Yeah. same could be said about LEV's only loss, but I think it adds to the point that no team is without error even if it's weird comps/ coach brain farts.

Despite SEN's downfall which makes me want to off myself, I have had so much more fun watching this year's regional leagues compared to last year's. No more FNC, DRX ( i know they're flawless but I'm gonna count Kick Off too since it's a mini league), LOUD, C9 going almost flawless. Every team is beatable, no team looks invincible, the "kings" have been dethroned and everyone is quickly catching up to take a shot. Hella Fun, you agree?

Not to be that guy, but yay was only good on duelist (jett) in 2021/22, and his higher peak was definitely on chamber since he's fantastic at holding angles and taking slow map control. In 2022 he played duelist only 10% of his games, I wouldn't count that as a "duelist". Also 2022 gameplay compared to now is nowhere near as good, it's definitely not as bad as 2021 tho (btw this is not me saying tenz deserves a spot, he's my pookie but hell no). No hate to yay I'm actually one of the few ppl who would love to see him succeed again. W list otherwise.

Bro if I noticed some of the stuff he noticed, I would've gone to sleep lmao, he stayed up to like 4am to watch this shtshow of course he's mad.

Bro I thought NRG's bind looked bad, but holy fk this is actually horrendous. TMV didn't even have to explain some of the rounds he was showing LMAO. NRG need an actual igl man that calling was disasterclass esque.

FUT 24-0 SEN , they play all 24 rounds in scrims

posted about a year ago

tbh I can't even fault you cause some of us are really annoying, and some others are casuals who think tenz is the best player to ever touch the game. But please don't hate all for some :(

posted about a year ago

difference is zekken did it cause he saw all outcomes and knew they'd win the round, while icy is not him

looks great man, can really see the hard work you put into this good job

That match could've been such a fkn banger if it was later on man riot fumbled so bad, now the only decent matches remaining is sen v loud W4 and sen/nrg vs LEV , but like since LEV look mid it would'nt be good anyway

posted about a year ago

Yeah I think riot realized and that's why they added the minimum 2 wins to qualify asterisk.

posted about a year ago

Which format do you guys like more? EMEA/ pacific where a team or 2 will play twice in the same week, or Americas where one team will get a bye every week, with a super week in the middle where teams play twice. Personally I like the super week, it's hype but that might be biased.

posted about a year ago

This split's format is ass too btw, in every league there is a group that is much better than the other to tha point riot had to add a minimum 2 win rule

posted about a year ago

for sure the format was ass but it's a 2 week tourney and 11 teams, there is literally NO good format for a quali like this

posted about a year ago

I just think G2 improved and EG kinda didn't, every early season tourney/qualifier gets called michael mouse just cause teams improve afterwards as if thats not a given

posted about a year ago

I actually fked with ur takes so heavy before, NRG need to start losing so you go back to ur based ways

posted about a year ago

literally impossible to create a good format for a 2 week qualifier with 11 teams + my guy G2 lost to MIBR, they DID NOT deserve to make it instead of EG

posted about a year ago

what? EG literally beat G2 to go to playoffs?

posted about a year ago

get a cs igl or a T2 igl from NA and he would call as good as redgar without being this ass, so ur right

PLEASE SAVE CLOUD OMG THIS TEAM NEEDS TO GET NUKED

posted about a year ago

Since it's a close quarter map, I don't think you get much value out of the dart early round. I can only think of 2 good darts on that map: default A, and mid, on the other hand there's like 4 goated kayo knives for early info. Also while I do think the drone is fine, on maps like sunset with no verticality, a fade dog would still clear areas well, or even a skye dog, faster too.

posted about a year ago

ofcourse , but like ethan is a world champ and nobody would call solo skye and jett a "good comp" on that map.

posted about a year ago

I don't know it just doesn't feel like a sova map, I think teams would get a lot more value out of a fade or a kayo and u still destroy traps

posted about a year ago

Do you guys fw sova on sunset in VCT, I think it's soooo mid. I'd take fade/kayo/gekko above him.

Also sidenote, can NRG change their sunset comp it's painful to watch.

he was so cold that series i luv iceman

True, but I also just like keeping up with other teams and tourneys which i feel is a lot easier in valorant compared to CS, way too many matches isn't a fix to your team not playing more than 10 matches a year. There is a balance which i feel is closer to being done in val rather than cs

posted about a year ago

yeah, and that's great for the team to improve, but like If im not a diehard fnatic fan, I'm not watching 32 games of them playing. While in valorant I watch every single fnatic game even if I dont like them.

posted about a year ago

CS is an older more household name, so more viewership and players is an unfair point.

