GC teams need more experience in t2 before they jump into t1.

No one who knows anything about Valorant would have expected a different result. However, as long as they don’t take it to heart it was good experience.

I just fear results like this will cause GC teams to turtle up and stop playing in “male” tournaments and I hope that doesn’t happen. The only way for them to improve is to play in t3-t2 tournaments.

T2 is much worse than t1 and the original The Guard roster would have placed 5-6th at best.

In my experience having less teams allows for MORE fluke teams to make it. A mediocre team who has a hot run could end up barley qualifying before a much better team who had a rough start or a few outlier games.
