Tbh the value of the EWC is not on the trophy cuz regardless of how many top teams there are, its still not a proper format where you will actually get "the best of the best" The value is on the nasty amounts of money they are giving out (shocker amirite) which can literally cover an org's year worth of expenses and they can also use this partnership as more leverage for sponsors.
But if I had to say just merit wise prob about a regional since there are still a good amount of teams from many regions
This why I hate riot support man. I have noticed many people have had issues getting their hacked accounts back because support simply won't do much, and when asked they just say something along the lines of "should've used 2FA to prevent getting hacked in the first place". Seems like once you get hacked they really don't brother doing much to help. Another reason why I haven't spent much money in this game.
Baiting in vlr is kinda easy if u get the hang of it. I made a comment glazing EWC calling it a Tier S+ tournmanet and some many mfs fell for it thinking I was srs😭
On a serious note, it's an invitational where teams can participate in many games with their different rosters. From a competitive standpoint is not that convincing since all teams are invited but the reason this tournament has some relevance online is basically due to the prize pool. Each team has the chance to take upwards of $1,000,000 so doing good here can really help teams economically.
It's basically a Tier S+ tournament where only the best of the best appear. If a team is not there it is probably not relevant enough

I know some people angry about morals and all that but just say you need the money fam, that's basically it. eSports is hardly a profitable business and teams need money wherever they can get it from to stay afloat or expand. Now regarding moraly, I don't just judge because I'm certain the phone, clothing and many products I use were made in some 3rd world country using cheap labor so I'm in no position to be virtue signaling and neither are many of those who are complaining.
