Many people believed that DK was worse than F4Q, Nuturn, and TNL after they lost to GE. Hell even I didn't think they would beat Nuturn (I thought Nuturn would edge it out), but I was wrong props to them. I would love to see a team who lost in the first round win the entire thing. DK is a classic example of how 1 game doesn't define how good you really are and proved themselves to everyone.

The meta right now is that every team has one player on Jett using the operator. Just look at how many top teams do that it’s insane and they do it because it has so much impact on the game. Once Ban was dropped LG needed another opper and I guess they decided that the best person to do so was Dre even though that doesn’t make sense since he is so much better on the rifle. If they had just kept either Thief or Ban this wouldn’t be a problem but it is what it is.

Ten and Meiy are absolutely insane, but you can't call Seoldam overrated when he's in the driver seat for the running of the best Jett in Asia. SugarZer0 is always a great controller, he's an amazing anchor and has insane impact when they are trying to take a site. Astell is a great IGL, without him their retakes and executes would be much weaker. The whole team is cracked out their minds.

He is a top 3 reyna player I agree with that. But it's obvious that the problem goes beyond just Dre. If Dre does go reyna he's not going to Op. He has to go jett since every team needs at least 1 opper (and jett is the only viable agent with the op); Dre can never actually switch unless the issue with the team comp is figured out soon.

true, I made the same point in a later post as well lol. It's easy to say that GE is on the level of these cracked Korean teams with hindsight and recency bias.

One game isn't the end all be all. One game doesn't mean one team is better than the other and vice-versa. Recency and hindsight bias might make you rank DWG lower than every other team when realistically they're around the same level as some other top teams.

I don't know too much about korean val, but I believe that DWG is much closer to TNL and F4Q than you think.

I do think the top tier Korea teams are more likely to win I'm just saying GE winning is not too surprising of a possibility. I wouldn't consider it an upset. Teams like VS and maybe Nuturn are out of their reach at this moment though.
