Works a lot for r6

posted about 3 years ago

I’m not denying that. S1mple vs Niko was definitely a good matchup for viewership. Only thing that could have made it better was Navi vs Liquid. Best for ratings.

What I mean though in Valorant Berlin for example. Group stage peaked at 811,000 in Sentinels vs G2 but the finals only got 650k I believe. Very rare for a group stage to have more viewers than the final.

posted about 3 years ago

I never said it wasn’t good. I hope the viewership doesn’t peak in the group stage like last event. I think it can get 1.2-1.5 million for peak viewership. Valorant is very team dependent however. If sentinels and liquid play it will easily do well because sentinels has the biggest Fanbase especially in NA and Liquid is Liquid.

Idk what more Valorant fans do want tbh with you either. Idk I guess they want the major numbers who knows. But there are like several viewership threads on this site a day idk why.

S1mple does indeed bring in the numbers for the cis region.

Hello Phamous,

Idk people keep trying to compare viewership with CS and the Major which is unrealistic. The viewership Val is getting is good but I guess people want or expect more? Who knows. Even before champions I saw viewership threads on here.

posted about 3 years ago

You are right, they are two different but ran by the same company. They allowed co streaming for the cs major because correct me if I’m wrong but valve is pretty lenient with it but most cs events are not co streamed. If anyone gets co streaming rights for cs I hope it’s Tarik. Was a shame shroud got to co stream Cologne but he didn’t.

posted about 3 years ago

On and off but it has always been good with viewership. I mean back in 2018 they got 1.4 mil with the Boston major so. Maybe you haven’t been watching?

posted about 3 years ago

As much as people will like to not admit it. Valorant viewership is good but there are a lot of factors that go into it such as watch parties and now drops. I think CS has always gotten better viewership competitively. Only event that did better than majority of the cs tourneys was Iceland which popped off.

posted about 3 years ago

Yeah idk. People use it for a flex and it’s just Valorant frogs/simps going against csgo frogs/fanboys.

I think csgo is more enjoyable to watch imo. Valorant it’s like everything happens within the last 20-30 seconds and it’s all at once.

Let’s be real here tho. Majority of NA viewers are most likely younger and you’re right they are in school. But I doubt that being in school really stops them from watching though. Considering people will stay up at degen hours to watch some of these streamers.

posted about 3 years ago

People set the expectations after Iceland and want to try and compare it to the PGL major. That is why people keep bringing up viewership I think. Pointless but it’s whatever.

posted about 3 years ago

You sure about that? Pretty sure it’s split up quite between NA and EU and one Aussie.

Either way It does seem like casters tend to be pretty biased imo. Biased towards NA first and then EU or whatever team tends to be the favourite.

posted about 3 years ago

It’s Riot so standards aren’t set that high. About time people start realizing.

posted about 3 years ago

After the 20 minute tech pause yesterday in the Furia vs Sentinels game. Riot has a lot to work on.

posted about 3 years ago

I know cs pays well in the t1 scene up to 40k a month. I’m sure league and dota pay good as well.

Sports salaries are insane. Recently Max Scherzer (baseball player) signed a 3 year 130 million dollar deal. 43 million a year roughly. Nba players making insane money. I know football/soccer players make good money as well.

NHL does as well but make the lowest of 4 I’ve listed.

posted about 3 years ago

Nitro and Sinatraa were getting paid 25k a month at a point imo which is a little overpaid for a game that just came out. Pretty sure at this given moment though. Tenz ptobably getting paid quite well and possibly scream on liquid because it’s liquid.

posted about 3 years ago

No one really. I guess Liquid or Gambit for this tournament.

Like Liquid for CS and Gambit just because I like how they are all younger 18-20 besides redgar.

