On a scale from Rosa Ults to Wardell Op whiffs, how much do you hate that 100T is several tiers better than TSM at the moment? 😂

There’s a bunch of absolutely cracked duelists out there that can pop off and take over a game... TenZ, Scream, Sinatraa, Derke, Asuna, Victor, BabyBay, Jampii, etc. Tough to say.

There’s so much more that goes into evaluating the best overall player because it’s hard to decide which aspects of each role carry the most weight. We should really break a “best x list” down into categories, duelists, controllers/initiators, sentinels, IGLs, etc.

If I HAD to pick one, I guess it would be TenZ at the moment.

Look, I hope you’re right man. I’m all for as many great teams competing as possible. It makes for entertaining matches and a stronger regional group of teams.

I personally don’t think they’re going anywhere until they ditch Wardell, or his mentality changes, but that’s just me. Anything is possible. I can only go by what we’ve seen, and recently it hasn’t been great.

If it makes him feel any better, I’ll gladly admit that there was a period when the game first launched where TSM was probably the best team in NA if not the world. But it was short lived and the meta just passed them by.

That being said, they looked better this past challengers than they had been looking, so maybe there’s hope for them. But they aren’t top 5. Even top 10 would be a stretch when you have teams like Faze, NRG, LG, XSET, ANDBOX, BBG, GenG, etc that can realistically compete with them. And they aren’t touching Sentinels, 100T, C9, Envy, or V1 at the moment.

I’m not, I’m just being honest with you man. I’m trying to help snap you out of the TSM delusion. You can be a fan, just be realistic man TSM Havnt looked good in months.

SEN is certainly the better team no doubt, I’m just saying 100T vs SEN is the closest thing we’ve got a to a rivalry forming in NA. With their Twitter interactions etc and I do think they are the two best teams, granted SEN has the clear advantage atm.

They are a top tier 2 team I agree. The teams you listed are exactly the league I put them in.

They fall below fringe Tier 1 teams like NRG, XSET, Immortals, LG, Andbox, BBG, TSM, T1, etc though. At least until they prove otherwise. I’m not saying rise of bad though, just that shanks seems like a tool as a person lol

He’s only suspended for not cooperating with “riots investigation”. Which was probably at the recommendation of his legal team. The actual allegations are still pending.

I’m not saying he’s innocent, just that we can’t crucify him until the police make a ruling.

It’s good for NA Valorant. At least if TenZ agrees to return to C9 pro team. SEN with Sinatraa are still elite. The new C9 roster with TenZ would also be elite. We get 2 great teams instead of 1.

I’m not a fan of either team, but I think that’s the best outcome to encourage the best games and the most competition and that’s what I’m here for.

I think I’m just old and pessimistic and enjoy their passive aggressive humour lol. Steel can be a bit much at times, but Hiko seems like a good dude.

Well, TenZ is better than any of them, so it really doesn’t matter which one you bench. Ideally bench the other duelist, or whoever you think is the weakest player, and they automatically become better with TenZ regardless.

Lol I respect the opinion. The only part I STRONGLY disagree with is Asuna being overrated. That kid is fucking Nasty. Kid frags his balls off.

Aside from TenZ and maybe Sinatraa I’d take him over any other duelist in NA. Maybe Victor or BabyBay but that’s about it. As for the rest, yeah steel can be a dick and Hiko is a little too passive at times, I’ll give you that.

Yeah, great player but I find him annoying as well. But I think it’s just because I’m a boomer and he behaves like an adolescent (with all the Sheeeeeshes and the way he speaks). I’m just too old to appreciate it admittedly. I’m sure he’s cool with the “kids” lol.

To be fair, I didn’t expect much from the regions outside of EU/NA. I didn’t buy the hype. It’s easy to be a big fish in a small pond. Doesn’t mean you can swim with the sharks lol (pun intended)

Sentinels seem to be the consensus most hated so far. But TSM and 100T aren’t far behind.

In my humble opinion NA goes:

1. sentinels
2. 100T
3. Envy
4. C9
5. V1
6. Faze

I think V1 heated up at the right time to make masters and I’ll need more time and consistency from them to fully buy into it.
100T have the biggest rivalry and are the closest consistent competition for sentinels. They beat them to win first strike and have had some close 2-1 losses to them. Don’t get me wrong, sentinels are admittedly the best team, but the top 5/6 can really all beat eachother. Sentinels has had to make several lower bracket runs so far.

I’d like to see TenZ return to pro for C9. Their team is actually good now they’d be extremely competitive with TenZ.

Agreed. Honestly I’d like to see Sinatraa on SEN and TenZ back on c9 and we’d have two elite competitors instead of one.

Personally I think NA goes SEN, 100T, Envy, C9, V1 in that order as the top 5 atm (although C9 and V1 are interchangeable with Faze just outside the top 5). With TenZ C9 would be NASTY.

I’ve been a 100T fan since I’ve been following Nadeshots pro career for over a decade (I was a die hard optic fan in the cod days). When Hiko joined it just sealed the deal for me as a 100T fan

Shroud talks about this on stream and I tend to agree with him. The asking price for TenZ is going to be astronomical, in the millions of dollars, and I don’t think that’s something SEN can afford. They joked that financially, C9 would probably be able to buy the rest of sentinels and have them play there before sentinels can afford to buy TenZ (hyperbolic I know). All of the sentinels guys seem REALLY close with Sinatraa still. Shahzam couldn’t hold in his giddy excitement when he ran into him in a solo queue ranked match.

Add to that fact that SEN also have Sinatraa coming back to comp in 6 months. Don’t forget he was considered arguably the best player in the world too at times before all this went down. More likely, they figure out a way to rent him until Sinatraa can play again.

And honestly, if TenZ would consider it, C9 would be NASTY with him back on the roster now. Since they’ve dropped the original team and picked up floppy they look elite... it wouldn’t just be TenZ and Frendz anymore.

Forgot about Shanks, yeah that dude is an absolute tool. No wonder he’s been dropped from so many teams.

Yep I think you’ve got Canada covered pretty well. Those were the names that jumped out at my too... TenZ, Steel, Subroza, Wardell, and the GenG crew were what immediately came to mind as options. I forgot about the V1 guys, nice catch.

This would be tough for the Americans... there’s too many tier 1 players to narrow down into 1 super team lol.

They are definitely below the tier 1B-2 teams like NRG, ANdBOX, BBG, Immortals, Luminosity, GenG, T1, TSM, XSET etc.

I watched the tournament on shrouds stream because of the insight it provides. Aside from shroud, who was a tier 1 CS player and radiant level Valorant player, you also got guest like n0thing (tier 1 CS player/Radiant Valorant) and Hiko (Tier 1 CS pro/active tier 1 Valorant pro) providing way better insight than the plat-diamond casters provide during the games.

I agree. If anyone can figure it out (in NA at least) it’s Steel (with the help of veterans like Nitr0 and Hiko). Asuna and Ethan are there to frag out. And they are good at it lol

I’m on the fence. I like him because he just seems like a good dude. He has some decent leadership qualities, he definitely has the ability to clutch when it counts... he uses sova utility really well.

But on the flip side, I admit that he “baits” a little too much and frequently placed himself in positions where he HAS to clutch. But that’s also kind of sova’s role in a sense... Idk.

Sinatraa is on a 6 month suspension from competing so he won’t be helping anyone any time soon. And won’t be going anywhere until the TenZ situation is sorted out. There’s no guarantee Sen can afford C9s price.