Market and skin stuff is honestly down to preference, I don't want to pay hundreds for a butterfly but also it has no real life value.

Both games communities don't coexist lmao, I am so tired of the whole which game has the more toxic player base. EVERY SINGLE TEAM BASED GAME HAS A VERY TOXIC PLAYER BASE. that's just what some degen children and "gamers" do sadly.

CS also have devs that don't listen, I mean this game hasn't actually changed in years.

valorant gives 50% of profits from some bundles to Orgs, and most updates cater to making the pro scene better, so imo that's pretty good improvements to integrate esports into the game.
any other point i didn't address I agree with to an extent

posted about a year ago

agree, one more thing I would change is double elim for everything :(

posted about a year ago

It makes it quite stale imo as a viewer, but maybe that's just me. Because CS players are fine with stale since they play the same thing everyday for years.

posted about a year ago

Yeah that's a great point I haven't got the chance to keep up with the CS scene in a while ( I only get to watch GF in a tournament or two), but with valorant, even if I don't have time in a week cause of uni I can catch up pretty fast.

posted about a year ago

I like the valorant schedule more than CS, it's not perfect but if they utilize the rest of the months of the year and not shove everything in 6 months it would be.
Why:

  1. An off season creates hype for player moves and new rosters also adds a fresh start feeling to teams.
  2. For me, less matches = more important matches and a more hype atmosphere where one mistake will fck u up.
  3. IMO makes for better storylines.
  4. Breaks between tournaments/ season gives players time to stream/do content to individually benefit and grow as well.
  5. Similar to point 2, but less tournaments/majors makes winning so much sweeter.

Valorant is still a young esports, I think if RIOT keeps this going and improves it, Valorant esports will be larger than CS in 10 years. Thoughts?

I'm pretty sure most teams run 3-6 scrims a day (4-8 hours), and VOD review for the rest. so this seems kinda normal, also while scrim time is important it's a quality over quantity kinda thing you can run it down for 24 rounds all day, win the scrim 21-3 and still be shit or you can use your scrims to improve mistakes or train executes/retakes etc , lose your scrim but actually improve.

Also time together outside the server where you just chill with ur team and build chemistry turns out is critical. I mean just look at KRU in last LCQ they took a big break after the season and started prac later than other lcq teams, but they won it. you can also add sentinels as an example to this but they didn't take a break.

Americas' organizations occupy 3 of the top 5 highest earning orgs of all time :
1st: EG 1.28M
4th: LOUD 964K
5th SEN: 863K
Additionally, they also occupy 10 of the top 20 for the same category ( not counting G2 )
Americas' players occupy 5 of the top 5 highest earning players of all time :

  1. Ethan 288k
  2. Jawgemo 258k
  3. Boostio 253k
    4.C0M 252k
  4. Demon1 246k
Americas' players also make up 12 of the top 20 in the same category.
Do you think this is down to Americas being the most competitive/ consistent region or is that because Champs 23' had the biggest prize pool of any tournament? And if so, do you think these numbers would differ drastically after champs 24' which will match or exceed previous champs in prize pool?
posted about a year ago

forgot about that lol, if they go he's gonna get shankd

posted about a year ago

funny thing is that they will probably win too haha, it's so sen to win and then take a month break

posted about a year ago

I don't think he's the only problem tbh, that core of asuna bang and cryo is a 2021/22 fever dream still happening

posted about a year ago

I am actually on heavy hopium for 100T and I don't even support them at all. They lowkey impressed me somewhat in kickoff, and I really believe in boostio to get these guys to shanghai. They have the perfect opportunity too, LOUD have to fix most of their maps/comps with no practice, NRG have a first time IGL, and LEV C9 FURIA MIBR G2 KRU have too many obstacles to list. I still feel even if they make it, they would just get grouped cus I don't believe in their roster. too many role problems, asuna is lackluster same as bang and eeiu, cryo's flexibility needs to improve drastically. But I feel like a quali for masters would give them some confidence to get their shit straight before the battle for champs. If they don't tho nadeshot HAS to nuke this roster before next season. What do u guys think?

posted about a year ago

dang if they did that she would go from 80% to like 0 pick rate