Yes mr Australian

posted about 3 years ago

Completely different situations. Either way it’s a joke from riot.

posted about 3 years ago

This game is entirely momentum based in situations like that. The same can be said with CSGO. You’re delusional or lower rank if you think otherwise.

posted about 3 years ago

Riot tends to be biased towards NA seems like. 20 minute tech pause completely ruined their momentum.

posted about 3 years ago

The tech pause completely cucked Furia and ruined all their momentum. 20 minute tech pause is just ridiculous.

posted about 3 years ago

Valorant in a nut shell man
These tech pauses are ruining competitive scene. Furia lost all their momentum after a 20 minute tech pause. I don’t know how anyone can deny that.

posted about 3 years ago

I think you’re deluded. The 20 minute tech pause completely ruined their momentum and a chance of a comeback.

posted about 3 years ago

Sorry but Furia got scammed and lost all their momentum with that 20 minute tech pause lol

posted about 3 years ago

Yes it is
Berlin peaked at 800k during group stagee

posted about 3 years ago

Brazil is the best region for r6 right now but it used to be NA and EU.

I’ve never played or watched fortnite so I can’t comment on that. They might be but idk. Battle Royales are boring to watch. And yeah NA is the only region where cod is played because it is a console dominant region. However one team in the cod league was British/Danish mix.

15 min pause to ruin momentum

posted about 3 years ago

Ruined their whole momentum. Feel bad for Furia.

posted about 3 years ago

He probably doesn't. But you got to feel for Furia. That tech pause really ruined all their momentum and chances of that winning that game.

posted about 3 years ago

probably is biased because its there biggest region im pretty sure.

i would be pissed from that long ass tech pause. furia lost all their momentum from that.

posted about 3 years ago

I would be pissed if I was Furia. You have all this momentum and you will lose it all due to this 10 minute tech pause lol.

posted about 3 years ago

Isn't mexico and japan really good at them too?
I loved playing tekken and mortal kombat on the 360 growing up.

posted about 3 years ago

The only games NA are consistently good at are cod and r6. R6 they’ve shit the bed recently but cod no.

Imagine in NA CS if more players put the effort and time in to be the best instead of caring about egos and reputation instead of the 15-20 players that did.

posted about 3 years ago

Where have I seen this situation before?

posted about 3 years ago

NA biased towards NA but it’s either them or Gambit who is the best team. I’d say Gambit just off Berlin results but fans may get mad.

posted about 3 years ago

Sorry I say 1.2-1.5 mil is more realistically

posted about 3 years ago

It most likely will. I can see 1.2-1.5 mil peak for the event. Hopefully the viewership doesn’t peak in the group stages though like last time.

I’m guess it’s 690k

Always good to have a secondary awp

posted about 3 years ago

It’s not clueless lol. I get your point but he doesn’t even do that. He legit just sits there like a zombie. It’s not too deep. He’s streaming the event anyway so idk. This whole thread was pointless.

posted about 3 years ago

Valorant’s mechanics are overall easier but these guys played CS for so long it’s like natural to them. Just got to go through the motions. If any val player decided to go back to cs it would probably all be the same.

posted about 3 years ago

wdym lol you do realize he wasn’t a primary awper throughout his career lol.

100T is a dead team

Build around asuna and Ethan and go from there. Maybe drop Hiko as well.

posted about 3 years ago

Accurate

posted about 3 years ago

I stopped caring for shroud when he started to call cs dead 24/7. Haven’t really watched him since pubg cs days. I was just amazed 350k people were watching him watch a Valorant event and him just sitting there dazed.

The average guy on twitch thinks shroud is a god.

posted about 3 years ago

I know it doesn’t have to get close but people keep talking like it should get that viewership or beat it which is absurd imo. It has more to do with CS being around for 20 years. The fact there was a full sell out crowd helps a lot. The stage is cool and all for Valorant but the crowd makes that much more of a difference. Riot for whatever reason seems to have no interest in having a crowd atm.

I still wanna know how he got 3x the viewers than want the main channel was getting during Iceland. He still brings a lot of views though.

posted about 3 years ago

Yet he still had 3x the viewers than the main channel during Iceland somehow
