PRX looked the same when they faced TS. It just feels like shit they decided to lose the 2 most important games instead of during group stage.

posted about a year ago

Talon because talon looks fun, t1 and drx looks more standard and shaky (t1 kinda overcooked with the comps today)

posted about a year ago

Both teams look cracked in their own region, excited to see their rematch again if it happens
