I get your point, but I think that mostly has to do with the language barrier because most Japanese people and fans don't speak English, so you don't really see anything of the bad stuff when it happens. Japan has been known to have one of the most toxic idols and celebrity cultures in the world, although I don't speak Japanese, I'm sure there is a lot of really toxic criticism from Japanese fans that we don't see.
