You make it seem a lot more complicated than it really is. Fortnite players learned the basic concepts of the game and all the tiny stuff within 100 hours of playing the game. It’s not that complicated. A lot of Valorant is just dumbed down to begin with for the casual base.

Doesn't take that long to learn and how to use them.

You're not wrong. That is one thing that I love about CS is the ability to create plays with the awp. Yes some may say the gun is overpowered but you can counter it with smokes, flashes, mollies, etc. I remember Tenz talking about how he loves to watch awp highlights and he makes a good point. The only way you can get highlights like that in Val is if the enemy team really throws and you're on Jett.

Well the overall easier mechanics and shooting style already plays into how Niko, Twistzz, ropz, b1t, and yekindar. They are bound for success.

S1mple and device are still top tier players even if the op isn’t the same as the awp. However device awping style could work in Valorant.

Only a handful of t1 cs players switched to Valorant and they all had success. Some of them never found team success but they as individuals performed lol.

If anyone here is delusional, it’s you.

You do realize without awp s1mple is still a top 5 riflers in CS.

The awp just sets him apart. He doesn’t need it though.

posted about 2 years ago

Good for him if that is what makes him happy.

In before comments of angry fans thinking he’s washed.

If you wanna be the best, gotta put the hours in.

That being said, good luck to them.

What am I missing here

I don’t disagree with your statement but at the same time I also believe NA isn’t good enough to deserve more slots at the given moment.

posted about 2 years ago

Oh yeah, love the warriors fans who didn’t know that golden state existed till 2015. True fans right there.

posted about 2 years ago

Agreed but unlucky for you that still makes them sentinels fans. Bunch of confused 14 year olds.

posted about 2 years ago

No but we can talk about how cringe the Sentinels fanbase is.

Good points.

Steel is definitely a top igl and considering that is what NA extremely lacks is a big loss to the team. Them dropping steel before the LCQ is why I believe they didn’t qualify for champions.

Regarding nitro, those who say he wasn’t a big loss to the Valorant scene are just dumb. As you said he’s a top 3 smokes player in NA easily with a lot of experience and if needed can also be an igl. He is a huge loss for NA VAL.

Regarding the other two, I have no comment on babyj, I think faze is just TSM 2.0. Ec1s moving to NA will most likely help his fragging abilities regarding to skill level on players. But I think he may struggle to begin with because of the different play styles.

Europeans never really seemed to wrap their head around the fact that there is a big difference between nationality vs heritage/ancestry. It’s really a simple concept but most Europeans can’t wrap their head around it.

posted about 2 years ago

Definitely makes a difference for NA CS. If you put ij perspective how in both cs and Valorant. The lack of igls and game knowledge in the NA scene and NA VAL just lost one of the biggest people in the scene with that knowledge and ability to igl. It’s pretty big.

posted about 3 years ago

Of course young people play cs in NA. Just because you don’t play doesn’t mean others do. Just a lot of the younger players don’t have big names or followings like they used to back when Stewie went pro, etc.

posted about 3 years ago

Sorry but you really can’t be basing Twitter and twitch followers on determining if someone is important or not. Of course Sentinels will have a lot of followers, especially TenZ. They have the biggest following in Valorant and in NA. They have a fanbase of majority kids especially TenZ. I get they have a big following but a big following doesn’t always mean importance.

That is not at all how Valorant works, the game isn’t set around a “star young player” it’s a team game. Any time you lose a huge member of the t1 scene it hurts. If you only focus your attention on the “star” players then you don’t understand how teams work. Takes a lot more than just 1 guy.

Nitr0 was the highest paid player in the game at one point, he was definitely someone with a huge following and importance in the scene regardless of him not being a “young star player.” Lol

posted about 3 years ago

Valorant will definitely miss nitr0, he was one of the best players to look up to in Valorant and has the experience of no other. Not to mention he was also one of the hand full of igls NA could offer in both CS and Valorant. There isn't a lot of igls in NA in either game that are t1 worthy.

I would like there to be overall global rankings

Shocking news

That irrelevant guy was the highest paid player in Valorant off salary at one point. You clearly care because you cared enough to comment.

posted about 3 years ago

What igl would NA possibly sign? Just like Valorant, there are a shortage of igls in NA in general. He switched because like you said, could not find a team because there were no teams. His only option would have been to trade with EG.

posted about 3 years ago

It’s funny how his fans think he’s the best player in Valorant and try to compare him to s1mple.

posted about 3 years ago

I love Tarik but can’t stand his new fanbase. He streams at such degen times for the degens. I’ll goto bed and wake up and he’ll still be chugging along.

Their needs to be global rankings.

posted about 3 years ago

I get what it is for, I’m just saying how it can be frustrating and demotivating to others.

posted about 3 years ago

Well if he already was plat last act then he already deserves it but ranks are a huge motivating factor why people play. If you were plat last act and you get placed gold 1. That can be super demotivating to be wanting to play. Especially with all the Ares stuff going on. I don’t necessarily blame him for being frustrated.

posted about 3 years ago

The fact that supposedly both those teams are a higher rank than liquid, gambit, and fnatic are beyond me in terms of global rankings.

Never understood the hype behind prod tbh. Just so much unnecessary movement and flicks it’s hard to watch. Gives me a headache.

Don’t think CS is More easier, it’s just more balanced. Lot less randomness.

He’s a MDL thrower, shouldn’t get picked up at all.

You gonna admit you don’t know how the market works? Valve doesn’t determine how much the skin prices are.

posted about 3 years ago

Rather buy skins when I want and sell them when I don’t want them anymore instead of them saying with me forever.

Sentinels simps disagree with us

Do people get baited that easily?

posted about 3 years ago

I mean some of the top EU teams have 2 UK players, 3 if you count the coach. All better than Sentinels.

posted about 3 years ago

Surprised they haven’t realized yet that you can’t be a full time streamer and full time pro at the same time.

Couldn’t even go deep in Berlin. Couldn’t make playoffs at Champs. Never learn I guess.

Sentinels care more about streaming

posted about 3 years ago

Old news
I think Skadoodle is done for good. Doesn’t seem like he cared much for the game. Might go back to streaming.
Autimatic is joining EG most likely for CS.

I was told the first two seasons are pretty good. I’ve seen part of the 1st season and liked it.

posted about 3 years ago

I’m just gonna say this

It’s hard to be a full time pro and also full time stream. Just will never work. I get there is a player break rn for Val but even before the player break, majority of the sentinels roster especially shazham put a lot of time and effort into streaming. That’s not a bad thing but you can’t do both.

posted about 3 years ago

Maybe, another idea since FPX is a Chinese org, if you want to get a bigger following back home you can bring in an Asian player or two, doesn’t have to be Chinese. Highly doubt it will happen though. But moving to CIS could also help Chinese/Asian viewers watch matches more easily due to time zones.

That gives me enough time to cook a burger between every queue.
