Everyone was saying before the tournament that the pacific region is doomed and has not enough talent. What now bruh. Y’all just weren’t watching. There’s actually an insane bias, I can understand underrating a team like talon when going up against eg, but to think that they were an underdog against mibr was so fucking stupid. I love Bren and sideshow but my god riot NEEDS to get more casters who aren’t NA and EU casters cause the bias that they have due to them watching those two regions every day and watching apac once a few months is insane.

Everyone especially the plat chat guys were saying pacific just doesn’t have as much talent. I think they just weren’t watching

I’m a foxz fan but at this point maybe they should consider putting patiphan in for foxz for more firepower especially because patiphan said he likes playing initiator and foxz seems to not be calling anymore. Just an idea in the case that pati in good form

GOD FUCKING DAMN if I hear any NA caster say that again, then I might just go insane.

Yes the gaurd lost at masters. Bodied? BODIED? DESTROYED? No fucking chance.

They lost to PRX over 2 maps. A 13-10 and a 13-8, not too close but nowhere near bodied. It took neT having a really, REALLY bad series to lose by just 3 and 5 rounds. This same Paper Rex squad would go onto get 4th in that Lan, and then place 2nd at the next global lan while pushing the best team to ever stroll out of EMEA (at that point) to 5 maps.

Then, there is the OpTic series. 3 Maps. They still forced 3 Maps against Chet and FNS. 13-7 to steal each teams map pick, then an 11-13 loss on map 3, fracture. And, to re-run everyone's mind on, this is the same Fracture that OpTic revolutionized and used as their win condition for M1 and most of the next split. The same comp that teams would still use up to the chamber nerf. That Fracture was only rivaled like the Guard did by XSET in the NA finals of split 2, a 14-12 win for optic. The first time the comp lost was to DRX in M2, then PRX in M2. That Fracture 13-9'd Xerxia, 13-5'd Zeta, and 13-2'd LOUD, in the same tournament. OpTic had to do an amazing comeback to win that map as well.

What I'm trying to say: NA Caster Braindead as fuck, who would have guessed. Also wanted to throw a little more respect to Guard since, if that's getting bodied, then damn. Every team got BODIED to the point of retirement at some point where they dropped a map 13-6.

no they don't. each region has their own ascension tournament and the winner of each region gets promoted to their own region's league

yeah thats why i said if he gets to play. it looks like he's going through some sort of physical therapy but it would have been so cool to see him face off against heat again

i think if your going into the tournament without supporting anyone than this can honestly one of the best tournament experiences ever. all of these teams are pretty good and its an 32 team single elimination bracket the intensity is gonna be unreal.

but as a fan of a team it fucking sucks tho. i waited 5 months I don't wanna see my team potentially knocked out in 1 or 2 games due to the format

posted about a year ago

i don't think we know for sure but tln coach zeus has said on stream before that patiphan is going to start (or at least play) in all the other events so I think he's gonna start. although I think garnets was scrimming with them in the leaked scrim against bleed

i feel like this format is the perfect way to create the most insane and hype tournament that you can with 32 teams.
but god as a fan I just can't handle the fact that some of the teams were only gonna see play once

this thread is insane bro aint no way most of the comments is just mfs saying no and when there is a list its either some joke list or single region list 😭😭

They have some interesting players but i don't know if picking up seoldam or reita was a good pick up both of them haven't played since 2021. I think there have gotta be some more promising japanese/korean prospects to pick up. I like xnfri, I think Anthem looked pretty good in LCQ and Suggest is good, so I think they have potential but surely they could have picked up some better players.

yeah carpe kinda not it right now at least. also was there a rumor about profit specifically? feels like theres no way profit would go to valorant

posted about a year ago

Honestly I agree as well, but I still don't hate this as much as the signings that they did make are good and I still think the three old players can still be valuable. I think Dubstep is still really good so I just wanna see what they can do. But honestly, I do think that they should have rebuilt harder with guys like JA and some of the other Filipino prospects cause there has been a lot of good players coming from ph but they just haven't been able to form a good team yet

posted about a year ago

well yeah cause this whole year apac only referred to sea + sa and oce so yes he probably was talking about the apac region from this year and not the whole pacific league as a whole
