Yeah I think we can guess that number of players there is not very high and everyone probably knows each other.

Well the playerbase in Valorant in NA is bigger than the playerbase of CS rn in NA just due to the fact of Valorant is trendy in NA. There is a lot of young talent in both scenes but none of them get signed. I get there were players in CS who switched to Val who never got a real chance in cs who now are on a team but the examples you gave are kind of bad.
Tenz has The biggest following in Valorant, why would he switch back
S0m had potential but dipped before he got a real chance, if he switched where he would go?
Ethan was the only player you mentioned who had a real career in CS but switched due to travel. I don’t see him switching back unless LANs fully return (who knows when that will be)
Leaf along with all the chaos boys should have all been signed but cucked to covid
Shanks is a MDL thrower, No one will sign him.

I don’t think any scene is washed or not. There are just a lot of washed or failed players in the na Val scene from cs. Doesn’t make the scene washed. I think if na Val wants to be on top again. The mindsets got to chance.

I think he also had a big buyout as well that teams didn’t want to pay. He was still contracted with OG till the new year started.

Well the difference between Autimatic and nitro and NBK is two of them were in a struggling NA scene hit hard due to Covid with not a lot of options. People said they were washed but they are just retarded. Even though Autimatic had lackluster results he played good and we all know how well nitro played. I think they make champions if they didn’t drop steel but that’s just imo. Going with NBK, he just wanted a free handout back to t1 cs after he got benched instead of joining a t2 team and working his way back up (Kennys was the same) and I believe he had a big buyout. I never followed NBK in Val so I don’t know how good he was in it. I just know before he switched he wasn’t playing great in CS. I think it’s just ego thing.

Those who call Valorant dead are stupid but most likely call it dead because a lot of Val players call cs dead so. Cs players been hearing it since 2017 so I can assume it’s annoying.

Regarding the retirement home, as harsh as it sounds, at least in the NA scene for Val, majority of the pros were washed or failed cs players which isn’t a bad thing but it Is the truth. It would be nice to see more new players given a chance than same players cycled between rosters like NA cs.

This was a lot longer then I intended too. My bad

that is not at all how it works lol. gambling is a choice, you don't have to gamble to get skins lol.

Shazham been a rat since 2014. I will admit he has a good laugh though.

Only downside to it is you can’t sell anything. Imo I think half of the bundles in Valorant are a rip off. I feel bad for kids I get in my game who spent like 800 dollars on skins.

I mean he is mechanically insane. He went from CS to Valorant which lets be real, is not as mechanically skillful as CS with a shooting style that was honestly made for him. The sale was he played CS is the same way he plays Valorant. It’s just a buff for him. Considering he mains Reyna, it just comes down to aim and positioning which is something he already excels in.

Majority of NA VAL fans are stupid tbh. They just don’t understand how things work. They care more about star fragger and the rest will fall into place.

It was fun. I remember my friend played viper before it was the meta. We used to do this boost with the wall where you can get launched. Was cool to find all these cool tricks. Now when I play I get an e couple on my team.

If you ever played esea, I think esea has the best matchmaking system in all games. Assuming you’re from Europe, I know esea wasn’t as big there for pugs, people only used the league system. But it was always big in NA. It was bigger than faceit for a long time here until all the pros switched back to faceit for fpl. But esea has the best ranking system. At least it did at a point. The best part about it is the .block system. If you get a terrible or toxic teammate. You can .block them and they can never get on your team again. Best feature ever. I do like the top 500 leaderboard system in val. The only sucky part is you have to play a shit ton to get it. For someone like myself who goes to school full time and others who do the same or work. Can be quite hard to keep a rank like radiant or get it.

posted about 3 years ago

Cares more about streaming. Cant full time stream and be a pro. Just will never work.

posted about 3 years ago

High elo pugs in faceit isn’t bad or if you queue like one of the hubs. There is always a given to have a bad team or teammates but it just seems more frequent in Valorant. Valorant has a bigger smurfing problems than any other game right now. I have friends who have like 10 accounts, boost them all and then sell them for easy $$$. Obviously takes time but one immortal account with skins can easily sell for 600 depending on the skins.

I do know for NA mm though. It’s a lot different from EU mm. There are players who are gold nova in mm who realistically shouldn’t be there. I have a friend who’s 2600 elo on faceit but stuck gn4 in mm. For whatever reason it’s impossible to gain elo in NA. You win 10 games in a row and it’s a coin flip if you rank up.

posted about 3 years ago

I had the most fun with Valorant when it first came out. Not as many degenerates playing the game when it first came out and 5 stacking in high ranks with friends was a blast.

posted about 3 years ago

Fun is an overstatement. Ranked in Valorant sucks lol. I do like the leaderboard aspect but the ranked overall is aids. It’s a coin flip simulator regarding if you get good teammates or not, not to mention toxicity. Seems like every game you curb stomp or get curbed stomped. Hardly any close games in my rank. Unless riot fixes the boosted accounts problems and smurfing (not as big of deal in my rank) I just have a hard time enjoying or having a good time. It’s just annoying when you get gold players on your team buying immortal accounts and so on.

posted about 3 years ago

When the same players of a scene were all apart of the problem in one game and the majority of them switched to another and the same problems are occurring. Clearly there is a problem. Things won’t change unless the players mindsets change and I currently don’t see that happening.

Merry Belated Christmas Phamous.

NA CS isn’t dead though. Just a rebuilding phase. The Liquid signing is big though with oSee being the top prospect in CS rn. I think c9 will come back when there are consistent lan events year around. You’re right Valorant isn’t going anywhere but NA Val At least is heading into the same direction as the NA CS scene. Players in the scene creating a bubble with the same players cycling between rosters. No one new given a chance. Players care more about egos and reputation rather than winning. Streaming is good but you can’t full time stream and be a pro at the same time.

posted about 3 years ago

Ranked in Valorant is no better realistically. I don’t even play mm hardly anymore. It’s broken in NA. I just play faceit.

Player break for cs, he doesn’t have any events till pro league which is still awhile away. Most likely joining EG, just playing for fun. Probably needs a mental break from cs with all the liquid stuff going on.
